Hello, I absolutely LOVE voctorian homes. I love how old they are and how they cannot really be built these days due to costs, time, etc... and I am hoping to buy a victorian home in Massachusetts, New York, or Pennsylvania when I am older. I want a fixer upper an dI was just wondering if you could tell me about how much you paid for this house? I would liek to get an idea. Thank you very much.
I am so happy to see someone saving this house. I was at the auction in the 1980's when the church across the street had the contents sold. I remember them selling some front interior doors, a pair with clear glass cased in red glass and cut through to the clear (cut not etched). I noticed a number of steamer trunks in the auction and the ships labels on them indicated they stopped traveling in the late 1920's. Did the family loose their money in the crash of 29?
o FYI howard and new life wood restoring products will do wonders for the woodwork and floors that are finished. Please dont sand the old finish off if you dont have to
one of my favorite type of homes...It is wonderful to see one saved. though not to be overly critical but older windows probably wont insulate as well, and they dont have protective coating to block out sunlight to prevent fading of furniture. At least replace the glass?
I'm from Mansfield and my wife is from Plainville. I have driven by this mansion many, many times. I wish you the best with this project. I think it's neat that you care enough to keep this historic treasure "alive" for the enjoyment and education of others. Good Luck!
Beautiful I love it!!!!

I'd have to be a billionaire to take this on, but I admire you!
