  • As far as I have read in the book, which was not mentioned in the movie, the rescue action had already been going on when they found him, and the helicopter was quite close. I do not exactly remember how it was contacted ( and the book is being read by a friend of mine so I do not have it now) but they were somewhere close.)

  • The melody is kinda haunting and moves around inside my head...good job!

I came upon it earlier today by accident and then 2 hours later here I am again...kinda cool.

  • sounds like adele someone like you

  • @RovingLandRover You have missed a comma between the words 'up' and 'faggot', so I don't really understand what you mean, as there is no such thing as an 'up faggot'. Nice try, but your literacy skills have failed you.

  • please anyone knows what is the name of the song at the part when he got rescued?

  • @RelativeBadger been spotted as he was too far below sight ( u cud see that from the movie itself)...

  • @RelativeBadger ! dude if you read the book you would have understood the movie. Like, the chopper was on its way cause of the "missing person" call from his parents or Brian (forgot). Soo yeah the chopper was on its way trying to find Aron (they knew his location cause they tracked down his credit card last used which was a nearby petrol pump) and the spotted his car soo they knew he was somewhere in the Bluejohn Canyon but even with the chopper if Aron didnt amputate his harm he wudnt have ..

  • @faaleh13 I'm not a dude - that's American slang for 'chump'. I haven't read the book, so I didn't think that was clear in the film (it's a film, not a movie) anf if you had likewise attended school, then you would have a decent command of the English language; it seems you skipped off a lot.

  • There are many errors in this film, but the one which gets me the most is the one at the end. He meets another group of explorers and asks if they have a phone and they say "Yes, but no signal."...in which case, how do they manage to call for a chopper? Any ideas, or am I missing something?

  • @RelativeBadger his will to survive seemed to have overwritten the signal strength.

  • @dwderos the chopper was already surching for him

  • @RelativeBadger It is becasue in the real story they actuly found out that he was in canyonlands national park and the chopper was already looking for him but was ready to go back to re-fuel and eirther they managed to flag the chooper or it spoted them before heading back

  • @RelativeBadger MSNBC's Tom Brokaw had a detailed special on Aron Ralston: by that time, people knew something was wrong and were searching for him. They even had a helicopter out looking for him. From what I can tell here, the chopper showing up at that time is an accurate portrayal of what happened. The chopper crew were ready to turn around to refuel when they saw him and the other hikers on the ground. I haven't seen the movie, did he make a call or something? THEN that would a problem LOL

  • Lol so I typed up my response before noticing that you already had a few replies... silly me. Sorry about that

  • @RelativeBadger In the book, the chopper was already looking for him, it just happened to pass over a large group of people that flagged it down as it was returning to Moab

  • @RelativeBadger

The chopper was looking for him before he even escaped from the boulder. His family and friends noticed he was missing so they contacted the rescue team.

  • @EdgeofWorld86 The whole point of the movie is that there was nobody looking for him - at least, they didn't have a clue on where to look. Don't you ever pay attention?

  • @Flashtoorev by the way, one of aron's friends told them that aron said he always wanted to go to some indian canyons or something like that. so they searched around and found his truck. so the rescuers looked around and was gonna stop and turn back because they were running low on fuel but just when they were about to turn back they saw aron and the other explorers

  • @Flashtoorev oh and sorry for my bad english.

  • @RelativeBadger in the real story, rescuers were looking for him since wednesday. When the chopper saw him walking from above, they came to his rescue. The explorers only helped give him some water and a bit of food until the chopper found him

  • @RelativeBadger The chopper was already looking for him, the people that ran ahead just got the two rangers at the trailhead to come help him. The chopper was about to turn back because it was running low on fuel, and then it spotted him. It's all in his book, and it really helps to read it for the movie.

  • @RelativeBadger he said to them to run forward ... few of them ... the mother of the child and child did and meet another group which could had satelite phone which is very usefull when going somewhere where isnt signal ...

  • @RelativeBadger They dont. A plane was looking for him for days.

  • @RelativeBadger read the book and you will no

  • @RelativeBadger going along with EdeofWorld86... the cuts in the scenes are part of what make the film what it is. also, these "errors" you see are so you don't have to sit through the unnecessary parts. director's get hours of film and the editors have to use what's best so that people don't walk out on the movie saying it was too lengthy. the ONLY hole in the plot that bugs me is the fact how he got his backpack off.. i wanna know that.

  • @RelativeBadger They didn't call for a chopper, if you have ever heard the real story, Aaron was walking and indeed did see 3 people, the man and woman gave them everything he had 2 oreos and their water, during this time, his friend Rob at work got an e-mail hours before saying that a freind heard he wanted to visit the canyons. A search party went out, and just as the chopper was turning around to get fuel, the son and mother waved and the chopper saw them, this is the REAL story.

  • @RelativeBadger any other "errors?"

  • @RelativeBadger actually, the chopper was already looking for arron, if you knew Anything about the real story you'd know what, those people were just added in for dramaticeffect, dont write shit on places if you dont know what your talking about.

  • Two of them ran ahead. And if you do research on the actual event you'll know that the chopper was already flying around looking for him before he met up with those people.

  • @RelativeBadger the helicopter was part of a search and rescue mission that had begun. the efforts by his mother were not covered in the film. they spotted his truck and continued to fly over the area when he was spotted.

  • @RelativeBadger dont they send the girl for help?

  • @RelativeBadger Helicopters were out searching for him. They saw movement on the ground and went to go check it out. Also, what other errors?

  • As far as I have read in the book, which was not mentioned in the movie, the rescue action had already been going on when they found him, and the helicopter was quite close. I do not exactly remember how it was contacted ( and the book is being read by a friend of mine so I do not have it now) but they were somewhere close.)

  • @RelativeBadger I read the book and the chopper was already searching for him.

  • @TheXboxWolf What's the book like??

  • @JIMMIEEC

(Sorry this is really late lol) It's really good!! He not only tells the story of him being stuck in the canyon, he also tells story's of his other adventures! I totally recommend reading it! :)

  • @RelativeBadger chopper was already in air on S & R mission, pure luck for Aaron

  • @RelativeBadger The people who where running away called the chopper...

  • @RelativeBadger the chopper was searching for him.

  • @RelativeBadger The Search party found him

  • @RelativeBadger if you see his documentry on youtube he says that along with his WILL he was lucky too and the appearance of chopper is just luck nothing else........................

The error which i found is that james franco didnt lost his weight but in original aaron lost 20 kg i think

  • @RelativeBadger You're missing the real story... and time...

  • @RelativeBadger when he asked the two to run ahead they went and got a hold of someone whoe could get a chopper. if you read the book, there was a police helicopter roaming the area looking for him and when you spot a guy with a homeade splint and one arm missing, you tend to investigate.

  • @RelativeBadger They were probably not very far from the station. And they called from there.

  • @RelativeBadger the chopper was already looking for him in the first place it was rescue chopper that had already sent for hium and was searching for hours when they saw him

  • @RelativeBadger This is a true story so regardless of an error in the film this is how it happened. They had sent out a search unit to look for him and found his car, they were actually scanning the local area and no phone call was made, the wife and kid who ran ahead met up with policeman who the radio'd the helicopter :)

  • @RelativeBadger i think that brian(the man from his work) told the police about that and they searched him

about the movie-he was great and very impressive and brave choise danny boyl did about the case.

    i very enjoyed of it!

  • @RelativeBadger In real life there was a helicopter already searching for him that day, so it was already there and eventually found him

  • @RelativeBadger They ran on without him, and probably found an area where they could get a signal.

  • @RelativeBadger 911 calls have a different demanding for signal, actually in some phones you can read the message «only emergency calls» when the signal is off.

  • @RelativeBadger if you actually look into to original story there was a chopper looking for him in that area the same day he cut free.

  • @RelativeBadger They didn't call for a chopper it was already in the air searching and when they was going to turn back to refuel they noticed Aron and the tourists on the ground. If you have the Dvd watch the special features as it is explained, or you could watch, Aron Ralston Desperate Days in Blue John Canyon which goes into more detail about Aron being stuck in the cave and his rescue

  • @RelativeBadger

His mother had actually sent the chopper. It's something that's briefly discussed elsewhere and not mentioned in the movie.

  • @RelativeBadger The mum and the child ran for help, they may have gotten a signal :)

  • @RelativeBadger Well, they went off to get others. Perhaps there was a ranger station nearby or another hiker group with a stronger phone.

  • @RelativeBadger Actually, if you watch the real documentary, there was already a search and rescue going on, and as after he met up with the other hikers, it took a few more hours before aron was ready to just lay down and fall asleep. Then, the helicopter spotted them. I think 127 hours just didn't catch the longevity of the hike aron had to do when he freed himself. It took at least 3-4 hours before the chopper found them.

  • @RelativeBadger if you read the autobiography, there was already a search team looking for him at that point, the group he found already knew who he was, and he asked the people to run ahead to look for rangers trying to find him :)

  • @RelativeBadger as far as I remember the woman and the child run ahead to ask for help

  • @RelativeBadger - I suggest you read / watch the real story. Once you do, you'll realize that the chopper came not because of the people who were there, but rather, because of his family - that managed to find him in time to send a chopper.

  • @RelativeBadger yes, in the actual case, aron's mother had realised he was missing and had by then phoned the park he had been stuck in, and they sent out a rescue team on that day, so they were already looking for him. i guess they just didn't feel the need to put that bit in the film haha :-)

  • @RelativeBadger yeah they were already looking for him..there aren't "many errors"..it's a completely true story..

  • @RelativeBadger Nothing wrong with your question. I bought the movie on itunes, and the "EXTRAS" show how aaron's mother does a clinical search for him, by working out many options. One of that is a chopper, which is sent to look for aaron, and on its way back to refuel the pilot sees a group of people waving at him (the other explorers) and lands to pick him up. Aaron was very very lucky in a way because he was at the right spot at the right time.

  • @RelativeBadger Rescue teams were already looking for him and had narrowed their search to blue john canyon after finding his car a few miles from there

  • @RelativeBadger if you think of it in "real life" terms, every cellphone has triple signal strength boosting technologie in it which when you call any emergency be it the police or fire etc your phone will bassically turn into a satilite phone, and also for blackberrys and non touch screen phones, if your phone is out of batterie and you dial 911 it has an emergency baterie that turns on just on this occasion..

  • @RelativeBadger no if you watch the documentry the helicopter is already out searching for him.

  • @RelativeBadger His friend and his mom called the police one day ago, they were searching for him already and found him there with the explorers. You can see it in the documentation about Aron Ralston! Also on Youtube!

  • @RelativeBadger they tell the kid and wife to run ahead for help and they apparently meet someone or take the car to someone/somewhere to call on phone or get to house etc.

  • @RelativeBadger they don't. In actuality, and if you read his book, his mother had called in for a scout team to go by choppers at almost the same time that he was amputating his had off. So it would have flown by him later on that day, if he had just waited. BUT...he was so far down in the canyon that they would probably have flown right by and not seen him. He had no choice but to make that desperate decision...no help could have come in time.

  • @RelativeBadger if you read his book or research the story, the park officials were looking for him as he was reported missing and was by total chance that the helicopter was passing near by and got a call that he was found!

  • @RelativeBadger the helicopter was already searching for Ralston. when the two people ran ahead, they found a man who had a different cell service. he notified the police

  • @RelativeBadger His parents had already contacted the police and everyone was looking for him... That's why the chopper appeared... :)

  • i love this, really suits the movie, amazing piano! u gotta make it longer, i keep on repeating it. were you inspired by another song to make this? if so which one?? i loooove it.

  • hi, somebody knows the name of the version that sounds in the film?

    thanks

  • Comment removed

  • top effort mate :o) ~ this should be in their soundtrack

  • ...Wow! Really good work, 2.28 of my life well spent XD

  • awesome work ! love it :)

  • I think you inspired in the ost of Sunshinhe, Ink, and Kickass... Don´t you? But i like very much, good work

  • One more question, if I may:

How did you make this track? Any specific program?

  • @Zhian91 Pro Tools

  • Did you make this from scratch or were you inspired by some other song? In that case, which song would that be?

  • @Zhian91: I made up the melody and the rest of the tune just came from that. I guess you could say it sounds like B.O.B...i don't know who the flood is.

  • @dwderos It does sound a little like B.O.B. indeed, but for some reason I like it far better.

And about 'the flood', I think speakers159 is refering to the new Robbie Williams song 'The Flood' , which has none similarties with this track whatsoever.

You should make an extended version or something ;)

    Good job composing it!

  • dude this stuff seems to be xactly as the flood-take that;........

  • awesome stuff. You should make a longer version of this. Keep up the nice work!

  • sounds amazing!well done:-)

  • Great Song How do I get it
