  • I track my SW20 MR2, but know what? I like the Fiero, too.

  • MR2 and Fiero driving together ftw.

  • FIERO FOR THE WIN!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love my MkII :3

  • MR2 is better

  • my vtec gets more

  • i have an 84 fiero and i love it.

I am also looking at buying an 85 fiero gt. it runs fine i have checked it out but there is one small crack in the frame. The guy said he would take 300 dollars for it. Good deal or no????? im not sure

  • Ouch... that last sentence in the video hurts me so much. I'm a huge Fiero fan, and that made me a little sad that he said that, considering the way the fiero stopped.

don't get me wrong, i love the MR2 as well. But Fieros have just been in my life a little more than the MR2. I'd still take either, and im actually in the process of buying an 88 GT Fiero.

  • I can tell you having owned an 86 GT and driven an 88 GT, the differences in handling, steering feel, and effort are greatly improved for 1988. The car finally came into its own. The only thing it needed was bit more power, which would have been answered in 1989 with a 3.4L V-6 that was supposed to go in it. GM is famous for great ideas with poor follow through - the Fiero being the prime example.

  • The MR2 was known in its early days for jerky handling and sudden loss of control. That's why Toyota was constantly making revisions throughout the model years to the chassis/suspension to compensate.

  • Fiero is junk.....Working at a junkyard is one good way to find out whats a piece of crap or not.....GM definitly has that handled......JUNK!

  • At least an MR2 doesn't catch fire, Americans can't comprehend what a mid engine car is

  • @ThePaperCreator That was in 84 when the first year model came out and had some bugs. Only 2% caught fire. GM fixed it with a recall.

Several things were done during that recall. I know because i owned an 84 SE with the recall having been done and all potential issues were resolved.

  • there is a white fiero parked at the end of my block. and after bringing home an mr2 today...a red mr2 is parked on my side :D....we out to race

  • It's sad that Fiero and MR2 people still look at each other as enemies.

How many people here own stock in GM or Toyota? I don't.

People that keep awesome 25 year old cars on the road need to stick together, not hate on each other. It's stupid.

I'm a Fiero fan, but I don't hate the MR2 or people who drive them. If the opportunity permits, I might have a friendly drag race with a first-gen MR2, but the key word is "friendly". I can't stand people who take manufacturer rivalries so damn personally.

  • @yorgle11 That's true. I had an 84 Fiero and the only one driving a Fiero around in my town. The only other mid engine car was a newer MR2 driving around. We'd wave when we'd pass each other on occasion.

  • "And it's engine is less complicated"? WTF?

  • @TruthAndMoreTruth

I'm not an expert on Toyotas, but from what I can tell, it's an aluminum head, 16-valve DOHC, with a turbo and intercooler.

It ended up popular, but this was the first year of this build spec and yes it's more complicated.

The 2.8 in the Fiero is an all-iron, 12 valve pushrod. No turbo, quite simple. Iron is more durable than aluminum, but heavier.

If you work on cars you can appreciate the merits of simplicity.

    Both are non-interference

They're both good cars, not bashing.

  • @yorgle11 the tested MR2 was supercharged not turbo

  • 2:36 is the mr2 tire flat?

  • @alankwok1231 Yes. Typical Jap OEM quality tires of the time.

  • fiero = predicable = boring.

Mr2 = raw, twitchy and wild.

i can't wait to get my mr2 running now.

  • @viscountalpha

    viscountalpha = biased = moron

    MR2 = tiny = lightweight

Fiero = modability = looks = better than you

  • well damn just put a turbo on the 2.8l v6 there you go twice as fast as the mr2...ot throw a 3.8L sc in it even faster and the swap is extreamly easy... and the 3.8 gets better mpgs.. Fiero ALL the way!

  • @blsbrandon1

Clearly you're not too bright. Don't be mad because Toyota couldn't keep those old pieces of shit on the road. Fieros are everywhere, where as the MR2 isn't. Yea, which stood the test of time, nigger?

  • @blsbrandon1 if ur talkin swaps then throw in the 3sgte into the MR2 or even a 1mz or a 2gr, the swaps have been done and with the 3sgte its a low 13 second car off swap

  • The Fiero has always been the better car. The Toyota is for faggots and white chinks who also have some nig in them.

People give a shit about fieros and want to collect them. There is no demand for some shit MR2. The aftermarket alone for Fieros blows the MR2 out of the water.

  • @SupremeAIIah way to be racist as fuck. Too bad the MR2 is the better car. Why else did it last for almost 20 years while the Fiero died after a few years? And by the way, the Mazda Miata is better than both.

  • "MR2 vs Fiero"

    Too funny.

  • LOL "almost just as fast as an MR2 7.5 seconds" LOL a whole second slower than the MR2 was a second faster, what a load of bias crap...the difference in speed, refinement and technology clearly points out that Toyota made a classic car. Having driven and SW20 here in Australia and having driven a Fiero while visiting the US the cars are in different leagues...The MR2 is FAR superior and a classic to boot. Good on Pontiac for trying...

  • Toyota with bad brakes? Stop the presses!

    I kid, I kid.

  • Also notice that almost everyone who has owned both says the MR2 is the better car. Probably because it was purpose built by several companies and the Fiero was just made with GM parts.

  • @booyahbd Not accurate... In fact, the Toyota borrowed quite a few parts from the Toyota bin. Having said that... There is NOTHING a Fiero can do better than a same-year MR-2. Nothing. Period. The MR-2 was faster, more nimble, braked better, was built better, had better ergonomics, led in technology by 2 decades, was more fuel efficient. Some thought the Fiero looked better (I didn't), but that's purely subjective. In EVERY other way it was the MR-2. HANDS DOWN!

  • @The2020Watcher I see more Fieros these days than i see MR-2s. Who do you think withstood the test of time better?

  • @PurePolaris06 Well, in my neck o' the woods ---Las Vegas--- I see many more MR2s than Fieros. (I'm only speaking of the 85-89 MR2 when the Fiero is being compared.) Regarding your question about "the test of time"... I think the MR2 was always a FAR better car, in virtually EVERY regard so, in 20 years, nothing has changed. You *might* think the Fiero looks better ---I STILL don't--- but the MR2 remains the vastly better car.

  • @The2020Watcher Well, unfortunately some dumbass made the rule that everybody has their own opinion, and unfortunately you are entitled to it, although I completely disagree. I see very few fieros where I live, which is good because I don't really want to be driving the same car as anybody else, but I see even fewer MR2's. The only place I see more MR2's is in the scrapyard. Yes, I do know that the Fiero looks better (Fastbacks rather than notchbacks) and didn't you just watch the video above?

  • @PurePolaris06 Lucky for you, that "dumbass's" rule applies to you, too, huh? These cars ---and this argument--- are 20+ years old! No need to rehash it again. I'm an original owner of a 1988 Supercharged MR2. I now own four, all original. (None of them is my main ride.) Your car is probably on its 3rd or 4th engine swap, hence the scrapyard experience. So... Enjoy your car. I enjoy mine immensely, and wouldn't trade you for the world!

  • @The2020Watcher

Look at this moron ramble on about engine swaps. Yea, that's why you've had four of the same car. Way to defeat your own flawed argument, son.

  • @SupremeAIIah Huh? Uh, OK... I guess that's makes some kinda sense in *your* world. It's not "I've HAD" four MR2s, it's "I HAVE" four MR2s and ---again--- what that has to do with engine swap talk is anybody's guess. An' besides... Who's even talkin at you?No wonder Fiero build quality doesn't concern you at all, look at the quality of your LOGIC! Wow.

  • @The2020Watcher Buddy, for real? My car has 120 000kms on it. no where near an engine swap. However, if i could really feel like it, I'll just drop a 3.8 supercharged engine in it and the only thing you'll be able to smell and hear is my engine roaring and my tires roasting when i roar past your toyota shitbox. I really hope you enjoy your oil burning soya sauce machine bud, you little fairy.

  • @PurePolaris06 My friend... You're happy with your car. I'm *glad* about that, really! Rock on! And you *could* swap in another motor and leave me in a cloud o' dust, pourin' soy sauce on some Japanese noodles. You're a god! (And your razor wit is just unfathomable.) Boo hoo... My car really sucks and I wanna die. Boo hoo... OK, I'm over it. NOW whaddya wanna play?

  • @The2020Watcher Lmao, well im *glad* that we've come to agreement! You *could* take it easy on yourself, you're obviously not that much of a loser! :)

  • MR2 was throws better. Lotus helped develop chassis, and Yamaha helped develop the engine so you know it was the best. More power per liter across the board, better gas mileage, revs to 8k, incredible reliability, better handling, and turns heads everywhere I go. Toyota put the best of everything into an affordable and practical sports car and has a loyal fan base because of it. Fiero owners seem to be stuck in that "Detroit rules!" and "Japanese cars suck!" era.

  • im for the fiero

  • MR2 kicks ass. All you need is some Biltstein shocks and some 15 inch enkei rims and Pirelli p7 tires and bring the HP up to about 250 with an aftermarket SC maybe an Eaton and you got one kick ass street rocket, the Fiero? Drive it off a cliff, make sure you jump out before it goes over though!

  • going for a ride to the beach in my 86 SE fiero later TY for the insperation! Im going to put a fiero body on a MR2 chassis!

  • i owned a 1986 mr2 n/a and it was the most fun car i ever owned wish it wouldn't of been my first car cuz i ripped the shit outta that car and blew the motor up but i am gonna buy a 1991-1995 turbo mr2 next i cant wait :)

  • Mr2 FTW. but like mike rowe from dirty jobs said, ford quality is now offically better than toyota. ok so they admit toyota was better for that whole time.? jackasses. who comes up with these statistics? toyotas are only good if they were made in japan.

  • Brake problems in the 80's? Showed the future of Toyota with it going on today still. But I still have to give major judos to both cars. They were pretty creative during the 80's era to show what cars were and are.

  • Too bad the video is an '88 MR2, in 89 they made like 30 minor changes inlcuding BIGGER brake rotors and calipers, so so much for that stopping issue and 22 years later my 1989 MR2-SC STILL runs like new, so the "supercharger reliability" isn't an issue. However on the flip side, the Pontiacs don't have much going for them while trying to stand the test of time... other than being a more popular chassis for kit cars.

  • '88 Fiero was the only real Fiero ever. The earlier were just Chevy Citations in disguise. Unfortunately, GM killed off the Fiero and thus began the decline of Pontiac. In the 90s, Pontiac produced predominantly junk badge-engineered cars that nobody wanted. Now, the company is defunct as a direct result of the connotation Pontiac = crap.

  • pffffffffffffft. they dont know how to drive an mr2. if u think its twitchy, and hard to controll, then ur either to rough or your just shit and have no idea how to drive a mr2

  • @12345tou exactly that goes for any mid engine car

  • The MR2 is an amazing car, personally I am really starting to like them. And I am about to buy a 1988 MR2 myself. And I found this video and it interested me.

Anyone have any suggestions for modifications?

    Email me. InhumanNightHawk@gmail.com

  • Fiero's are great cars and i respect them, but if u really want that burst of acceleration and speed as soon as u shift u should get a 96 3rd gen mr2 turbo! so far no one has been able to keep up from supras to gto's!

  • Comment removed

  • They are BOTH equally loved and unique. I love them both and I'm stuck in the 80's!

  • I had a 1985 Fiero SE 2M6.....FAST car for what it was.....it wasn't stock when I bough t it...it had been bored, balanced and blueprinted (figgure someone had more money than brains to do that to an old 2.8)

I LOVED the car, I want to sell my F350 and buy another one....but stuff a 4.9 caddy in her this time!!

  • Pontiac Fiero GT !!

    Greets from holland

  • MR2 FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!

  • fiero interior is garbage..actually the whole car is..POS

  • I used to call them Fire-Os because the engines caught fire constantly

  • @mrcarson2 only the 84 dumb ass

  • MR2 is more innovative, more adult, sporty, personal. A MAN IN DANDISM!!!

GIVE ME A THUMBS UP IF YOUR A MAN OR WOMAN IN DANDISM!

  • @1sick93 its way to blocky

  • I saw a monkey throw his own feces one day. Really, I saw it. It really happened.

  • My dad and I built an '88 fiero with a procharged 6.0 LS1 making 602hp at the wheels:) 0-60 comes in about....well faster

  • @sockerdood11 your dad built nothing

  • Fiero sucks. Look at the sales of fiero now and the MR2 in comparison now. MR2 beats the resale value and no one looks at a Fiero like the MR2. Everywhere I go, I have old and younger people saying how they used to own an MR2 and wish they still did. When I owned a Fiero, I never had anyone wishing they still or ever had one.

  • (Not all of course) - I guess that includes me. I love my MR2 and since I would never call all Fiero owners gold-chain wearing rednecks who drive a Chevette, I must not be a douchebag like California9.

  • Having owned both,I enjoyed both cars.I have been more of a Fiero fan, though, ever since the new ones first rolled out in '84.I have owned a few Fieros, ranging from a gold modified '86 SE V-6 model,an all black '84 2M4 with custom wing stands and Holley air scoop,to a unique carbureted custom blue '84 SE.My MR2 was a red '86.Kudos to both companies for providing great performing and affordable mid-engined cars with even greater styling.

  • Pontiac, its just better.

  • @Motorfordtoyota HAHA i beg to differ...pontiac sucks balls

  • If anyone is looking to buy a mr2 sc mine is for sale, check my vid

  • LOL! 2:32 Toyota tire is FLAT. Typical Jap OEM quality tires.

    Fiero FTW!

  • mr2 ftw

  • MR2's Rule !!!

  • MR2

  • I've go a 500 hp '91 Mr2 turbo. At leas you still see MR2's on the road today. Not so with the cavalier, I mean the Fiero.

  • @JAGWAH66 um...there is more cavilers on the road then toyota has prolly put out of all ther models.....and y has toyota had so many recalls lately buddy??? ;)

  • @dirtyprivate First of all, I don't know what "prolly" means. Second, "lately" has nothing to do with when the MR2 turbo was out. Nice try to try and win an argument using todays standards. But, um.....no. MR2 is still better and you know it, 'buddy'.

  • this guy is obviously a toyota fan

  • You don't get honest, thorough, beautifully narrated car reviews like this any more.

Also the last 6 seconds of this video are sad. It was too late.

  • lol i have this on VHS...

  • MR2 is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • $16000 for a Fiero, what a bargin, does it come with the leather gloves and red leg warmers?

  • IT"S A SPORTS CAR IT"S SUPPOSED TO BE LOUD!!! what an anti import car fag!

  • mr2 is better just because it has that look never liked american cars no offense people.

  • interesting i always felt the styling on the Toyota aged much worse, they both scream mid 1980's but i felt the pontiac has a more modern design, the aesthetics of the fiero are those of a sports car aerodynamic, wide nice side profile with some curves.the mr2 is so square and weird looking the second gen mr2 fixed all that tho.

  • @xSubsistancex but the MR2 is sooo freakin ugly! The second gen Mr2 is MUCH better and looks allot like a Fiero.

  • @LordSamuelJ WTF

  • Mr2 FTW

  • sounds like the MR2 is better.

Subaru WRX is far superior to both Fiero and MR2.

  • 911 > wrx

  • i say MR2

  • honestly both of these cars were very shitty.

  • <3 MR 2

  • holly crap! 145 hp from a 4cylinder in the 80s??

  • MR2 !!!!

  • what??? mr2 was way better than the fieros. i own a mk2 and i like it more than my friends wrx. just driver preference i guess.

  • I had an 87 SE V6, it was a FUN CAR!! I also had an 86 MR2 Non super charger, also FUN CAR!!

Either one would be a great "classic" car for someone to restore.

  • @adonian best reply so far,i myslef love midship layout so both car share that in common so i rather maintain myself neutral here since i never had a fiero but.... if i hear a fiero owner trash talking mr2s on my local area he will have to prove it against my mr2 ^^

  • I had a Fiero it was a blast to drive. 1986 automatic.

Had a lot of reliability issues, though.

That was years ago. Now thinking of a MR2

  • Things are always better with Pontiac

  • I have an 87 MR2 not supercharged, also my first car and I absolutely love it, hugs the ground, is very fast , and my mechanic says if I continue to take car of it should last another 10 years. Me personally, i like the MR2, its also simple when it comes to the engine.

  • figures that pontiac dropped the Fiero when it was the best ever...

  • mr2 is better than fiero...ive owned both :)

  • after I saw it in his parent driveway, as I saw it for sale on one of my town major streets with for sale in the windows. Can't imagine why he sold it.

  • I love MR2s, but I respect Fieros as well. I don't really care for the looks of the AW11 MR2s like the one in the video, prefering instead the more ferrari-esc lines of the SW20 Mk2 MR2s. The only thing that for me let the Fiero down was the company who built it, GM. I had an old friend that had a beautiful gold Fiero, which he drove for a few years. I lost contact with him, and passed by his house some 5 years later to find his Fiero languishing in his parents front yard. He sold it soon..

  • after looking at the mr2's numbers i dont really wana watch the rest of the video. lol

  • If I'm not mistaken, a 1988 Lotus Esprit Turbo does 0-60 in 5.4 seconds, not 5.8....just a note.

  • That MR2 was almost as fast as a Corvette. WOW. That's when Toyota was Toyota.

  • @tom11zz884 rice was rice?

  • @Supergungun ricer burner, a slang term for a person who modifies import (refering to asian) cars. a mild put-down rather than racist slur, supposedly.

  • @SageofTalos It's not racist. Japan got revenge for WW2 by destroying one of our cities: Detroit with its shitty plastic cars and ricey cylinder slow engines.

  • @Supergungun ok, i don't see it as a racial slur myself, but some people do.

  • @tom11zz884 MR2 is so much better than a Fiero

  • @tom11zz884 yeah they did a great job with the supra too, i think the MR2 and the Supra are the Best cars ever made by Toyota, GREAT COMPANY CAR, in all ways! :D

  • That MR2 was a little beast. 0-60 in 6.5 secs. back in 1988, that was wickedly fast, even fast by todays standards. It definitely kicked the fieros ass..lol

  • Let's see, feelsome, accurate, manual steering, rifle bolt shift, Cosworth clone gem of an engine, Lotus-like ride/handling balance, perfect pedal placement and visibility, dead reliability... and the winner is the Fiero?! I grew up with family Fieros but the MR2 is a far superior sports car. The Fiero is a neat departure for an American car and fun in it's own way, but it has neither the delicacy nor the mechanical purity of the AW11. Not even close.

  • Comment removed

  • Most mr2 owners have also owned more then one, me for example. I've driven both cars and would never even concider owning a fiero and there was nothing magical what so ever about it. The fiero has always had a bad rep. I do appreciate some of them but all I can say is the one I drove(an '88 base model if memory serves) was laughable.

  • Most Fiero owners have owned multiple cars. Not because they break and they need to buy another. We just get the bug and love to play with and mod them. I own a 2005 Subaru WRX STi which is way better than both these cars in every single way. But I will buy a 3rd Fiero GT. Why? Fiero's are magical. Kinda like how they talk about Alfas on Top Gear I think.

  • @California9 , your full of shit clear up to your ears!!!Your wrx is shit!!!

  • @California9 mr2 when done right looks much better then the sti...but in performance...sti wins

  • I owned an 86GT and it was a daily driver for 3 years. Never broke down once and I even took it on long trips out of state. After I sold it I bought an 88GT and had that for a year and it never broke on me either. MR2's are cool, but with the exception of the second gen model they were ugly as hell. What I tend to see is that Fiero lovers tend to be an older, kinder group of car lover and MR2 lovers (not all of course) seem to be more ricer douchebags

  • @California9 Are you kidding? the second gen model was the best. I say the MRS is the worst.

  • I'd go for the MR2 anyday!

My dad had a Fiero, he drove from LA to San Diego and that thing broke down 3 times during the trip!

And the engine placement was not very well thought out... for example: try replacing the spark plugs without having to loosen the motor mounts and shifting the engine back

  • you change the spark plugs from the bottom...... aka under the car

my friend has over 270,000 miles on his and runs great, for sale now on criagslist..... take care of your cars and they last

  • I'm saying it's easier to take care of the MR2 and I trust Japanese cars more that American cars. Why is the Fiero for sale on Craigslist?

  • hes having a kid... fieros or mr2's dont handle kids aka 3rd passanger lol

  • @Bosmob HAHHA thats funny!! JAPANESE CARS ALL THE WAY!

  • Mr2 was alil faster with half the engine, also can go all day W/O supercharger at light throtle..one is a Clydesdale the other a race horse... and the compare was bias

  • LOL!! Yeah.... i wanna feel Safe driving a sports car <_<

But other then that the review is awsome ^_^

  • why wouldnt you feel safe in a fiero. it has awesome crash safety rating.....

  • cause its a bomb

  • cars now are made of crumple zones. the fiero was made of plastic and the whole car shatters. the only crumple zone in it is you.

  • its a space frame with fiberglass around it. I'ts very safe. look it up..........

  • well said

  • @myspacesuxmynutz what about the steel space frame under all that body plastic? you dont honeslty think they made the "whole" car out of plastic do you? sheesh

  • hehe... definetively this program was provided with the cars to make the fiero stand out... it's american pride against japanese techology... it isn't surprising than even with the MR2 being vastly superior in most aspects, the downsides about the MR2 were compared to the "improved" or better in the fiero...

reality comes now.. just how many of those fieros you see on the streets... and how many mr2 are still selling with strong reliability.

  • Comment removed

  • if dont believe me check wikipedia

  • i would with the mr2 . the fiero has too many engine problems.

  • The so-called 'engine problems' with Fieros is common myths that have ruined it's reputation. Most all of what is in the media was focused primarily to the 2.5L L4 engine, and consolidated even further to '84 models, which of the cars that had problems equated to about 2 percent of all Fieros produced - a real low number.

I've owned three Fieros and they're as good as any other car. I think all the problems come from people being lazy and not taking care of them and doing basic maintenance.

  • That's true. That said, I bought an '89 MR2 that had every single kind of engine maintenance (oil, plugs, filters etc.) deferred for so long it would have broken a GM 2.5. The dumb kid I bought it from regularly revved it cold to near 8K on low oil, this on a motor with 250K miles on it.

  • DragonInfraXtremeRGT, i agree with u mr2 is one of the most reliable cars, the fiero brakes down alot my dads friend had one and it was a disaster

  • I've driven Fieros, mk1 MR2s, and have a modified(300hp+) mk2 MR2 turbo.

They're all fun cars. I wouldn't mind having all three, if I had the space.

  • my friend has an '88 MR2 SC with nearly 380,000 kms on it!! Daily driven, barely any rust (can't figure out why not!!, salty here in Toronto, ON Canada) and the thing won't die.. rock solid reliability..

I have an '82 Fiat X1/9.. with an Uno Turbo 1.3L engine waiting to go in :).. FTW! -> by 1980's standards anyhow...

  • wow! 135hp from a 2.8l v6...thats truly pathetic

  • LOL I know, right?

  • i dont like the look of the 88 mr2 (my favorite is the 02 or 92) but the only look I like of the fiero if it's a fastback

  • both are great cars with qaulities that are impossible to find these days

  • That's for sure, i wish it was still the 80's... i hate these days the cars suck, and so does everything else

  • @Declipse16 thats 100% correct lol

  • @MLBMike613 I know :P

  • @Declipse16 ha just saw your smooth looking grand prix...didnt notice it was you til i saw it...i have the same car...mines like a maroon color...im not a big fan of it...its causing me problems lol too many!

  • @MLBMike613 Wow really? I LOVE mine haven't had any problems with it i wish i had two of them! of course i wish my second one would be a gtp or gxp :P

  • @Declipse16 reason why im starting to hate it cuz my gas cap light and my check engine light keeps coming on. i really dont know why. screwing me in gas mileage too but i read about the gxp and gtp but i cant remember which of the 2 have more horsepower? also did you know a gtp can beat a mustang? i laughed when i saw the video im like take that mustang!! haha wierd thing is mine sounds supercharged haha its the timing belt when i rev it up lol its funny someone believed me when i said i had one

  • @MLBMike613 Lol a gxp has 303 horsepower with a 5.3L northstar v8, and the gtp has 260 hp with a supercharged 3800 v6 engine. The gxp is fasssst. The gtp is too but the gxp is faster

  • @Declipse16 TAKE THE GXP!!! Lol

  • I loved the Fiero; yet wasn't it supposed to be a "Commuter" Car? not Sports?

too bad it suffered from bad owners not keeping the cooling system clean as well as the engine causing the infamous mid-engine fires as we see on dumb blonde daddy bought Lambo's and Ferrari's Still <3 these cars despite the years or who made them even my Fiat X 1/9!!!

  • TRUE!!! ha thanks fiero for life!

  • FI-ER-O!!!

  • FI-ER-O!!!

  • i agree the MR2 dose handle good but it is ezy to push passed its limits

  • 1988-1989 Fiero GT's have a purpose now a days other than to be classified as a powerful, but yet junky car. They can be used as doner cars for kitcar projects, like making a fiberglass replica of a Lamborghini or such. But since lots of people like making knock-off expensive cars, Fieros have gotten more expensive. In 1999, a few years before kit cars were popular, the Fieros sold for the equivalent of $4700 (2009 dollars). Now they can be from $8,000-14,000 (2009 dollars).

  • Alot of MR2s up here in ohio are really nothing but rust buckets.

  • seems like anything from the 80's is a rust bucket in Ohio :)

  • Does depend, some cars simply were not taken very good care of. You gotta wash your car once it hits the 40s or 50s after a good snow storm. That brine that put down is NASTY.

  • @scottdeshon ha tell me about it lol
