1. The Shermans in the movie were M-4A3's, with 75mm cannons. M-4's didn't have 76mm's till fitted with T-23 turrets in early '44. 2. The Tiger 1 was a T-34/85 dressed up to look like a Tiger 1, the same one used in "Saving Private Ryan". 3. The movie was filmed in Tito's Yugoslavia, 1970. 4. Oddball's head gear was Luftwaffel, not the regular american "football helmet". 5. Telly Savalis was the M-24 Chaffee tanker in "Battle of the Bulge". The Tiger tank commander was also in BOTB.

I first saw this movie in 1972. My best gal-pal's boyfriend was Oddball in the flesh. He was an armor nut, and one of the best friend I'd ever have.
