the 90's were the shit! I miss the days when chicks wore high waisted jeans all ripped up and when you weren't cool unless you drove a Camaro or Jeep Wrangler
Sooooo, idk if you'd call my music "industrial" but it's damn close! Stop by and check out my music, Unknown Sightings and Unforgotten Space are 2 of my favorites, but listen to them all if you have the time and show your friends. =) I hope people can enjoy my music some day.
Sister Machine Gun is one of those bands which is fucking excellent but was hard to find. I wouldn't have ever heard of Sister Machine Gun, Gravity Kills and KMFDM is it wasn't for the internet.
I can vouch for that, however I remember when the internet wasn't exactly all that big-- I'm talking specifically of course around the time Mortal Kombat the movie came out. Had this movie never been made-- compilations of some of the most unique artists who are never given their props, I'd most likely have never been exposed to SMG, or any of the other bands you so mentioned.
God Bless Mortal Kombat, God GIVES Sister Machine Gun-- way to go!
Burn definitely had to be SMG's magnum opus though.
ive known of kmfdm for a while i like "underground" music if it even qualifies as that. im a music buff with the exceptions of rap and hip hop so i have a wide taste in music. i like some kmfdm but a lot of it is crap but what band cant you say that about? lol anyway yeah i never heard of sister machine gun or gravity kills before the MK soundtrack.
To be honest, I would've never heard of them if it wasn't for this soundtrack.
I owned this cd for years before I left it playing and really got into this song, many all the wasted years I could've been jamming this song, with this girl or that girl, :D jk.
I know. The More Kombat CD was where I first heard it. They had to change their name because a band already had Crawlspace. It took me a couple of years to figure out who they really were.
@ViperJones I miss SMG and Geezer, listened to them all the time in the 90's while playing Doom and Duke Nukem 3D in place of the midi music.
Also the MK OST CD made a great stand-in for the quake soundtrack, one time I left the disc in and forgot about it and played Quake...Next thing i know I'm slaying creatures from a demonic dimension to Fear Factory's Zero Signal and loving it. Quake was never the same for me again.
I believe it, this song was and probably is the magnum opus of SMG's entire career and had every other song they made spun in this very direction, jeez, I think the world would've exploded.
This movie was the very source I heard this song when it played at near the very end of the credits and faded out JUST as the song ended... couldn't think of a more perfect way to end a movie's credits as most don't end that awesomely.
these ost one big flashback start these adventure by mk2 snes cult about all learn your kids to play video games mane

That's sweet. KMFDM is my absolute favorite band. I'm glad you found them. Also, Gravity Kills' self-titled album is great. Still.

I wonder how many times in the past 13 years since this song's release has it been played during sex. It's definitely a mood setter.
This is the best song off of the soundtrack, followed by Geezer's "The Invisible".

Any similar "mood setter"s you wanna suggest mate? ^^
skullchukka 2 years ago
Pretty much anything by Chris Randall (singer for Sister Machine Gun). The Burn album in particular. Check out another song from it called "Inside."
None come close to "Burn" in my opinion, but here are a few other good ones:
"Blood & Fire" by Type O Negative (which is also on this soundtrack)
"Hold" by Gravity Kills
"My Ruin" by Sevendust
"You Shook Me" by Led Zeppelin
"Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin
"Since I've Been Loving You" by Led Zeppelin
"Reflection" by Tool
ViperJones 2 years ago
When Sevendust did the song "My Ruin" they're band name was actually "Crawl Space" ... its also in one of the MK Soundtracks.

if you want to go with zeppelin, try "black dog" or "kashmir" instead.
