Big thanks to whoever uploaded this. I'm a big fan of a-ha and this is the first time I've come across this just when I thought I'd seen everything and that was the end. So this comes as a lovely surprise and it's such a great in depth interview which what makes it a real gem. Thanks :-))
It was so great to (finally!) hear such in insightful interview, and especially to have someone like Jian Ghomeshi frame questions in such a way that respected the intelligence of a-ha. It was a thrill to have my favourite band on the CBC!
Thanks to Q and Gomeshi for doing justice to the band's intelligence & musical credibility. Morten Harket has been said to lean toward the cryptic in his interviews over the years, and you can see a little of that here, but I've always enjoyed his insights and eloquence. Magne is also highly articulate, often the more cogent and judicious of the group in interviews. Great of Gomeshi to elicit more from Pal.
A-ha is hugely underrated in N America. Deep sorrow not to see them in Vanc, BC.
hi Canadians.... so glad for you that the guys Listened and headed north to ya! I am a fan in Asia with no chance to see my fave band live and can only wave goodbye to them from afar :'( I hope you all have the Best time with Morten Mags and Paul... long may they reign in our hearts and minds... cheers!
Thanks for sharing. Yes. Great interview with the great Norwegian guys and great to hear they soundto having fun there.
Yes. I have heard this great interview before. And as Paul say - How much Morten can we take. Yes. My answer, reply is -Yes. A lot, very much, veldig mye Morten. That is for sure. Yes. As always.
I agree, ijor808; Especially when you compare this to, say, the Loose Women interview (STILL cringing). My hat's off to Jian. He did a great job! Leave it to the Canadians to show us how it ought to be done.
Great stuff. An extremely thought provoking trio - very difficult to interview, but immensley interesting as a result. Best Live band ever, Best band ever, their music will live forever. Though there's never a forever thing........................
@stayontheseroads This is really a great interview! a-ha is the best band of the world and they live forever in our hearts and I hope so much, that we hear more about this fantastic group in the future? Perhaps with solo projects? Morten has very brilliant solo albums and his got a voice like an angel and a beautiful smile.. By the way: Stay on these roads is one of my favourites songs of a-ha!! a-ha forever!!
Great interview. Thank you so much for making it available here on yt for all non-Canadian fans. !! Very much appreciated. Many greetings from the very bittersweet German leg of their Farewell Tour.
I was into a-ha back in 1987-90 and then lost interest. It was only by 2005 that I got into them again have an appreciation for their work. Sad to see them split up.
