$200 on school supplies? When I was in school, I can get a lot of supplies with only $100 and can last for months, if not, years, especially if they are on sale.

I heard about this story. It makes me sick that the parents would actually put this money towards something other then their kids. they should get the transaction records and make them return it.

They handed out money for school supplies to welfare recipients here in my province up here in Canada. Some of it was spent on booze and cigarettes and who knows what else. The govt didn't even bother to tell the recipients what it was for so in a way, you can't blame them. Boy, govt can sure run programs! :D
