you are smar for using such small quantities of this mixture but you are also sending a very dangeorus message to a lot of the idiot kids that watch these videos. KMno4 has NO place in pyrotechnics, fireworks, M80's even. I really hope you arent mixing larger amounts dude.
@MrBillLumberg dont worry I made this video just for this purpose, to show that the normal al/kclo4 flashpowder is way more powerful and safer than kmno4.

What you're doing at 1:32 you can not do in pyrotechnics. Several people have had accidents of various severeness this way!
This kind of flash powder isn't just unreliable, it is unstable. Therefore it shouldn't be made or used for anything but testing purposes. Storing it is just not done. I guess you already knew that, so stay green :-) .
