@nyfries my comment is over 8 months old, I honestly dont remember making it but anyway this application is out dated now with siri it knows what kind of period you want using 'context'
I first used Dragon dictate software over 10 years ago on my PC, it was excellent then. Now I have dragon 10 naturally speaking on my PC it's very good but I have been waiting months for the iPhone Dragon dictation app to come out in the United Kingdom, it has just arrived now and I have downloaded it, its wonderful and it seems it does adapt to your voice like the PC version.
hi thanks for that its really nice i really want to download it but i couldnt find it on app story could you help me how to find it i ve got iphone 3g please let me know how to find it thx
I got this app a few days ago. It really does work great --amazing, really. The craziest thing is that the app is currently free! I would have comfortably paid $5-8 for it. And to think... it's version 1.0!
I have this app and it's great, but what I'm most impressed about in this video is the way you somehow flicked up on your homescreen and was able to display small thumbnails of every one of your pages on your phone. Is this possibly something I missed? How in the world did you do that?
This is fantastic, But I just discovered there's already an app that let's you do this, and it's FREE. It's called vlingo. Just install it from the iTunes app service. Select "search", and when you tap "press and speak", it will transcribe anything you say. The text appears in an editing window with a keyboard for corrections. You can keep pressing "speak" to add more to your document. Then just copy and paste to wherever. It's works!
Yes, you have to speak clearly one trying to speak to the application if you want good accuracy but he really does record your voice and transcribe it to text with almost perfect accuracy. And it's fast. to the application if you want good accuracy and really does record your voice and transcribe it detects with almost perfect accuracy and it's not 100% perfect ....I HAVE MACSPEECH AND THAT'S HOW IT RECOGNIZE YOUR VOICE FROM THE VIDEO!
As a professional transcriptionist, I'm impressed and frankly amazed that it capitalized the name of the company, Nuance. I wonder if it is programmed to do that and would capitalize the word even when it's used as a common noun.
but i also would like to know how can you zoom out of homescreen and see multiple homesceerns at once?! how cool is that? i also wnat to be able to do it, which app?
Orbit is amazing and makes a huge difference in using the phone.
Not sure about the other apps. It is an Apple thing not a Nuance/Dragon thing. That is why they make extensive use of the "copy to clipboard" feature.
Obviously this application isn't going to be for you. But for someone like me, it means that I can respond to comments like this in only a
few seconds with my voice instead of having to type -- which is about as much time as I want to spend responding to comments like this. (And yes I responded to this comment using the Dragon application)
To add punctuation you simply pause for a moment, say the punctuation, pause again then keep going. It takes a bit to get the hang of the timing but then works very well.
I wish you would read comments correctly. I didn't ask how to get it to use punctuation (I would have said "a period" or "a comma" in that case), I was asking how to get the application to write the words "period" and "comma."
It is a jailbreak app called OverBoard. It is one of the "must have" apps for me that means I no longer need to flick flickflick flick to find the apps I need.

Great review! I have a questions that is not Dragon related. How did you get your app icon's on those multiple screens? I want that!

davepamn wrote "People don't want to speak clearly and slow. The dragon app needs to have accuracy at the speed of natural talk."
Simple solution... don't use it. :)
It works great if you speak clearly mediocre when you don't so you choose... use it in a way that is effective or type.

This app is amazing! I just downloaded it and posted a similar video dictating on Dragon that you can find on my Youtube channel.
The dictation is perfect! I didn't even speak like a robot like I normally do. I just spoke normal.
