  • I've seen this done. During one year, between 2007-2008, I worked for a Dental Lab, and this was a great way to melt the gold. You didn't get to show, one of the best parts though....The spinning. I love how fast it goes. The cool down time, takes a while, since it's in the casting. The result is a beautiful Gold Crown. Excellent Video. When you have a crown built this way, you know, it'll hold together. Only once, did one Crown come back, due to a little bit rough edge on the lingual.

  • Dental technitians and jewelers are very lover paid occupations ;))) ..... nothing in return for our hard works with all of that metals and chemicals ;)))) .... when you come home - you don't feel your hands and spine ;))))

  • 3 things

    1) it is a dead end job, and

    2) we move mountains with our hands, the only problem is that its only for ten percent.

    3) there is no such thing as a retirement plan for a Dental Technician.

  • yes there is; its called: Denturist ie: Clinical qualifications for dentures.

  • Also, it sounds like you look at careers as purely a source for generating income. Live to work? or work to live?

You gotta like what your doing.

A million bucks per year for sucking ass 8hrs per day aint what I call a quality life.

  • Why are these people so stupid????

  • dead end job for sure

  • You do realize that this is part of dental school...hardly a dead end job.

  • My god.... so dirty place!!!! So rudimentary technic!!!! How FDA or ADA allow you to work like this???? My lab look like a lab not like a dump yard.

  • When I'm done with school I'll be sure to send my work to you then. sheesh.
