@RomanianCynical Sorry I am an American with only low level skills speaking or writing Romanian laguage.

I live in Chisinau Moldova in the summer to operate my tousim business bringing Americans on tour to Moldova and into Romania .

All my emlpoyees are Romanian's in Moldova and when I am in Romania .

Romanian's are a Big A-1 great people, I am sometime speechless to discribe how great the Romanian's I know are so good kind people !!!

@emenadi Conform DEX, mercenar=persoana angajata cu leafa intr-o armata straina; persoana care, pentru bani, se pune in serviciul oricui, luptand pentru interese do orice natura. Militarii romani din teatrele de operatii sunt acolo in calitate de membri ai Armatei Romane, nu in serviciul oricui si pentru interese bine stabilite. Faptul ca merg acolo pentru un salariu mai bun nu ii face mercenari.

@emenadi Cu vorbe goale nu o scoatem la capat. Daca vrei sa intelegi ceva din treaba asta, intra in Armata, mergi 6 luni in Afghanistan si dupa aceea mai vorbim. Eu stiu foarte bine despre ce vorbesc.

No, the rifles are good, the Terrorits can see what weapons have and if they see Kalasnikov they dont attak the Romanian Soldiers.

Their equipments seem to be up to date, but their rifles aren't. they should update those.

Yeah... although the rifles and machineguns they are using are new , the models are all based on old soviet designs ( ak 74 and PKM ) , not to mention that 80% of the APC's should be in the Cold War museum by now ... At least the SF are well equipped

@countersniperssr I know . I was talking about non SF units . It's a shame, they don't even have combat optics on their rifles and machineguns .

true man, romanian army has about everything they need in terms of equipments... almost everything from americans, but also some things from germans, swiss and russians... bad thing i really diasagree is that they still use that old rifle... anyway, they are updating the standars to H&K... so is a great choice!

@tubbyboy1985 except for the Ak that is our production, Romanian Ak! a 5.45 mm caliber, similar to the Serbian Ak. The rest of the infantry equipment is Made in Usa [also except for some grenades].

Aviation and Navy are russians too. Right now we import some american F16. Also Heavy Armored Vehicles are russians and i think here is a good chioce.

well,I think they hold a litle better than american humvee,but the old apc's don't have armored chassis...in this case when you pass over a I.ED. is "ugly"
