  • Amazing absolutly nailed that crow at 1:28

  • Without question the worst song I have ever heard in my lifetime. The goshawk is one incredibly cool bird. I could use a few of them in my neighborhood to knock off some of the ever annoying crows.

  • verry nice bird

  • Thats awesome lol

  • I see all these doves and crows on the fields where I drive and I figured I would need to get an airgun stop the car and shoot them or get some one else to drive me and I would shoot out the window with out stopping the car. This is a more elegant solution I think.

  • Where is this taking place? It makes sense because not all the areas you went after crows was accessible or safe for shotguns.

  • That is some beautiful country and that Goshawk is amazing! I'd like to see more.

  • Superb Gos man

  • i thought u werent allowed to hunt crows

  • f*dge crows

  • nice pet...

  • @vangbro920 This used to be the sport of Monarch an ancient time.

  • Does he get to eat his catches, or do you cook dishes of the crows?

  • Drive by hunting. Now THATS hunting.

  • Gorgeous bird. Was amazed at how calm he looked riding in the car with no hood!

  • That bird is BAD ASS - flying out the window of a car moving 60km/hr! Great video. You and your friend should make more. Thumbs up!!!

  • WOh! They really tear the bird to peices! Crazy!

  • AHHHH MY EARS!!!!!!!

  • lol nice vid. to me the owner looks like he can be a russian spy with his pet falcon haha. does missions and stuff :o

  • I would love to do that !!! ;-)

  • predivno i impresivno !

kako se počinje sa sokolarenjem ???

  • what exactly where you doing with the knife at 0:53? (just asking. i'm a fellow falconer and I am just curious, was the bird tagged?) nice raven at 2:24 by the way.

  • @Scrat252 i was only taping it,my friend is the hunter from the video.but as far as i know he's killing the crow with the knife,so she doesnt suffer much.he usually does it a lot sooner, like right away after the catch.

  • what exactly where you doing with the knife at 0:53? (just asking. i'm a fellow falconer and I am just curious, was the bird tagged?)

  • CROATIA!! Very nice nature there, some real nature!!

  • @periesicsd thank you very much... you should visit when you get the chance, especially the adriatic sea and the coast.

  • @theblade82 Ok, i will do that! The Adriatic sea and coast region is VERY NICE!!! Keep it up!! Greetz!!

  • 16 ppl are crows

  • this some bad ass vid, where do u find hawks?

  • The gos is a sprinter. Of course it relies on outrunning its prey. It's not a buzzard or eagle.

  • Možeš li mi reći kako ću uvatiti škanjaca?

  • 1:08 Cyber-hawk death glare.

  • Cool stuff man, but dont you think the crows are a bit disadvantaged because a car isnt usually seen as a predator threat by them? Just saying.

  • @setonend Exactly right! It's tantamount to CHEATING & takes ALL the Sport out of this once noble activity & sadly cheapens it! ....... Sad! Sad! Sad! :-(

  • just love goshawks

  • Awesome video and very professional hunting.

Like the way you kill the crow quick after its taken down.

Otherwise the hawk would eat it alive.

  • are u a certified falconer? and btw thats a very fine looking bird ur using.

  • @pokemonrocks08 thanks. thats my friend on the video, and yes,he is a certified hunter and falconer

  • dude how do u get a hawk??where??

  • Freakin awesome...

  • very VERY cool!

  • Part 2 (ran out of characters) I've noticed when the Blue Jays start screaming, the hawk suddenly appears. The other birds seem to know, apparently the Blue Jays are "warning" everybody that the hawk is nearby. Really cool!

  • I've discovered that I have a Northern Goshawk living in or near my back yard. He has taken care of the crow problem, (thanks, Mr. Goshawk!) We live in a small town, this hawk does not appear to be too afraid of me when I go out into the yard to put out suet for the woodpeckers. He also killed a pigeon and ate it in the back yard. He has plenty of food around here this Winter, that's for sure! He never seems to bother the songbirds that feed at my feeders.

  • Song and artist name please!!

  • EPIC cool, where is that? it seems like european crows :o

  • @skillcapeemoteplz

    Croatia, tag on cars window.

  • as a falconer, good job. LOL evil? there is no such thing. Predator and prey, that is all. His bird is not starved and is rewarded. nonfalconers should read a book before commentin

  • Im a US falconer, all non-falconers don't get it. Everthing killed is frozen for the moult. There is no such thing as "evil" just those that prey and those who are preyed upon. You babyface are a predator like it or not. They do get rewards and are not starved. A starved bird cant fly like that all muscle carefully weighed. Hungry at the hunt time but not starved, they, again, could catch nothing and have no incentive to even chase if they were not rewarded each time. Read some falconry books

  • What you're doing is evil. Keeping a bird to do a man's evil hobby. It would be a different story if you let it hunt one for food and let it enjoy its meal. Not butting in to take shots etc..

  • come to chatham ontario we have 300 thousand crows and only 30 thousand peeople the city would pay you to get rid of them

  • @mooseballs44 The city of Chatham actually hired a falconer some years ago to control the crow numbers. I'm not sure how successful it was.

  • @C0CK00 same here... my friend-the falconer on this video,is also hired to hunt crows in the city of Cakovec, cause they make a lot of mess and poop on people, and theres like thousands of them.

  • they also kill raceing pigeons who i may add make up for more than half this countrys charity donations but hey what the heyy thier only pigeons

  • Crow 1: "Dude....are you SERIOUS?"

Crow 2: "Serious bro. Goshawks can drive cars. The one that got Jim the other day drove right up to us on the side of the road and jumped us. I saw him fly out the window with my own two eyes.

Crow 1: "We are so screwed...."

  • @mrzergmrzergmrzerg That was funny. I'm still laughing my ass off. Keep them coming!! Darren

  • fuck you all, i hobe apocalipse coming soon

  • thats a beautiful goshawk :D

  • Your never going to go hungry .... class skills and a good presented video

  • For those who may have a problem with this, consider how much better this is for the ecosystem than the alternatives. A falcon:

    1) does not introduce poison into the local wildlife, as animals eat poisoned carcasses,

    2) it kills fewer crows, as they leave en masse because of their natural fear of predators,

    3) it is safer and quieter than getting hunters in blind to shoot at the crows.

  • you hae beautiful hawk!

  • Very cool video!!! Your hawk is absolutely lethal looking!! A beautiful raptor for sure!

  • I just love how the hawk clashes with the crow at 1:26

  • Goshawks are very noble raptors :)

  • shit is sick as hell i use a redtail in philly but not even off fist im thinkin on gettin another this but vid has almost made up my mind would take care of all these ratscalled pigions just worried about street sighns

  • Simpleton

  • in saudi they do the same thing , but their big ass eagles take down small deer! :O some people also hunt with cheetas in the same way.. drive on dat bitch ass deer and release da cheeta!

  • Brilliant bird, that is way cool ! I need a goshawk here--we have sooo many damn crows, and they get into EVERYTHING!

  • 1:27 GOSHAWK TRAFFIC STOP

  • do the ravens disturbs you...?

  • The ultimate "SUPPLIES!!!!"

  • Drive by hawking??!

    FOOKING...AWESOME!!!!!!

  • You use a ring perch?

  • Do you have any advice about whether or not I could build a mews in the suburbs, with out next-door neighbors being a bunch of little kids that scream and shout all day?

Should I just wait until I have a house of my own to take up falconry?

  • what is the purpose of killing the crows? what does he do with them? after?

  • @232323C

    Well, the hawk eats them.

  • @KittyRokher yea, figured so........i didnt think he brought it back for the dude to gnaw on....lololol ;O)

  • haha the bird was like...u want a fur coat here have this lolz good video :P

  • Goshawk on crows is a wonderful thing :) That's going to be our main staple this season, right on!

  • he/she's name?

  • Death to Crows, long live the Hunters

  • Allowing a hawk to catch crows and then feeding the crows to the hawk is 100% normal and zero problem. Hawks don't eat Greek salads. Humans have lost touch with the reality of nature.

  • Or even crow hawks;)

  • This was actually quite sportsmanlike (directed at these previous comments by people who know nothing about raptors). In the wild, a goshawk could NEVER outrun or outmaneuver a crow. The element of surprise is absolutely necessary when pitting a gos against these pests. Crows are kicking every other bird species out of the food chain. It's high time more gos falconers trained cow hawks. Very good work.

  • @PrehistoricMeatEater Dropping a Goshawk on top of a crow, from a car window allows for no chance & so no sport is involved, so why not just shoot them! After all, there's no skill involved here!

  • @PrehistoricMeatEater Goshawks don't rely on outrunning their prey at all, they rely on the element of surprise. A good Falconer & his bird would act as a team & through good woodcrafting skills, be able to work their way into a suitable position, to enable the bird to have a go, thus at least giving the prey a sporting chance.

  • now with that comment out of the way i have subd your channel and this video is just absolutly outstanding! and that is a beautiful bird you have

  • I find it annoying that falconry is illegal here in australia.

  • bit like shooting fish in a barrel

  • @Straightsix76 Indeed, this is sad & there is absolutely nothing Noble in this shoddy practice!

In my opinion, it actually shames the Hawk.

How many hundreds of thousands of years of evolution did it take, to produce this perfect avian hunting machine & now this guy just chucks it out a window, on top of its prey!

Why doesn't he just use a Brick? :-(

  • @Ptarmi my thoughts exactly

  • Comment removed

  • goshawks are the avian terminators of the bird world. real highly strung and I would imagine are difficult to train?

  • top notch stuff car hawking is brill with a gos & spar, fuck all the crytics

  • Whats the name of the Song ? PLEAS

Its not Dixie Witch - Shoot the Moon.

Are you braking the neck of the crows ?

  • haha thats awesome man haha, just chuck a bird out of the moving car and its straight into action, otherbirds wouldn't have a clue!

  • so fucking badass i wish i could do that

  • iam in love with these birds..omg

  • Awesome!

  • Comment removed

  • @Ptarmi if a goshawk is ok with it,whats your problem?? :)

  • @Ptarmi what in the world are you talking about????!!!!??? how is this unsportman like? your comparing population control of wolves to someone taking the time and dedication to hunt with a bird of prey.... using a man made tool to hunt and harvest an animal is one way to hunt, falconry, or using hawks to hunt is just as old a form of hunting as any other since the creation of mans tools to hunt, be it clubs, spears, then to bows and guns, your entitled to your oppinion its just stupid

  • @Ptarmi man, its just pest control, whats the deal? can't really go wrong with killing a few crows, and plus, goshawk's are beautiful, watch them in action!

  • @TriggerHappyThomas If this is just Pest Control, then there are far more effective ways of getting rid of a few Crows.

Anyone who doesn't understand the difference, shouldn't be involved in Falconry!

  • @Ptarmi This is a much better solution than using strychnine-tainted bait on an entire murder of crows, which would poison many small animals for miles around. The falcon is fast, quiet, and environmentally friendly.

  • @salvagebar It's the difference between a man going out with his Dog & Gun hunting hedgerows for a day & bringing back some game for his larder & some knob head standing at a peg having a few thousand Pheasants chased through a wood at him. At the very least, it's just plain LAZY!

  • @salvagebar Please note 1st: a Goshawk is not a Falcon, it is a Hawk. 2nd: I have absolutely no problem with Falconry, in fact I was a full time Falconer for a while & have flown many different birds. However, as with most things in life, there is often a right way & a wrong way to go about things & this method I dislike.

  • @Ptarmi birds of prey dont run to catch their prey so i dont know why there would be anything wrong with his legs?

  • @Ptarmi yor a sore loser and yor jealous

  • @Ptarmi Excuse me, mister expert, but 1; this happens in nature to, that hawks catch, kill and eat other birds and animals. 2; This type of hunting is don for centuries, becaus they saw it, that hawks are hunters. And with no rifles than, they used this. And 3; Crows can cause lots of problems, as they also kill every small, young birds and other young animals, and there are way more crows than hawks, so the problem can become huge! This is just a copy of nature. Thats all, nothing shocking.

  • @periesicsd If you are going to comment on what I write, please read my posts first! @1 & 2; As I have already pointed out, I am a former Falconer & I have no problem with Falconry per se, just that I don't approve of the methods used here. @3 Check the video again! As these birds are in a flock & feeding on a stubble field, they are more likely to be Rooks, rather than Crows, which of course do NOT eat birds & animals! .... Falconry is not shocking ... just the methods used here!

  • @Ptarmi maybe that is your point of view. No everybody has the same principles.

  • VID'S LOOKS BETTER WITH NO MUSIC!!!!!

  • Ever eat crow? A nice red meat medallion from the chest area

  • how much can i get one for??

  • Moy boina

  • You should falconry in Pennsylvania,,Great for PA Falconry Birds Lovers.,So the population keep growing,,,The birds will be much more healthier...on the wild they just last 10 years,,,If you falconry they will last 30 years...its a shame...***The Human Ignorance ***..these birds never get domesticated,,,they stay wild,,,they just get tamed..if you decide to let them go they will survive....you just helping them,,THINK BIG PA.~~~~~

  • this is so fucking awesome

  • The goshawk, the Coopers and the peregrine are the crow's most effective and deadliest enemies. The other hawks like the red tail isn't as effective-it isn't an accipiter or a falcon. I dunno about the pigeon hawk-it is big enough how ever.

  • kick ass

  • SWEET!

  • whats the best raptor for killing gulls?

  • how to you i guess to say "train" the goshawk to not fly away after the kill. and where do you get a goshawk in the first place.

  • @slappy2156 you raise them from a baby, hand feeding them. birds imprint so it loves its master. just like how our kids dont run away from us

  • dude that is fukin sweet how do u get a goshawk for a a pet, and how do you train it and raise it?

  • I have never seen one of these crazy birds over in England !!!

  • So do the crows serve as food for the hawk after the fact?

  • That's funny!

  • nice! bad ass bird. I have seen them in action nail big seagulls near the coast right off the glove walking

  • crows don't normally fight with goshawks...not without a huge number to back them up and unless the goshawk is "fleeing" the scene.

  • Hunting crows just for killing is not cool. You need to allow your hawk to eat its meals. Your a bad hunter.

  • @Bokkapooh He saves them for the moult so the bird doesnt starve.

  • hahahah ur a genius

  • that's such a beatiful bird;)

  • I LOVE IT

  • ever hit one of those posts at 40 mph?

  • so what ever happened to the saying eat crow? your hawk likes them,????? i thought there was no market for crow pest control

  • thats bad luck for killing crows or eating it, owls also

  • I like it!

  • so many crows in Seattle, so few birds of prey...

  • very cool stuff, beautiful bird.

  • man.. what's so funny about killing crows? they are freakin' everywhere! R u gonna eat those? creepy.

  • thats crazy man .....

  • I was once attacked by a wild goshawk, but you have to admit, they're gorgeous birds.

  • at 1:11 it's.........DEMON BIRD!!!!! lol nice

  • Crow stew tonight bro.

  • Crows are abundant (and sometimes overly-abundant) so what is wrong with hunting them? They are beautiful, intelligent creatures but so are mountain lions, wolves, and elk. I am pulling an eyass goshawk from a nest this summer and can't wait to rookhawk as well as pheasant and ducks. Right on!

  • so you found your encylopedia good for you, i know what a crow is thanx...i think you watched that movie the crow and became obsessed, the crow is not a magical bird.

  • Incredible vid. Beautiful Hawk!

  • Crows are very beneficial and especially for clearing up carrion hence the name. It is wrong of us to go around calling them pests when we do far worse than they do.

  • the reason they are called pests is because they spread disease from landfill and other places and cause alot of damage to crops and new born lambs even pecking and eating there eyes. it is true they help clear up carrion but the damage they do dosnt measure up to the good they do.

  • ha ha the fallacy of the crow pecking the eyes of a healthy lamb !. anything to excuse poor husbandry. its a fact ewes protect their lambs, from foxes and the like. ones that dont will soon have a dead lamb from exposure anyway. but its dead meat anyway soon, so does it matter.

demonization of the wild nasty predator has always been the justification of blood sports. the hunter, farmer and ignorant game keeper, if left unregulated, will remove every predator as they have done in the past.

  • Have hawked Jacks with a harris from cars-it's a blast-good clip!

  • reckless 'falconry' from cars will get it all banned. falconry is a noble and ancient field craft involving patience, love of nature and admiration of both the hunter and hunted. not oiks mindlessly lobbing a bird out of the window of a car at another unsuspecting bird that thinks cars are completely innocuous and so isnt even given a sporting chance to escape

  • I never got a chance to do that myself, but where I come from, people would use hawks to hunt crows. I guess thats one reason we call Iowa the hawkeye state.

  • i wish i had one!!! i'd go crow hunting for sure!!! clean up my town a bit

  • dinner is ready

  • thats one bad ass bird man. lol look some crows, let me toss my Goshawk out the window. awesome

  • I which i could get one of these.

  • What a magnificent bird of prey, thanks for sharing.

  • Great tash man. But why so serious?

  • Cool!

  • awesome bird

  • Wow, what a beautiful bird. You're a lucky man. I can't afford to take up this wonderful art.

  • Puts the words "going out to feed my pet" to a new level.

  • badass bird man ;D

  • Great vid mate! What a gorgeous bird also!

  • All of the dead birds laid out on display( with one exception, are Rooks, not crows. The beaks are not the right shape and as i said Crows dont flock, they may gather in numbers on a carcass. that is not flocking.

  • they are indeed rooks, which are a species of crow. so the titles right in a way young crows can form 'bachelor flocks', before finding a territory. not the usual, as you say.

i love hawks but dont like falconry (unless its to a lure). crows are far too intelligent and cool to kill for any reason. cant see how you can like birds enough to keep them but kill other ones for fun - the mind set is an odd contradiction.

  • @andy765gtr o kyou should come to my home town they are the size of like small eagles... no joke and they are just pests (crows) and over run garbage cans, parking lots...they are worse then vultures! worse then seagulls! i dont understand how you can think that they are beautiful and they are not intelligent, not here anyways so i think u best re-think that

  • so 'pests' cos they go on rubbish and eat...rubbish. tell you what, when they go around destroying rainforests, pollute the air and alter the climate, and cause a mass extinction of life, you might have a point. otherwise get things in perspective.

and no crow is as big as an eagle, even a raven. why is size even an issue. or do you just kill everything thats as 'big as an eagle'. talk about a spurious justification

look up crow intelligence. corvids are considered as intelligent as monkeys.
