  • The car at 0:43 is a D-Type Triplex. They were in service from February 1925 to July of 1967, primarily on the Brighton- ("B") and Sea Beach ("N") lines.

  • Great slide show. I mentioned those cars because I rode them when I was a kid. The Dyre AV line was called the Dinky, with two cars running from 180th ST to Dyre AV before the Dyre AV flyover was built. Used Hi V, Lo V and a type with open platforms.

  • These are great, but where are all the Lo V and Hi V cars?

  • @rjmins There is only one Hi V deck roof car and one Gibbs Hi V car in existence and those are in Connecticut and Maine. All the others were scrapped long ago. The Lo V cars should definitely have been included.
