The crash was different in the film "Alive".... the film was mirrored (left was right) and the plane hit a second peak after the first which caused the plane to lose its other wing.

Actually, that's not that accurate if you read the accounts from the survivors. They indicated that the tail broke off seperately from the wings, and that the port (left) wing broke off during a seperate impact with another part of the moauntain.
Very well done, thats probably more accurate then the movie Alive. I have always wondered how the tail ended up where it did, this video helps to explain that. Too bad he doesnt cover more of the slide down until it stops.
@coolbreeze922 No actually as far as placement of how the plane crash this representation is actually very accurate. Alive had it where the plane went over one ridge and the tail and right wing came off and then hit a second ridge and the left ridge snapped off.
In reality, it was when the body of the plane hit the mountain and began sliding down did the right wing snap off leaving the rest of the plane to go down the mountain.
