Superb rendition of this great song! My dad, a child of the depression, often spoke of Floyd as a hero and gave me the song sang by Woody Guthrie when I was just a small boy. You put soul into that song. Thank you.
@INUIT3333 Thanks a lot. Nice to see that people still enjoy it. My youngest son, when still young, used to request it often, even before he became a Jack Elliot fan.
I usually stay with finger picking, though I admire the picking style, and have occasionally used it in some country-style recordings. But most of what I feel I know how to do relates to a folk style. Thanks for the comment and question.
awsome how long have you been studying me about 3 yrs. but that all i do thanks to a heart surgery...but i love the time i have to do the things i alway's wanted to do but had to work now i fill that time playing and studying music i think GOD was not pleased with my old life so i'm getting a second chance and i feel he wants me to sing and play his divine laungage of music that the Lord for music i do every time i play...8-10 hour a day love the lessons
@vauxhall908 The "second time" thing is true for me as well, though it just came with "old" age. Most of my spare time now is used learning to play The Chapman Stick, and it sure is fun!
Such a cool timeless song. I spent a week last year in Shawnee while attending the "Woody Fest" in Okemah. Have you ever attended? Great place. Great people!
great

I love it. What kind of guitar is that?
And do you ever use plectrums?

It's Hirade, made by Ovation/Takamine.

No, I never have, but I will keep it in mind to try and do so some day when I am back in the USA. Thanks for mentioning it.
