Protestant, or Catholic...Whats it matter? We're all Gentiles anyway, and yet He still loves, died and rose for us the same. Lets all (myself included) stop letting the enemy have his' way by we believers in Christ bickering amongst ourselves and get on track to fight the true fight.
Hey I gotta question. For anyone who can answer it or not. How do you know for sure that you are going to heaven. How do you know when god has forgiven you from a son that you have done I used to be extremely in love with god but latlely iv been drifting farther and farther away. I ask him to come I. But, it is important to know that if you've given you life to Christ and asked him to forgive you then you are FORGIVEN and are going to heaven. That doesn't mean though you can go off and do whatever you want, God (at least I think) wants us to repent and try not to sin. Just believe in him and have faith that he'll help you get through this hard time. God bless you!
I don't think you need to be so concerned about being Catholic or not - all Christian religions have some aspects that others will find fault with...we all believe that Christ died for us and is our salvation, and isn't that what really matters? We are more alike than different.....why not focus on what we have in common...Matt's music brings Christ to people in a powerful way and that's what matters!!
@amanda2324 Good question! Well,as Catholics,we certainly don't HAVE to ask the saints to intercede for us,it's a personal desire. One of the main reasons we ask then to pray for us is because they're 100% human! So they've felt our pains,wants,etc. So it's NOT an obligation,just a desire! It makes me feel better to ask a fellow human being to pray for me!

Jesus gave us Church leaders (Peter was the first pope, see Matt 16:18) so that people wouldn't just read scripture in whatever way suits them- There are many interpretations but ONLY one truth. I absolutely love this guy. I've been kicked out of two catholic churches for wearing my baseball cap. God loves catholics as much as anyone. I'm 62 and an old rock drummer from the 60's and the cops still bust me for drumming. I desperately wish the klove music was more original, most of it is borrowed from metal, with the solid bass lines and solid guitar eighth notes with distortion. I'm a great sinner, but feel God has a direction with my drumming in my old age, I just hope he saves me. love

Why are we fighting about the doctrines or whatever of being a Christian or Catholic. I'm pretty sure that God had no denomination back in biblical times. They were known as the Church. They were the ones who believed in Lord Jesus. So if you believe in Jesus and dedicate your life to Him, aren't we then children of God?

With liberals in the contemporary Christian music scene, disgraceful books like "what Christians like and especially Catholics like Maher, I am sceptical about about their Christianity, salvation, books and music. But I have to say, this song is spectacular. Maher outdone himself on this one. This is one of the best contemporary Christian songs I have heard since Born Again by Third Day. You may say, "if you aren't sure if he is a Christian how can you like it?" I can give you a logical answer
@jean1juan He's in standard. It looks like he's in the key of E He plays a E, C, G , D progression. The intro is a weird octave kinda chord (it's probably a 10th interval) but he plays 7 on the A and then 8 on the B, then 3 on the A and then 5 on the b, and finally a 10 in the a and 12 to 13 on the b string. Hope this helps, I really like this song too!

@xaznguitaristx God sent his son Jesus to die for us he's suppose to be our savior ( Jesus & God 3 in 1) so we need to believe that Jesus is the son of God & he came to die for us to save us from our sins so thats the diffrence :)

@xaznguitaristx Yes I understand that but not all and if you belive in God you MUSt belive that his son Jesus is our savior I have nothing against catholics or anything and I understand there religion & everything but I think to belive in the true God you must belive in his son Jesus and not that he was a prophet but the son of God :)

The very message of Christianity is a tradition. I do appreciate that you engaged, but I don't quite understand how the proverb relates. Expound?

@odoxyblog That would be "translated by" not "written by." The original authors of the individual books making up the bible were actually devout Jews and the Catholic church didn't exist. Everything is passed by tradition, doesn't make it wrong. Football on thanksgiving day is a tradition but I haven't seen many picket the games. :D

@needmoreassembly Catholics do NOT pray to Mary. We ask her to pray for us, just as one would ask their pastor to, because Jesus was born into the world through Mary and thus honored/sanctified her.
Infant baptism? Yeah, we believe that an indelible mark on the soul that purifies one of original sin is a pretty great gift for our children.
Transubstantiation? John 6:66. If it was a metaphor, He wouldn't have let them leave.
Confession?Mat 18:18; we confess to Jesus via the line of Melchizedek

With liberals in the contemporary Christian music scene, disgraceful books like "what Christians like and especially Catholics like Maher, I am sceptical about about their Christianity, salvation, books and music. But I have to say, this song is spectacular. Maher outdone himself on this one. This is one of the best contemporary Christian songs I have heard since Born Again by Third Day. You may say, "if you aren't sure if he is a Christian how can you like it?" I can give you a logical answer

@jean1juan He's in standard. It looks like he's in the key of E He plays a E, C, G , D progression. The intro is a weird octave kinda chord (it's probably a 10th interval) but he plays 7 on the A and then 8 on the B, then 3 on the A and then 5 on the b, and finally a 10 in the a and 12 to 13 on the b string. Hope this helps, I really like this song too!
