  • your device looks diffrent. you have one two many magnets in your ring. remove one magnet from the ring so a vortex will be created

  • @Segnet37451172 That was done in one of the other videos. It made no difference in the peculiar effect of a supported sphere being teased across a smooth surface. And I can produce the same spinning effect with just ONE magnet or even NO magnet.

  • @ScorchGD the central magnet is "hanging" in the field which puts gravity and magnetic attraction in oposition to it's boyancy point.and preventing it from "tilting". where as in the hand held attemps, the magnet was ballanced ona ball. the grav. force would tend to cause it to tilt out of phase with the surrounding field. with the majority of the weight being suported on the ball rather than hanging in the field would tend to cause circular motion. as it tried to right itself. like a gyro

  • Good experiment...

but i don´t know why anyone would expect a Vortex in it...

    Cheers...

  • I salute you! so much work just to prove Hamel Spinner DONT WORK and never worked.

  • Thank you.

I produced these videos after a yahoo groupie proposed spinners be distributed as demonstration PROOF of a magnetic vortex.

There I suggested without a THOROUGH explanation of the OTHER forces causing spin; this would be a BAD idea.

Without warning I was booted from the Bedini Monopole3 yahoo group for making the 'ridiculous' suggestion to shelve this toy and study the practical application of Bedini technology instead.

    New information censored?

Will they ever figure it out?

  • your rotator magnet must have only one pole on the top. But your version has just south on one side.

  • This has already been tried. The fact remains that spin is induced simply by the peculiar behavior of a supported sphere being teased across a flat surface. Until such time you can demonstrate a disk magnet spin WITHOUT this STRONG influence coming from OUTSIDE any existing magnetism then the experiment is flawed. Please provide a method of demonstration WITHOUT the SPHERE OF INFLUENCE. Which is a SIGNIFICANT CAUSE of spin. Thank you.

  • Yes I agree your experiment is based on real facts.

  • hey its not made right. take one of the magnets out!

  • Did that in the earlier experiments. (See previous videos)

Since the spin is actually generated by the peculiar characteristics of a supported sphere teased across a flat surface, and not any kind of magnetic "vortex", it makes no difference.

Regardless of the ring magnet configuration, without the interaction of the human hand to stabilize and control both speed and direction of rotation; there will be no spin.

I recommend shelving this toy and research "energy from the vacuum"

    Scorch.

  • As previously established; the spin is caused by the peculiar characteristics of a supported sphere teased across a flat surface.

Supplying an initial spin will cause the sphere to remain centered or travel to one side and eventually stop.

This video is to demonstrate that the human hand is what controls the spin. And a remote rig will NOT cause a spin when set up properly.

When set up improperly, or off center, simple ATTRACTION teases the sphere into a spin and NOT a vortex.

  • Question: Wouldn't it be acceptable to supply an initial SPIN ... in the hope that the rotation is sustained and possibly even regenerative?

  • Thank you; I agree. Momentum is the RESULT of forces induced by the activity of trying to lift the device into an upright position.

I have seen some devices using spiral or cone patterns but, again, if the device actually runs, it is usually still just attraction and/or repulsion that makes it work. And a device using repulsion will weaken permanent magnets.

A VORTEX is a rotational force.

In a TRUE, constant, magnetic vortex; you should be able to demonstrate a constantly spinning device.

  • It is a good video but your speech contained one error. Momentum is not a force. When doing scientific discussions, you need to be careful to not use "common expressions" that have different meanings in a scientific environment.

At this point you have fairly well proven that there is no "vortex" in this case. With a little thinking from this point on, you can also prove that there can't be one for many other patterns of magnets. Adding together cases of no vortex is the idea.
