Very interesting, but to short... The british version has 60 minutes. Genealogy is so interesting and you can learn so much about history.

why does chantal keep grabbing that ladies arm or hand, it looks like it sorta irritates her. great story though.

I'm a little surprised that the canadian version of this show is so short. Pretty hard to look at both sides of the family in half an hour.

Thank you so much. I never heard of Chantel Kraviazuk before, but I like this. She is nice.

@britfrenir you're welcome. You should check out her music if you haven't already!

It never showed her father and she never asked about her mother's father's side.
@britfrenir it's too bad, but they only had twenty-something minutes of air times, so they couldn't really cover everything.
Aboriginal means native of the land. This was a great story. Glad Chantal found her roots.

Thanks for sharing this; I hope the CBC version can be out on DVD like the BBC ones are.

Aboriginal people? Is that a term for native americans in Canada?

Yeah, they're the same.

@moenna888 If i'd be one of them i'd insist on the therm "real-americans" :)

@moenna888 NO it is not. They prefer to be called First Nations because that is what they are.
