The park had just opened, it was on a Friday, and there were very few people there. I was able to ride three times without having to get back in line. They let me just stay there and ride over and over. It was great! :)

I saw that at the Carowinds web site. Cedar Fair has to rename it since Paramount owns Top Gun. I noticed that all the Nickelodian stuff is still there this year. Also, it looks like the Flying Super Saturater is gone, I think replaced with another wave pool. Check the Carowinds web site.

Because it's themed to the movie Top Gun. The station has Fightertown U.S.A. painted on it and there is a pretty large scale model of an F14 Tomcat in front of the ride.

top gun is for ppl who are scared of roller coasters. cuz when u go down its is sooo stinkin FUN!! i was scared of roller coasters and now that i have rode that i went on hurler and stuff like that. top gun is the best ride ever!!! and isnt it the tallest ride in carowinds?

Well, it's situated on the highest point of the park, I think, so it does appear that it's the highest at 113', but Borg's lift hill is actually about two feet higher (115') than Top Gun's. Vortex is at 90' at the top of it's lift hill, Thunder Road's is 93' and Hurler is at 83'. The other coasters at the park are nowhere near the height of the ones that I've mentioned here.

The Cyclone is a fun coaster. With it's double loop and then the double corkscrew, it's exciting. It's rather short, though. I like a little longer ride.
