They were perfect together. And honestly, he was really good to Blair once he let her in. It was the writers that pulled this shit. Most likely because they thought there needed to be some more drama in the show. Can't there just be one couple on GG that doesn't shift amongst each other?

@x3BabyQx3 Jack took the Empire away from Chuck & said that the only way for him to get it back was to give him Blair. Blair knew this, & went to Jack, planning on sleeping with him so Chuck could get his hotel. But, they only kissed before Jack told Blair that she didn't have to sleep with him, it was all just a plot to destroy Chuck. He also said that him & Chuck struck a deal: Blair for the Empire. Chuck knew that Blair would go to Jack all along; he wanted her to in order to win his hotel.

@x3BabyQx3 Well, pretty much. I think that he thought Blair would forgive him, so he could have both. Or he thought that Jack wouldn't tell Blair about their plan. But, ultimately, Chuck did choose the hotel over Blair. The fact that he reminded Blair about how she once told him that she would stand by him through anything makes me think that Chuck thought he could easily win Blair's forgiveness, though.

This is such a heart-wrenching and well-done scene. It's beautiful, actually. I'm not in any way saying that I agree with or support what Chuck did (it was terrible), but am I the only one who thinks that maybe Chuck didn't really want Blair to make the choice to go to Jack? Just a thought.

Chuck and Blair need to confer on their decision making processes, because when they don't, shit like what just happened here will always pull them apart. i understand why they broke them of. They just wanted to get some OMG to the show again. But the producer or someone said there will always be chuck and blair in GG, they are the fan favourites and pretty much the only reason that half of the viewers watch the show so this is not the end of them.

Anyway, i love this scene, shows how amazing actors leighton and ed are.
