If you have read the recent issue of Autoweek magazine, you would know that is was to be released next year as the BMW 8-series. It was supposed to compete with the Mercedes-Benz CL class and the Porsche Panamera (which is being released next year). However, due to the horrible economy, BMW has replied to Autoweek magazine that they will NOT be releasing it in the future. The good news is that BMW is still going to release new models, such as the 7-series hybrid.
