I know everything about him and even bought a LP player just to hear the original sound.I have friends who listen to the beatles, but most of them are guys. I am the only girl who listens to bob. But I'm freakin' proud of it!

  • @ 2:24 the band is called Cold War Kids and song Hang Me Up to Dry.

  • Am I the only kid who likes this sort of music??

  • @SandGandBandD nope ive liked him since i could speak, im 14 now

  • This is so cool

  • This is one of the best songs in the history of the universe. Some of the metaphors are pretty opaque, I guess you had to be there.

  • what song is 2:24 ?

  • @KiddiHasu no idea . . sounds like placebo?

  • @KiddiHasu "Hang me up to dry" by Cold War Kids

  • the 22nd dislike is my friend, i shared this with him and he said it isn't music. i tried to explain the ignorance in his statement. my friend only likes dubstep and "rock" made after the year 2005. oh what a sad sad state our children have come to. what are we to do?

  • @daburken

It's Allen Ginsberg and Bob Neuwirth.

  • im only 3 years old but i have to say this is better than any music my generation will ever make

  • @hsmalitia I was just born. Still got some placenta on me. I agree: our generation will never have music this good. Fucking Bieber!

  • I've only just discovered this was filmed in London at the Savoy Hotel

  • cold war kids

  • @daburken Woah, never noticed that! Looks a lot like him!

  • Is the guitar note at the end the intro to Made Of Stone, by Stone Roses?

  • The Red Hot Chili Peppers version is much better. I can't believe Dylan copied them.

  • @woodmeista1982 obvious troll is obvious

  • @woodmeista1982 I assume your joking with the Bob copied them comment. If not check the release dates.

  • dylan wrote it in 1965

  • @woodmeista1982 The red hots did a cover? didn't even know. Have to look it up now. I remember INXS's video however which was AWESOME. Check it out.

  • Why is everyone so wasteful with paper?

  • @NotSoAmericanIdiot when you think about this is probably the most eco friendly video ever.

  • @NotSoAmericanIdiot he could have gotten his eleven dollar bills with it lol

  • Definitely only just Started listening to Bob Dylan because my English teacher showed me the ways. Now this 16 yr old girl is obsessed.

  • bob dylan always says what happens in society, stand still things have not changed, still the same old problems

  • OH MY GOD! THAT WAS ALAN GINSBERG MAN!

  • That's one hell of a littering bill $500 a paper xD Could you imagine?

  • The undisputed Rock And Roll Boss!! So many good songs, lyrics, an inspiration for many Legends!!

  • Hhg

  • Is this where Christofer Drew got the idea for his What Is Love? video? I love it. This is such a great video.:D

  • this is the best video ever

  • Haha, one of the first music videos ever!

  • when he says "11 dollar bills" it says twenty on the card......

  • @Zutara4eva12

    i dont think he cares.

  • Would anyone know why this piece got filmed in the first place? I'm just wondering how/where/when Dylan expected it to be viewed? (For those who weren't around at the time, there was no internet, no MTV or VH1, no DVD's back then.) All I can guess is that he may have had a shot on getting it onto some show like Dick Clark's Bandstand, or something similar.

  • bob muito foda

  • I love Bob so much I named my first born Dylan.

  • awesome !! I guess it's where inxs got the mediate video from...

  • If I had to vote for one person to be the king of the world, it would be Bob Dylan.

  • Who is the man in the background talking to Allen Ginsberg?

  • my family reunions are in his hometown where anything and everything is bob dylan related.

  • @MunjieJump haha! I DON'T GET THIS WHERE IS HE?!

  • Uncle Bobs the man

  • uploaded my first youtube video! its the song who killed davy moore! didnt seen it before on youtube

  • Dylan ... where it all began.

  • Best fuckin rap ive ever heard. :)

  • @Derkderkify talkin' blues :)

  • Bob Dylan Mixin up the medicine.

  • Thanks for posting!

Dylan must have been listening to a recording of himself singing this in order to time when to drop the cards.

Lot of ink used to make those cards.

And that was amazing that Dylan could hold what must have been a VERY heavy stack for so long without dropping the whole thing.

  • do you think bob was trying to say something when he spelled SUCKsess? Or am i just over analyzing

  • @beatlesto You' re forgetting that Dylan didn't write those cards; Allen Ginsberg did.

  • @lunasspecto intwesting

  • @lunasspecto Actually, Ginsberg, Dylan, Donovan and Bob Neuwirth all contributed to writing the cards.

  • This song is still a true mirror of the human condition. Sadly so.

  • wtf, if it werent for the cold war kids at the end, this would have totally owned

  • What's the sons at 2:34?

  • @LeslieRichardGrove Hang me up to dry (Cold War Kids)

  • Whats with those hipster fags at the end?

  • Liam Gallagher was the lead guitarist of Taste, an Irish group from Cork that was popular in the 60s and 70s.

  • Hey, that's definitely Allen Ginsberg in the background. How did I never notice that?

  • basement medicine, pavement government, trench coat laid off, bad cough paid off, kid did, when again, alley way new friend, coonskin cap pig pen, 20 dollar bills ten, fleet foot black soot, heat put bed but, anyway many say, must bust district attorney, look out! it don't matter, tip toes no dose, those fire hose, clean nose plain clothes, wind blows, get well its hard, write braille get jailed, fail watch out kids, here they come, users cheaters, thearters, world pool new fool, leaders pawking

  • dylan invented rap

  • @AnEpicNotusedName he was also the first guy to plug a guitar in a power point and mix hop's,barley suger and water

  • @AnEpicNotusedName "Its Alright ma" is also very rap like. The song leaves you on a line to think about and amazes you.

  • oh bob. love him.

  • Yeah. umm. could you repeat the part of the stuff where you said all about the things?

  • I don`t know what the top comments are about but the song rules

  • love oasis, but dylan is the best ,cant believe that lam said that,he should know better ,dan, ireland

  • who the fuck is Liam Gallagher anyway

  • @6Rik6 he was in one os the most amazing bands with his brother noel, and that band was oasis

  • @6Rik6 Liam Gallagher is awesome

  • @6Rik6 I like Oasis, but yeah Bob Dylan is so incredible they shouldn't be mentioned on here.

  • @6Rik6 I'm not sure why Liam Gallagher has been brought up, but for you to dismiss him in such a way is very ignorant. Liam was in the biggest band in the world in the 90's, a band that pretty much summed up an entire generation. If you're going to write off everyone who isn't as good as bob dylan then you must have a very small cd collection. Very Childish indeed.

  • @1903Jefferies hey i like 1 or 2 oasis songs but just shut the fuck up guy

  • @1903Jefferies that's just a really bias opinion, sure Oasis are great but not the greatest band of the 90s lol

  • @Rainfallonmywindow23 I didn't say they were the greatest band of the 90's. I said they were the biggest. In 95 you couldn't go anywhere without hearing the songs of morning glory. Oasis have influenced alot of people. Sure not as many as bob dylan, but once again if you get pissed of with everyone who isn't as good as bob dylan then you'd be a very narrow minded person.

  • @1903Jefferies "Liam was in the biggest band in the world in the 90's" I'm sorry I misunderstood what you were trying to say, to me it sounded like you saying they're the 'biggest band' to me sounds like you're saying they were the best band in the 90s, my bad, though I never did say anything about bob dylan in my comment...

  • @6Rik6 One of the greatest frontmen of all time. Look him up. Educate yourself.

  • @dovestones Good joke

  • @6Rik6

Right!? I can't turn on the computer without seeing "Breaking News: Liam Gallagher gives this new band the thumbs down" or "Liam Gallagher doesn't approve of this new album" etc etc etc. Who the hell is he, besides a washed-up has-been from a failed '90s act, or am I just missing something?

  • fancy you spotting a gay poet

  • The other gentleman in the background is Bob Neuwirth, friend of Dylans and co-writer of Mercedes Benz (Janis)

  • But Dylans Lyrics are so much hipper than some rap tune about doin coke and killin cops, snorting heroine...Rap and hip hop, fuckin pathetic...

  • @jjs499 Rap is not all about that. hasty generalization.........

  • @joshxip whatever floats your Boat, Bloke....i f you choose to believe that, Bully for you. Its got that rap though[ no pun intended]. ya must admit............... Angry Brothers who cant sing.... Ya dig......

  • @jjs499 not much of a rap fan myself but the only rap you have exposed your self to is the top 40 stuff. Seriously there is more to a genre then a couple of so called "artists".

  • @joshxip really its a shame....... your age group doesnt have much to choose from, not like my generation... it cant be compared to the quality bands from the 60's and the 70's,the Pop, R&R, Soul. R&B groups we had.But you probably think this generation , yours, has the best music of all time...So be it...

  • @jjs499 with all do respect I have probably exposed my self to more music genres then you have. My favorite era of music so far has to be the early 80's with the so called "post punk" movement was flourishing with the likes of Joy division and so on. You just probably need to broaden your horizon, and next time please become more aware of your musical surroundings before you announce your trite commentary.

  • @joshxipWell well, well, I know a of of music, my eras of knowledge are from 50' 6o's 70's... and some 80's. So you if you think you know more music genres/ styles than me bend over , congradulate your self and and kiss your own ass ...LOL......and none of your music idols can carry Dylans Jock strap... funk off punk, go listen to the Chilli Peppers and the Beasties boys, Theyre your speed......

  • @jjs499 I also know of music genres that originated in those decades and I am not even going to start a who's better than who argument with you. My original point was that you can't logical prove that all rap/hip hop lyrical content consists of "coke and killing cops" .(your original claim is called a fallacy). there is also no need to get defensive just because of your obvious intellectual short comings. seriously give it a rest old timer.

  • @joshxip Could you be any more arrogant in your replies???

  • @ck1usa now I am the bad guy =0

  • @jjs499

How can you judge rap, when you yourself admit to your knowledge consisting mainly of music from the 50s, 60s and 70s? There's a lot more to rap than just cars, drugs and women. If you look under the mainstream, there's a lot of good in most genres. You also can't say that my age group has less to choose from than you. I can choose from the same amount as you, as I have access to music from just about most decades, and, what's more, I choose to choose from a wider range than you do.

  • @hazuinf You have no freekin idea what music,im into, and all the genres... I dig one hit wonders to classic rock, fron 60's 70's and 80's, also really dig the early days of R&R in the 50's, when Elvis and Little Richard ruled..You have no clue. Its a reall pity when The chilli pepers have to take their clothes off to get noticed...Pathetic. I like some of their music, and they are tlntd Musicians,But So is Eric Clapton, a talented guy.But not a big fan of his. great guitrst, so what.....

  • @jjs499 Actually, you said to another user that your knowledge consists of music from 50s, 60s, 70s and some 80s. that tells me enough to base my comment on. Also, you're being hypocrytical, as you are judging what I like (which is similar to you, R+R, 60s, 70s, etc. but much broader, from what you've said). The Red Hot Chili Peppers are not representatives of today's rock. They're more like funk, anyway. All I'm saying is, you can't judge rap, when you have admitted to knowing little about it.

  • @hazuinf whatever dude, you and your gen dig it,me and mine dont,Just a genre whos artists act tough and much of it glorifies violence and, has an in your face style...They cant sing, even some hip hop groups like Blackeyed peas cant sing, we are in a generation gap,. The only rapper i ever liked was MC Hammer, who actually sounded pretty cool and wasnt about violence and copkilling. Hammer had more of a positive message... something almost unheard of now.Youl nvr convince me...

  • @jjs499 You're retarded, and not listening. I DON'T LIKE RAP. You're being incredibly bigoted and narrow-minded. I dislike most rap (the mainstream stuff), but am open to underground stuff that isn't about violence and stuff. There is rap that is very clever and not about violence, drugs and women. You just can't accept that, due to narrow-mindedness. I'm not trying to convince you that mainstream rap is good. I'm telling you not all rap is like that. It's not hard to understand.

  • @hazuinf Such as NoneLikeJoshua's youtube account. He has great remixes. Two in particular are to Scary Monster's and Nice Sprites and The Lost Woods (Ocarina of Time). Thought it's dubstep, soooo..:p

  • Really Rappers, This is the FIRST Rap Song. Yall stole it from whitey. The Great Dylan No less... Rappers =, Just Brothers who cant fuckin sing, is what it is...Plain and simple...

  • In the words of the Navajo: A'yah'hay Jezus!

  • love the video man

  • the song the weatherman underground got their name from

  • i spy with my little eye something beginning with Allen Ginsberg

  • @MunjieJump That is Allen in the back ground of course. Right before this came out, Allen certified Bob as the best poet. I love the weather man line. The Weather People borrowed it for their monicker but didn't really understand the song which is quite tolerant while it is being critical.

  • Suckcess

  • Prefer the rhcp version but this is great

  • Is that Allen Ginsberg at the end?

  • @lynxa13 neat

  • My grandson is named Dylan after our hero Bob. I am 67 this month. YES he rules. My Dylan did rap songs he and his friends wrote last week on U of OR college radio station. Proud gramma.

  • @Treadsoftly14

Yup, right after thinking, "Hey, isn't that Ginsburg?" ...

My next thought was "Dylan trivia 401: Does anybody know who that was Ginsburg was talking with?"

  • @jeromekerngarcia Bob Neuwirth! (apparently).

  • Finally.... I found this shit! bob is amazing!

  • Bob Dylan's music is beyond amazing. His looks are beyond amazing too.

  • "Bob.....we forgot some of the cards"

    1:51 - man Whole?

    Coolest music video!

  • @themooddisorders ...thanks , i will Bob is a legend even my 4 year old sings along to his songs

  • @themooddisorders
