The vehicle we were in or the 2 ambulances near the end? They were both Fords, we were in a Dodge, but it wasn't an ambulance, it was a Utility pickup, which we use for QRS, among other things.

Kind of. For years Berks County did voice paging with Minitor pagers, which was weird when I first moved up there after being used to alphanumeric pagers in Montgomery County. But now they're still paging with Minitors, but you also have the option of getting texts.
OMG, I went to reply to your comment from maybe a half hour ago, and accidentally hit "Remove". But anyway, there's a certain program that they use, I have no idea what it is, but it works pretty well....especially good for if you're out of pager range...
It's the truck's phone, so it stays in there. The ringing was because Berks sends text messages with the dispatch info to everyone's phone, just a backup, and to be able to look at the address again.
Well, they were considerably closer than we were. The intersection that we go through at 2:38, their station is just to the left at the township municiple campus, so I'd say we did pretty good, lol...

Just outside Reading, PA. It's in Berks County, about an hour WNW from Philly (depending on traffic, of course).
