I have been following Cavendish since he started out in 2007, and while I knew right away he's immensely talented, I also noticed he's too agressive, and too emotional. There was no need for him to veer off his path in that sprint. He better learns to control himself fast, because he'll be an outcast very soon.

@kinered While descent can be dangerous as well, most of the time you only rely on gravity to pull you down. Sprinting exerts huge forces on your bike, and you are constantly rocking your bike sideways violently. Sprinting is definitely more dangerous.
Cavendish is such a dirty cockwhore who endangers the other riders once more with unfair moves to the side - he should be banned from pro-cycling ... that s one of the reason he s absolutely not like by other riders - he s just simply an arrogant asshole who try to take his wins on the costs of others !!!!
Haussler's front wheel(leading edge) touched Cav's front wheel(trailing edge) causing both wheel to rub, lock and stop. it took less than a second for each wheel to stop and caused the crash.
@TheEnoculator Agree, but I think that the only real dangerous place in a race is a down from a mountain road (wet) at 80 or more km/h . The sprint shoul not be dangerous if everybody follow STRAIGHT direction. The stronger win, that's all, but no, this guys crossing from one side to another, touch the shoulders, etc. that shoul'd be a infraction penalized for UCI with discount seconds.
Both Cav and Haussler are to blame, unfortunately one can't start tomorrow while the other gets a 30 seconds time penalization while hes already in 100th position...
I would figure they were both trying to overtake Ciolek's wheel to get riders off of their own with out seeing each other till the last second, when you see Haussler drop his shoulder to brace for the hit.

The bobbing head loony who got third is interesting to watch.
News just in, Chav'n'Wish never spoke in yesterdays stage, no, not Choventry, the banned swearing.
Remember him in Canterbury TdF, 07 f''ing and blinding the woman who took him down, he was going to grow up, never happened, never will.

Indeed, Greg Henderson (SKY) was so lucky,
My favorite Cavendish fell with Haussler
But it was Cavendish' Fault...
Unfortunately...

Look how close the Sky-ryder is from falling! That´s fantastic lucky.

I'm so glad I'm not a sprinter, but a climber. Sprinting is a dangerous gamble when you are going at 70+ km/h. Hope everyone was OK.
