When I was 18 I was stationed on Governor's Island at the tip of Manhattan. I regaulary made trips into the city and found the people to be friendly, helpful and talkative. That was in 1975 and Times Square was a pit. I returned in 2002 and couldn't believe how much it had been cleaned up since 1975. The people were the same, talkative, friendly and a zillions things going on anywhere you went. It's really a great place in my opinion.

"I can gather all the news I need from the weather report." Instead of getting caught up in the darkness of the news he plans on going outside and enjoying life. "Tom" is no longer there to "live" along side paul. Now he feels he's the only one.

I was seven (now, 30) and that was the beginning of my heart's love for this duo. This song is very special to me.
