  • Very interesting, but to short... The british version has 60 minutes. Genealogy is so interesting and you can learn so much about history.

    Love from Germany,

  • why does chantal keep grabbing that ladies arm or hand, it looks like it sorta irritates her. great story though.

  • I'm a little surprised that the canadian version of this show is so short. Pretty hard to look at both sides of the family in half an hour.

  • Thank you so much. I never heard of Chantel Kraviazuk before, but I like this. She is nice.

  • @britfrenir you're welcome. You should check out her music if you haven't already!

  • It never showed her father and she never asked about her mother's father's side.

  • @britfrenir it's too bad, but they only had twenty-something minutes of air times, so they couldn't really cover everything.

  • Aboriginal means native of the land. This was a great story. Glad Chantal found her roots.

  • Thanks for sharing this; I hope the CBC version can be out on DVD like the BBC ones are.

  • Aboriginal people? Is that a term for native americans in Canada?

  • Yeah, they're the same.

  • @moenna888 If i'd be one of them i'd insist on the therm "real-americans" :)

  • @moenna888 NO it is not. They prefer to be called First Nations because that is what they are.

  • can someone please tell me the name of the song she sings at the end of this? it's beautiful

  • The song is called "Far Away" and it's on Chantal's album, "Colour Moving and Still".

  • thanks so much!
