dude if this is a joke, then how come they've been called one of the best viking metal bands around? yes Tyr and them are good, but Amon Amarth is just as good. they didn't fuck this style up. they are making more people like this music. because of them i started listening to bands like Tyr, Ensiferum, Runic, etc.

See I've always seen viking metal not as a genre itself but as a theme in a certain genre. This guys are melodic death metal but have viking themes. The general sound is really very similar to other melodeath bands just the only difference is they use viking culture as a theme for their music.
