Why do guys on motorcycles always ride the fucking line instead of staying in the middle of the lane. Your bike is 1.5 feet wide and the lane is 8 feet wide. You really cant manage that?
@psiewert83 The middle of the lane is where oil and debris rests from car tires not driving there. We are more visible in traffic at the left or right edge of the lane as we'll. I intentionally ride the line most of the time to be visible and to avoid hitting a nail or something that would give me a flat tire.
I just got back home after getting pulled-over for the first time in my life by a police officer on Friday, November 25, 2011 at around 9:25PM. The officer was from the Alameda Police Department, and pulled me over for "making lane changes that were not so crisp". He did a DUI test on me which came out negative. Thankfully the officer was nice enough to let me go without issuing me a citation or ticket.
i heard in Kansas that bikers can run red's so long as its safe because the majority of the time the nike doesnt trip the stoplight sensor and you could sit there till another car comes on your side. wish that was valid here in Az, ive been stuck for ten minutes at a time so tempted to run it but thought better of it. just wondering if there was any truth to it
sigh....I got my first ticket April 1st on my motorcycle on my way to work. The cop yelled at me the whole time to get off the bike, give him the license/registration and step to the side. I couldn't even talk. He was nicer when he came back with my ticket, I had my helmet off and he realized i was a girl with my head down really scared and shaking bc he was yelling. He said sorry. yeah, I'm not a "bad ass" type of person. I'm just a girl that knows how to ride and didn't realize i was speeding.
Yeah that is annoying. You wait half a second too long and they honk. I intentionally pause to look because running red lights is common out here. I think we have the worst driving courtesy in the country.
Dude, people are consistently doing 80+ in that area and they pull you over for 77? It almost seems like the crown vic guy had a boner for getting a bike that day. lol
I've only gotten a ticket from the KCMO police and they suck. I was doing about 70 through the triangle and apparently the speed limit was 45 freaking mph. I had no idea. No construction, no nothing. Now they have it at 65 mph all through the triangle. I think they lower the speed limit to 45 that day to get some extra revenue or something.

Bummer
Kind of spoils the fun of a warm December day to get a ticket.

Was it a hipo that got you? Most OP cops dont care if you are going 10+ over.

@Iroquois14 Nah, it was an OPPD officer... his buddy in the white crown vic was a little bent out of shape about the whole thing.

@Iroquois14 I agree the cops in this area are pretty cool. I'vce only been pulled over once and the guy was pretty cool about it.
