  • wow cool

  • Ahhh! I remember seeing the paperwork for application somewhere and wanted to go to this so bad! I wish I could. It would definitely be an eye-opener to all the different styles out there.

  • Do they only use parade rifles or do they use drill rifles as well at one point? Just curious.

  • BOA/ MFA is beyond amazing. I LOVE YOU LARRY!!! <3

    :)

this made me cry. i miss it soo much !!

  • Wow, they're all cute!

  • hey whats the difference btween flags and swing flags??? i realy dont know..

  • @shinevrything Swing flags aren't tossed so they have a shorter pole, and theyre just mainly used for style

  • @okkietightpantsmuffi ohh now i know .. thanks much XD

  • Stampede <3 LARRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • You mean that you alone do not care. This is one individual's opinion. It is illogical to assume that you could speak for others.

  • Color Guard in marching bands/Winterguard...This is a fusion of ballet and other dances in which you use rifles, sabres, airblades, flags, and swing flags(sorry if i missed any) to create a part of the visual and general affect in a marching band, or in indoor season it is referred to as a winterguard, in which the colorguard stands alone and provides a show to be judged.

Honor Guard...Is when you march military style with 2 flags and usually two weapon bearing people. Not as pretty or exciting.

  • cry more please. Your tears sooth me. seriously, get out of the past...

  • I do colorguard at my school (captains assistant), but we only use flags. This is my 5th year doing guard, but the type that we do at my small school is minimal and doesn't involve much dancing and isn't a big thing at my school. It's just for band. I'll be a junior in high school this year and I really would love to do something like this to help my team. I NEED ADVICE OF ANY TYPE!!!!

  • the best advice I can give you is to find a coach. I'm from a small school and last year we only did flags, but this year we got some coaches who are in college doing this and we've started doing riffles and sabres. You wont need a professional, just someone whos in college doing this. Thats what my coaches are. lol ones working at Joanns. But they know what their doing, and our color guard has really taken off this year

  • LARRY! Omg, I miss you! He's so much fun! He's a mean spinner XD

From a pistol-shootin' mama in Texas. XD

  • Tomorrow is a meeting for colorguard at my high school.. I want to do colorgiard but I've never done anything like it before. I have no experience. Do you think I should still try? =[

  • YES!!!!!!!!! I had zero experience when I started in high school, and I've now completed 2 seasons of drum corps. DO IT!

and i'm a first year at this and i luv it already! X3

  • YES. YES. YES. I was completely oblivious going into it, and it's amazing!

  • yes because they teach you everything

  • yes

  • omg band camp for my color guard is a pain

    9am to 12pm, then 5pm to 9pm

and then on 2 certain days its 9am to 4pm

    but its really fun

  • oh i c... im on dance team/color guard and my camp was from 1:30pm-9:00 every day... there are like 5 days left.

  • i wish i would have known of this. i would have gone. that would have been an amazing opportunity, especially since my friend spun bluecoats this summer.

  • alot of the corps have senior corps now - like carolina gold

  • do you know of any adult colorguards in the eastern part of the us

  • for indoor i know of blackwatch and light brigade. they spin in the independent world class. my instructor spins with them. there is also a senior class guard called "the guard". those guards all spin indoor. but for dci, i know bluecoats are in ohio, i'm not sure where the others are located though.

  • Thank You, I'll have to look into it. I gotta say, I miss colorguard more than anything else from HS.

  • you're welcome. yeah, i must say guard is the best part of my life pretty much. all of my really good true friends are pretty much all in colorguard. i love it and i never want to stop, so i'm planning on doing adult guards as well once i get out of high school.

  • ha. larry. i love that guy. When i marched drum corps he always gave me bags of candy...me and diddy.
