  • Was I the only one that got confused when he said "Exposure"? Great video btw.

  • the link that you posted for the frames from amazon are like 23 for a frame now... do you know anywhere to get them cheaper?

  • @morg5975 that should be about right actually. The last batch I got was from Adorama and I think they may be a little cheaper there but I'm not sure

  • Great Work You can also check shutterfly.

  • Did you take the first photo in the video yourself? The one where the shadow on the book forms a heart? I ask because I have seen it before on a poster in one of my teachers class rooms.

  • @coall08 Yep. Do you remember if it was the exact picture, or a different picture with the same idea? The idea has been done before by many people

  • @PhotoExtremist TBH, I am not sure if it was the exact same or not, but if it was not then it was very similar. I would check to find out but I no longer go that school

  • Sorry, that last comment was me too D: boyfriend was signed in on my phones YouTube. Anyway. Please reply to the question on this comment so I'll get an email notification c:

  • @HeatherBroski Just curious. When you say to ask restaurants to hang your photos do you sell photos to them or what? ---> I actually haven't done it yet but I am going within the next few weeks. I plan on having them hang them in their shop for free, and then they will give me a cut if one sells.

  • @PhotoExtremist Oh! Alright. I think I'll probably try something like that in my area if I could. Small towns don't get many new businesses.

  • Just curious. When you say to ask restaurants to hang your photos do you sell photos to them or what?

Also, this video was very helpful and your other videos are really getting me pumped to take more photos :3

  • I have prices and stuff o this youtube account, where i sell commisions and stuff. But im just wondering... how can i transact it ?

I know theres paypal and everything... but i have no clue how it works Haha

  • Have you ever thought about opening an ETSY shop for your artwork?

  • @umphalump I will probably do that soon to test the waters, donno what the potential is for that though.

  • YOU ROCK MEN !!! I LOVE YOUR PHOTOS !!!!!

  • @paorob

    I count only one MAN....

  • XD My art teacher isn't a ''she'' 0:30

  • @gimkilo57 Lol I know, but mine was, so I just said that

  • A good thing I did that got me major exposure was going to my local newspaper and asking for an internship and it turned into more than that. Also, awesome video and cool tips. !!

  • Really nice video! Awesome to hear "your story".

    Btw do you have flickr?

  • @johanneswingerlang yes, it is flickr dot com / photos / thevlue

  • Awesome video. I just wrecked my jeep and bills are piling up. Was trying to figure out HOW people sell their work to make some extra money . Thanks so much for all these videos you just might have saved my ass.

  • great tips dude, i've gotta check out those MCS frames, because $2 a pop isn't bad (before shipping at least)

  • Super helpful, as usual. :-)

  • Good vid. You can go to "events" like kids sports, take a bunch of pics of one nubber player, the move to the next, etc. Then give your business card to all the parents and a lot of the time they will buy. I have done this just one time and 5 parents purchased pictures. Yoiu can set up an account on something like photostockplus and let then view them ands order there or just from you.. It works. Just a matter of how much you want to hang out at kids sports games.

  • great info...question, is it cheaper to order prints as you said rather then print them youserlf? also, when you do order them what kind of paper do they get printed on? i would think the paper quality makes a difference when sold no? keep up the amazing work :D

  • @MrMexicanZombie I haven't calculated the cost of printing them out yourself vs. the cost of ordering them, but you are probably right, in the long run I bet it would be a lot cheaper to print them yourself. I don't think the type of paper matters if you are selling the artwork to average people (ie. not high-end art collectors), as long as it is photo quality paper (the shiny reflective kind or the "matte" kind are good)
