  • That pilot deserves a medal

  • i want to stick my little cousin in there lol

    he'd agree :]

  • YEAAA, ONLY in "Amerika", the land of the free are things "Illegal"

  • I love R/C but I don't get it when people build this big. I can go to my local airport an cruise around in a Cessna for an hour for less than $200.

  • There is no legal limit to the size of RC plane you can fly in the US and you don't need AMA waivers to fly on a non club field. You can build a 150% model and fly it on your own property if you want.

  • You really should do a real documentary of it without the sockermommusick!

  • Dude you might as well build full size plane and fly in it :D

  • That is next level RC plane!!!!!!!!!!

  • I see it fly, now I want to see it perform.

  • The us is freaking dumb... Too bad I live there

  • @ddemko100 if you dont like it here leave

  • Where is Elie? The Snap?

  • its not that its illegal to fly in the us. Its a pain in the ass to get the licensing for it in the us. From what i remember from AMA is that they would concider it a personal aircraft after a marked weight. Thus needing to have a call sign for it and registered with the FAA. But than again i could be wrong.

  • lol for 10k you could buy a real plane

  • @JJJPPP888 Please show me a working person carrying aircraft for 10,000 dollars.

  • @japago100 Ever heard of a home built?

  • @JJJPPP888 what are you smoking

  • @greensp4rk Haha yeah homebuilts

  • SO WHERE DOES IT FLY?

  • its so heavy it left indentations in the grass hehehehe....kewl....

  • I wanna go in it.

  • a small child could fly inside that ( LIKE A 5YEAR OLD)

  • ...why's the twin cost 10 grand? That's just silly!

  • Needs 70% power as well...

  • i could fit in that

  • that kind of money why wouldn't you build an RV and fly it for real.

  • When I landed I heard a redneck scream

  • 10,000 bucks just for the engine?

Man, if you crash it you will live to face the embarrassment.

Crash a real one and survive and no one makes fun of you...you're the man!

  • One is forced to wonder why somebody would build something of this size and not go a little bigger -- so as to build the real thing? I'd rather fly *in* it than from the ground, even with FPV and full instrumentation.

  • $10,000 just for the engine?

Man, if you crash it you will live to face the embarrassment.

Crash a real one and survive and no one makes fun of you...you're the man!

  • how big?

  • So. Can it hover?

  • you can fly this in the us but you have to use a airport like LA X my dad and i saw it at a rc show and it took 4 or 5 guys to hold it from movin

  • @12345deadmanwalking It's the size and weight that restrict it from flying in the United States. Runway space is not an issue, and because it's a model it cannot interfere with full scale aircraft carrying live passengers.

  • A large two blade prop would give more thrust.

  • you could have made a real airplane (minus the controls, radar, etc.) for almost the same amount of money!

  • It uses a .15 OS, a 100cc fuel tank, micro servos and hinge tape for the surfaces!

  • @Nilguiri I don't think evilelfindustries understands the word "shite". To be honest, the idiocy was apparent from the start given that the first line was patriotic nonsense all in caps.

  • bigger is better lol.

  • Can we sit on it???

  • Go electric!

  • FLY FPV!

  • You are all wrong. This is NOT a 70% RC plane, this is a regular plane; just kid-size.

  • What is the point of that crappy music? I want to listen to the plane, not that generic American shite music.

  • @Nilguiri DONT DISS AMERICA.

    and learn how to spell.

  • @evilelfindustries

Learn how to spell? What are you talking about?

  • @Nilguiri DONT DISS AMERICA!!!!

    and learn how to spell.

(but yes the music is a little cheesy)

  • after u make it that big wtf is a the point send your dog up in it and if hes ok then you go next.

  • Nice work but at this point you might as well get a real plane.

  • @TheDaveyht3 i think youre missing the point

  • damn that thing's huge. Could you ride on it?

  • @grimmduder probably, but it would be cramped!

  • JARED SISK!!!!! i can't believe i know him!!

  • how many cc's does it take to run that thing??? lol

  • Why do you INSIST on burying the sound of the airplane with the constant crap music noise?????? I notice this on alot of Yuotube videos. IS someone paying you to do this? Otherwise WHY?

example: Next time you're watching porn - why not bury the sound with audio-clips of the Honeymooners the whole GD time. See?

Why don't you try re-posting the video without the GD music noise?? I want to hear the airplane!

  • you could put this in an airhsow and people wouldne even know its an RC airplane

  • Comment removed

  • this was the best i have seen , so far . nice job .

  • Sees like it really could use a little more power...

  • Where can you find this type of music?

  • you may aswell be sat in it piloting :L

  • Big plane, small penis.

  • man 10k could of pulled a family out of debt but still cool plain.

  • @n8tivguitar whatever commie.

  • @natn0 whatever union busting nazi.

  • @n8tivguitar what you just said doesn't make any sense. and why should they not be able to enjoy the fruits of their labor?

  • @natn0 doesn't make sense because your not in reality..ill fill you in the Republican party aka the nazis are destroying the middle class and the only wall we have left against there aggression.. the unions. watch some fucking news. we destroyed the fascist in 45 and the c☭mmunity aka the working man will do it again..sry about political argument on your video 1001blogs

  • @n8tivguitar your comparison of nazis and the "republicans," which in this context you really mean capitalists, is totally erroneous. do you really think the prosperity of the nazi party and the third reich would have been possible without "the working man?" nazi means national socialist btw. your arguments are contradictive.

  • @natn0 im not wrong they do it the same way.. propaganda/fox news is a very powerful weapon like you fighting for them and something tells me your not party of the 2% who gain from there actions are else you wouldn't be on you tube you would be sailing or wine testing,2month vacation..out of the ten biggest contributors to politicians seven are for republicans only 3 for democrats and those 3 are unions now they busting them. nazi shit.."first they came" google it. you paid more in taxes then GE

  • @n8tivguitar fox news is only powerful because the public (i.e. americans, no offence) is stupid enough to believe it. also it seems you're taking for granted that I myself is american. I live in a country where 98% of the people are democrats with a socialist government, the difference is that our people have an inherent attitude that value hard work. if you work hard you get where you want, and if you don't you still don't get kicked out on the streets. and health care is free.

  • @natn0 i'm sorry i did think you was american because in america if you stand for the poor man/middle class your called a commie. i commend your government and people. america needs to invade its self and set up a democracy nowa days.

  • shit man, you coulda just built a plane to fly in .. damn, id beef it up to where it can handl a 150 pound pilot, and fly the damn thing!!

  • i guess you can smuggle beaners into the states.........lol

  • someone with wayyy to much money and time on his hands

  • That is Awesome, nice build and great flight. good job

  • It's cool in one way but also it's too much.

  • I don't wanna be a party pooper. I definitely love the vid, along with the creativity and airmanship of the pilot. But I can't say I would want to do a similar project. To me, I might as well build an ultralight if I am going to be using those kids of resources to build a plane.

Although I wonder if this plane could be used for aerotowing small gliders. There is a video here on youtube where someone uses an rc airplane to aerotow a hang glider. This plane seems to be even more powerful.

  • Why not do a little more, get it FAA rated and fly it as a homebuilt?

  • @warmfreeze

HA! You're full of it dude.

80% isn't much smaller than 82% scale, and that's the size of a full scale P-51.

    Search for "corsair82" on google.

It uses a 450hp radial, not a Wankel rotary.

I would estimate the cost is at least $250K with free labor to build something that size.

Nobody builds an airworthy quarter million dollar corsair capable of carrying a human pilot at 300mph and then turn it into an RC plane.

I love RC flying, but I'd rather fly the thing myself at that point.

  • what motor?

  • When i get adult, i will get my kids to school via that plane. While siting in my couch with an FPV and driving that shit.

  • you have too much time on your hands

  • I LOVE THIS ..! awsome, i swored to my flying friend that one day we will get us a full scale plane and rebuild as an RC plane, but this is as close at it gets.

Great Job and great flying, was it a bit shaky in your legs on this first maiden?

  • very cool but...... at that big ya might as well build the real thing?? 10 grand for the motor!!! holy shit. but like i said the thing is very cool..

  • I agree with Allen, climb aboard and enjoy the ride

  • You should try flying it over Moscow.

  • Awesome. What was the flying weight and HP?

  • i guess yoy could hold the radio rather than the joy stick

  • Does it use CA hinges? :)

  • lol ill get in it and u fly me around lol

  • this is a great project, but i why with all the coments about it,for some people they cannot fly themselves either for health or money reasons so they do this and build amazing planes the size they want, great plane guy's

  • You created your very own predator drone.

  • @mastershake9801 not a drone

  • i could sit in there

  • Isn't that engine a 100 hp Hirth????

  • HUGE prop ftw!!!

and ya dun need an small cam for this, tape on a professional cam, it could handle it lol

  • Very Noice!!

    BUUUT!

Please replace divots on that nice field @ 3.51 on the video starboard wheel!!!

Can't say I disagree with the earlier comments though as I fly and love rc models as well! :)

  • Is this Al flying this?

  • Where can I buy such a RC plane XD

  • these ppl ask why, i say why not with a tim allen home improvement grunt! id love to know more details on the built coz there is so much more involved when you go this big, just to cool

  • waste of time. make a real plane.

  • aaah finaly I found the video I have been looking for the video of the pic I found ont he web since I was young damn it

  • I built a 73% scale plane and flew it in the USA, now I am in prison, I was sentenced to 50 years hard labor : (

  • @eqtworld Dun Bullshit.

  • @eqtworld lol your funny

  • @eqtworld LAWL WHY is that ?

  • America.Brilliant country, loads of room to do all sorts of interesting stuff and some WANKER putting stupid laws on everything stopping you doing it.Bit like the UK.Its like having a hard on in a monastry.

  • why does the engine cost $10k? sounds like a rip-off...

  • @madmitch105 They have to make the engine dumbass

  • @WeinerDogcreations sorry i don't have extensive knowledge of over priced r/c toys like you must.... weiner....

  • If I had that kinda cash, I would build a 100% scale and sit in the cockpit with my radio control. Freak yeah!

  • I believe you can build 100% plane to fly))) awesome!!!!

  • it's funny to see the prop stop spinning when the plane's about to land...

  • Wonderful achievment!! This isn't directed at you personally, but why do most R/C video presenters feel as if an annoying soundtrack enhances what they've done. I can assure you, I love music as much or more than the next guy, but how about giving me the option of listening to the pure sound of the flight. My .02 worth.

  • I might report u! Lol! I luv dat plane

  • you could put a midget or a kid in there :D

  • why do u need a rc plane on this scale of a size

  • @hollymint ..........for the fun of it!!!!

  • Cool plane, but seems very underpowered. At 70% scale, you start having a need for a 70% engine, which I can imagine is hard to find. As far as RC engines go, a large Moki radial could probably do it better justice.

  • Why not go the next 30% and fly inside it!

  • if its not legal in the us where did you fly it? Have you ever flown it on fpv? also do you wreckon you could fit sum one in it and use it as a normal plane when u feel like it! awsome plane and gr8 vid

  • I have seen manned planes smaller than this!!!!!!!

  • why not just build a real one

  • i no right

  • should put the kid at :13 in the plane hahahahahahahahaha

  • Looks like it wont do a loop or freestyle or IMAC I don't like it boooooo

  • Awesome plane

  • why is it illegal to fly in us ? i have a friend that has an 80% F4-U and he flys it all the time at the local field here in FL.. his plane has a custom wankle rotory on it. really neet plane. he used to have a video of it on youtube someware.

  • very big thing, but not as fast i thought...

  • Nice plane. Is it me or does it seem a little underpowered (Maybe engine running in i duno) Would love to see a nitro kit maybe added. All same insurance company if any must crap themselves when it takes off.

  • That plane is amazing

  • Dude I would love to see you make a real plane!

  • what is the point of making a RC Airplane that size, unless you are using it for movie stunts. :P

  • @SuperCubLP Oh that is an easy question to answer. "To just do it." Nothing in this hobby has to make sense. It is whatever satisfies you. You design it, built it, fly it.

If he would have went the other way around and built a palm size rc plane. The same reason applies. ;-)

  • @SuperCubLP cause they are americans

  • @SuperCubLP just stick your baby in the cockpit and fly him/her around LOL

  • @SuperCubLP Doing something only a few people managed to do before you. ;)

  • @SuperCubLP make that your self and you will feel that feeling dude

  • @MrVidManiacMilo man you are crazy lol.

  • @SuperCubLP i guess it's called hobby

  • @SuperCubLP to show off and have a better and bigger plane than anyone else for bragging rights

  • @SuperCubLP smuggling dope?

  • @SuperCubLP BECAUSE HE CAN!!!

  • @SuperCubLP ITS call show off lol, thatz the only way i could describe... first you can't really fly anywhere that can be safe, second you can't do any 3d, 3rd it cost a fortune to build one and fourth everyone hate you when ever you fly your model, coz no one want to mid air with you... fuk.... yeap i'm totally agreed with you, whats the freaken point...

  • @SuperCubLP BECAUSE IT MAKES A COOL YOU TUBE VIDEO. HEY YOU COULD USE IT TO SMUGGLE DRUGS ACROSS THE BORDER. LOL

  • what a waste of time and effort.

  • I know a lot of people would disagree but I'm with you on that one, when you get to building 'models' that size, you might as well invest the same dollar and build a manned aircraft.

  • my point exactly. thank you.

  • The guy at the end is a total fucking dork!!!!

  • What was the total amount of money spent on that plane. great vid and amazing plane never seen one that big.

  • WOW, Now thats a GIANT RC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • congratulations.

you did not destroy a giant flying check for 20,000 dollars.

  • dude, thats like the size of a micro light, hollow it out, set up some controls and go flying

  • I use to have a staudacker but sold it. sucks. shoul of kept it.

  • There is no law in the US that limits the size of an RC model. That's balogney. There are documented full sized general aviation aircraft that have dual human and RC controls in the US. Seen a 100% RC J-3 Cub demo with my own eyes in the late 80's.

  • There is. According to the AMA, without their explict consent, models cannot be bigger than 80inchs or weigh more than 55lbs dry.

  • The AMA is a private organization with zero civil or legal authority. It's their club rules, not a law. Although the AMA would lead you to believe otherwise, an individual does not have to belong to the AMA to operate a model in the US. The AMA can only control the club fields insured by their underwriters.

  • Incorrect, there are FAA regulations regarding aircraft of that size. The AMA is just the organization that acts on those regulations.

  • @annihil8ted - I've never heard of the 80 inch limitation. Nearly all of my RC arcraft are over 80 inches in wing span. Are you refering to fuselage length?

I know you have to have an FAA waiver for anything over 55 lbs (requires airworthiness inspection by FAA and a special cert).

If you follow the FAA guidelines it is certainly not illegal.

  • Rules may be different now? After 9/11 everything changed about air craft...

  • The only law on the books I can find in my 2008 copy of Federal Aviation Regulations is that turbine powered fixed wing model aircraft are prohibited in 'populated areas'.

  • y dont u put a kid in side of it lol

  • Lease it to Holiwood, sure wish I could see it!

  • I want to see someone parachute the family Beagle out of one of these... Make an interesting video!!

  • Amazing project, great job. But I have to wonder why stop at 70%?, just a little bigger and you can throw the radio out and get in and fly it yourself. Once you've gone this big, why not go all the way?

  • lol, so true

  • because the price of the engine, grows almost exponencially... every 7%more and the price doubles.

  • It would degrade it from a very large unique rc plane to just a plane.

  • or you could leave the radio in and fly with it while your in the plane

  • @AllenRockwell Probably has something to do with crashing and death.
