I got confused because this competition isn't very clear AT ALL. You can't just force someone to sing a song that doesn't even fit their voice well and that they aren't comfortable singing in the first place.

How is that supposed to help anything? Pointing out someone's flaws and only their flaws IS NOT going to help them grow as an artist.

I'm dropping out. I really believe (and so does my mom) that the judges aren't judging properly or fairly. For one, this entire competition is a bit unclear on everything that's going on. This is probably all supposed to be constructive criticism, right? I'd say it's more like rude remarks from the judges. Saying I put 'no effort' into a song that I didn't even know well and took A LOT of time and actually A LOT of effort isn't going to help anything. This whole thing is very unprofessional.

@xAbandonAllCats Your reaction is what is unprofessional. We can only judge what we see - we are not watching you 24 hours a day to see the time you put into it. We've had hundreds of contestants over the seasons, many younger than yourself, who have been able to learn new songs in a week and deliver killer performances (and follow the rules without a problem). You have a lot of growth to do if you want to make it in the music business. Blaming others for your shortcomings doesn't help you.

@xAbandonAllCats Hello Alexia, as a contestent I have been here for 9 seasons and usually in this contest the song choices are usually choosen for you by the list in the discription box the song choices left are chris brown, bob marley, and a bunch more in the discription box. @xAbandonAllCats always read the description box for info on song choices. For this round you must choose from the given list. There are only a few songs left to pick from, so you should do that quickly.
If other judges want to give ratings that's fine, but I'm not going to do that. We have singers at all different levels, and I want to give everyone advice that will help them grow. So if an expert singer has a near perfect song, I may give them lots of critique to push them to the next level; for a more beginning singer that does well FOR THEM, I may highly compliment them to encourage them. But the ratings could negate all that if the good one gets 9/10 and the other 3/10, for example.
As much as it kills me right now and I dont want to go like this, Im gonna have to drop out. Im typing this with a massive headache and tears streaming down my face , I thought this would be the year where I could actually go far. I dont want to go out because of technical issues so Im gonna try my best within this week to get a camera even with financial troubles. I want to end on a positive note and I want to wish the best of luck to all of the contestants. Its going to be a fantastic season

Wait so I don't understand how it says there's only 9 contestants eligible to post for round 1, but yet there's a bunch of other contestants asking for song approvals? I'm so confused.
Unfortunately, TheGeorgelizos can not compete in the competition. He is from the UK. We only allow USA and Canadian residents to enter due to the time zone difference. If you make the TOP 10 you will need to be able to call into the radio show. In the past this caused a problem for any one that was from any where but USA or Canada. We wish him the best of luck though in all his musical endeavers!

It's not her choice at all, just there will be no other adult in the house for the next 2 weeks who knows how to coach her and record the vids and upload them to her account and though she can make videos on her own for just messing around. for the competition she's not well versed enough to do it properly. Even though I personally will not be home for two weeks though, I will still be able to judge and all my judge responsiblities will not be affected by this! <3
