fall break, winter break, spring break, and summer break. religion doesn't need to come into it at all. Why? because it's not your home, it's a school. If you want your kids wearing crosses or hajibs, cool, but there's really no need to celebrate any particular holiday. It just leads to futile debates like this one.

Nice job Ahmad Rehab, but you should have talked about the religiously oriented school system we have hear. We do not have complete separation of church and state. We have a society in which Saturdays and Sundays are not school days because of Jewish and Christian beliefs. Us Muslims are not asking for a day off. I understand that Christmas is an American culture, but this is a country that is so diverse that who knows what American culture even is. There are so many ethnicities and cultures here. America has the tendency to try and make others conform to their beliefs and it's not ok. If we are going to accept the diversity of our country, we have to accept everything that comes with it.
