Alternative proposal for NATO/EU/US euro missile defence:

Build EW radar in Germany, Italy, UK. US could command UK's site, NATO command Germany's and EU command Italy's. All could tie into US missile defence structure. These could be outside of CZE deal.

Instead of Interceptors in Pol, SM-3 could be leased to NATO navies employing AEGIS ships.

Also, SM-3 could be land based (instead of GBI) at vital NATO bases, layered with THAAD and MEADS to be operated by EU/NATO forces.
