Zoovisitormm, I have viewed a couple of your videos of this alligator snapping turtle and noticed the comments. I just wanted to say that as far as I can see it IS an alligator snapping turtle. I have been working as a keeper in zoos of 25 years, and now work at a nature center in IL. I am the animal care supervisor there and we also have an alligator snapping turtle that is approx. 140 years old. by the way I did work at Philly zoo for 9 years back in the 70's. Its a great zoo.
@pattik1 Thank you for your input! And I surely must have seen you at the Zoo because I first became a member in 1969 and have visited the Zoo at least twice a month (usually once or twice a week) ever since then!
Wth i hate it when the discription reads alligator snapper and its just a common snapper.. I like common snapppers but still.

@LTR I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean the alligator snapping turtle looks odd, or his floating around looks odd?
In this video, he was relaxing after eating - I guess getting ready for a nap.
