  • Her little black eyes are cute. I love those. :)

  • Was she just in your garden and you went out to visit her here and there?

  • just watching this made me nervous i dont care how harmless some spiders can be i dont want one on me, not even a daddy long leg let alone this big thing ahh

  • @elliemomma415 Gets a whole lot easier once you've seen one grooming or courting.

  • I hate spiders and everything but I gotta admit that argiope's are beautiful :D all those colors, and she's pretty docile too

  • yo whats up with the watch? ahahaha!

  • i think you need a new watch

  • Notice how clumsy they are when not on their web. This is because they spend their entire short life on their web and nowhere else. Watch one scurry towards a bug caught in its web, they are fast! Now look at it struggle to walk on your hand..

  • i always wondered what they where, my former classmates used to call them bannana spiders

  • I'll tell you what.. I am terrified of spiders, and all insects for that matter. But I watched this video, and was very pleased. I dont harm anything so innocent. This is just an awesome video, and gives me a different outlook on some of the things I am afraid of. I only turned away at the beginning!! :]

  • i think you need a new watch.

  • Super gay cowboy music.

  • The venom of the Orb Weaver is potent, but not dangerous to humans. Its venom is a neurotoxin similar to that of the black widow. Its venom is not near as potent.

Orb weavers are reluctant to bite unless you smash em. Symptoms are usually negligible or mild local pain, numbness and swelling, with redness and possibly blisters forming. Occasionally nausea and dizziness can occur after a bite. Any pain should go away within 24 hours. :) but i would freak holding em anyway

  • Show some respect for these spiders, They eat other bugs that are considered pets like mosquitos, grasshoppers, and any other annoyance that flys or hops around. Bear in mind there just as afraid of you as you are of them. Imagine a giant sky scraper sized animal pokeing at you what would you do? Be nice and theyll be nice back, its a value of what us adults call respect.

  • I would DIE! O.O

  • those spiders are so freaking cool.

    You sir, have balls.

  • i like him.

  • thats a garden spider ....

  • This song is shit

  • EEWWWWAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

  • ILL SHOOT THAT THING WITH MY AIR SOFT GUN

  • @panson808 Woohoo. You're bad.

  • Jumping spiders are the best. all other spiders can just burn in hell in my opinion.

  • 6 women watched this beautiful footage [so far] :)

  • I had one living on my backyard fence last year. Huge and amazing spiders with AMAZING web structure... I sure wish i could get it to get on my hand... but I'm too scared of them fangs LOL

  • if i had a spider in my hand...oh my god...

  • the music made the spider seem so cute :_) and then i read the description about how the spider will die soon and it got really sad.

  • Smash it.

  • how can you let that crawl on you i had 1 in my garden

  • I'm amazed at how docile she was. You can also tell that moving around isn't all that normal for her. We used to have those near our house and after watching them wrap and kill grasshoppers, I never thought for an instant one would tolerate that kind of treatment.

I've had jumping spiders drink from my hand, but those are only ones I'll try to handle. Childhood trauma FTL.

What did you film it with?

  • fuck that

  • Unfortunately when you post something on Youtube you are going to get idiots. The video is amazing and really shows the the detail of the spider and how it moves. This was nice for those of us fascinated by spiders but would never in a million years let it crawl on us. I love your watch by the way!

  • you cant afford a new watch, but you can afford an HD camera? wtf

  • isn't this spider poisnned guys i need an answear plllz

  • I had one just like her. She died a few weeks ago.. I miss her so much :'(

  • Im in that part of youtube again. SHIT.

  • It's so pretty and kinda cute. :)

    ...

    NOOO.

  • do these spiders bite?

  • Comment removed

  • That is absolutely admiringly beautiful. It reminds me of Scarlet from Scarlet's Web.

  • i caught one of these a little while back.... i wanted to kill it because i hate spiders, but i researched it, and i gained a whole new respect for it. so i let it go in my garden, as terrified as i was, and as freaky as it looks, it felt like i did a good thing :)

  • She's so pretty!!!

  • Can no one tell this is fake?

  • wow... id freak the fuck out.

  • WHAT I JUST READ THE DISCREPTION. I GOT 2 OF THESE AS PETS I FEED ON MY WINDOW SILL.....NOOOO I DONT WANT THEM TO DIE

  • @xNeoxGodx they are very pretty arent they

  • thats not even an orb weaver....its just a black and yellow orb weaver

  • his front legs look like theyre struggling XD crawling on its knees..=p

  • Get rid of that horrifying beast, and look there's a spider.

  • Get rid of that disgusting shit on your wrist, and look there's a spider.

  • I found the watch duct-taped to be pretty endearing :)

  • I love your video, and your spider. While not a spider fan by any means, I have fallen for an Argiope that has taken up residence outside one of my breakfast nook areas, and sometimes I just watch her for hours.

    MM - Raleigh, NC

  • man that's a pretty spider

I don't understand how someone can look at that and think "fear"

    IT CAN'T EVEN HURT YOU

if it bit you it you'd be like "oh what was that? a mosquito?" and it wouldn't unless you provoked it for a good amount of time...even black widows take some coaxing before they'll bite you

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

    ^Let me explain.

I'm an arachnophobe. It was okay seeing the spider on its web. I thought it was actually kinda pretty.

And then you let it touch you, consequentially ruining the next three minutes and fifty nine seconds.

    I'm still shaking. ._.

  • now clap your hand

  • @hydralisk90 That part was rather heartwarming to me... :-)

  • film one of you getting bitten!!!

  • beneficial spider that has no aggressive tendencies.just wants to be left alone, and will never harm a human.may look monstrous but is a very placid arachnid.worry more about the black or brown widows, and the brown recluse.i work in the pest control industry, and as much as spiders may look unpleasant they can be very beneficial to reducing the insect population around your home.SO THERE.lol

  • beneficial spider that has no aggressive tendencies.just wants to be left alone, and will never harm a human.may look monstrous but is a very placid arachnid.

  • It's cute <3

  • Black and Yellow Black and Yellow Black and Yellow Black and Yellow

  • they have too much leg for their own good

  • *SCREAMES* WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO BE IN THE SAME COUNTRY AS THAT THING!!

  • Description: "She probably won't live much longer."

    *spider bites*

SCREW YOU, YOU FREAKING SPIDER!!! I won't LET you live longer!!!

  • is that animated?

  • now blow on it see if it reacts

  • @Si3z3 their harmless tho lol

  • @aznredragon629 i still would not want to piss it off tho it may have friends

  • @Si3z3 if that happens.. call... bear gyrlls... lol

  • @aznredragon629 hed shit himself and then call the national gaurd

  • @Si3z3 LIES hed eat it.

  • She is so pretty!

  • is that thing real?

  • All right, what did you name her?

Are you wearing a wrist computer because it reminds me of a Suunto model?

Your mindset is at harmony with nature.

  • I just smooosed one of those in my yard...

  • brother..u can grab a watch for like 2 dollars nowadays. nice vid btw

  • If I was that spider, I would bite you just for being too cheap to buy an actual watch band. Duck tape, really?

  • @cichlid62 - Ha - Alright, alright! Just to put to rest all these watch comments - let it be know that I'm now the proud owner of a handsome and duct-tape free Casio F91W.

Not sure what I was thinking or not thinking with that monstrosity of a watch up there...

  • @terser lmao awesome

  • @cichlid62 -________- ...Did you really just comment about his watch? Really?

  • @TheDnGProductions Really.

  • @cichlid62 It's because he's a hipster.

  • MR360GAMES!!!!

  • That's the only spider I've seen that I wouldn't kill on the spot. She's beautiful and as long as she doesn't bite that's cool.

  • Jajajaja, NICE WATCH !!!!

  • These shit's used to be all over the place here in MO but now I never see them... Can't say I'm too upset about that either... SICK!!

  • your balls are bigger than mine.. i can already tell..

  • nice watch ;D

  • There was a really beautiful one camped outside of a sword shop at the Ohio Renaissance Festival this weekend. I was playing with it. :)

  • those spiders are the best!!!

  • you are very brave

  • luks like tht spider boss on lost planet 2

  • I have one of these hanging out outside of my house. I'm debating on whether to kill it or let it hang out.

  • @Wes919 Let her hang out. They're harmless, and every evening, they make a new web. It's wonderful to watch! When I was a kid, a large barn spider of some sort built her web in the back door way leading to out back porch. It took up the top 1/4 of the door way, but we liked having her catch moths and bugs that would normally fly into our house in the summer evenings. We named her Eliza.

  • Omg I got so scared when I saw a video of this spider near a guys house he was filming it, then I see this and see it's a safe spider and doesn't bite.. so I would leave it alone if I ever saw one near my house or something. You should mail the spider somewhere somewhere warm, like florida.. I bet it'd be so happy there.

  • its like againt puppy dog!

  • is it considered arachnophobia if i automatically get goosebumps watching this video?

  • Is his watch duct-taped together? Really?

  • I would LOVE to have something like THIS sneak in my home, rather than the all too common appearances of Hobo Spiders. Found one under my pillow once. Will not forget that experience any time soon.

  • We have Black-and-Yellows in Massachusetts but I don't think I've seen one this big before. Spiders like this are great because they keep pesky insects at bay and add their own color to the flower garden.

  • why WHY WHY ARE YOU TOUCHING IT OMG

  • @ellevalso

Why are you freaking out? Nearly all spiders are completely harmless.

  • @deadballo The thought of a spider walking on someone is disgusting lol i dont care if they're harmless

  • omg that dude is brave

  • I smashed the shit out of one of these outside on my front porch today.

  • Got one of these at the edge of our patio at work. She is huge (well, for Minnesota anyways; females are 19-28 mm on the body).

I think the music helps me from running away screaming bloody murder. Thing is probably a bit freaked out as well. Thanks for posting.

  • Awh! How's sweet is that!! 

  • How pretty!

Living in AZ, the only spiders I've seen have been sun spiders, cellar spiders, jumping spiders, and the occasional tarantula, but never anything this beautiful <3

  • AAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

  • I've seen many kinds of deaths, but of them all, I think a spider's is so very agonizing.

  • omg do not touch these things!

  • @veeeds why? orb weavers are non aggressive towards humans. they just look "scary" but will bite you if you piss them off.

  • @veeeds Because... you say so? And this is because....?

  • Charlotte stopped. A moment later a tear came to Wilbur’s eye. “Oh, Charlotte,” he said. “To think that when I first met you I thought you were cruel and bloodthirsty!”

When he recovered from his emotion, he spoke again.

“Why did you do all this for me?” he asked. “I don’t deserve it. I’ve never done anything for you.”

“You have been my friend,” replied Charlotte. “That in itself is a tremendous thing."

  • @Cavatica It was like she was his "Charlotte"! (Wipes away tear...) :.-)

  • Too bad you had to burn your hand off

  • Not "poisonous", its venomous. But the venom is of no major harm to humans.

  • beautiful spider

  • :O why would u even go near it ?!?!?! omgggg id flip out :D

  • get off this monster O__O

  • I have one in my backyard! Amazing creature! Great video of one!

  • this is a beautiful video for a lot of reasons, thank you terser

  • fuck i dont even have the guts to touch those

  • I love insects but there are just some that make my skin crawl... this would be one.

  • @OneFabFisher It wouldn't, actually, since spiders aren't insects.

    Just sayin'. :P

  • @Cavatica ur right! But still....

  • GREAT#1 WEAVER SPIDERS jjdbeagles

  • I was commenting with another YTer saying he needed to have more of those spiders in his garden to curb the amount of insects ravaging his garden.

  • AWWWWH!!! You're holding her??! And she didn't bite you??!! How sweet! (:

  • Little yellow spider laughing at the snow... Devendra anyone?

  • i just found one of these on my door and i was holding it to.

  • Craziest person in the world...

  • ur crazy id never hold it

  • @Death4Justice there 99.9 not poiseniss there harmless! but when or id u get bit its just lyk a maskito bite! its a little swollen and itchy then it goes away =-) i did that research on google lol....cuz we found one at my house and i wanted to c if or how poiseniss it was but its all good...im still on ur side NEVER GONNA HOLD ONE!

  • Very Pretty

  • suck his blood to survive!

  • I freaking love your simplicity; You have a broken clock and love insects, you really know how apreciate all little things in live, the beauty of nature and you dont care with material stuff... We need more people like you in the world.

  • Scary D: What if it bit you D:

  • @forgottenmaz Ah, not very... This spiders aren't dangerous for us, and they aren't aggressive. You can do the same thing without great difficulty: keep your hands open and move slowly, don't tighten the spider between your fingers...

  • @orionintelligence uouhouhouhouh still freaky XD

  • Comment removed

  • balls of steel

  • Are Nephilia this docile? Argiopes are kinda rare around here, but the equally impressive Nephilia are quite common in SW Georgia.

  • @Scioneer Nephilia is bigger than this, usually not aggressive like Argiope class, but the venom of Nephilia class is dangerous, not lethal but strong. Nephilia spiders are not aggressive, but they can be umpredictable: be careful in handling, or if you don't fell safe, don't try.

  • @orionintelligence

From what I've read Nephilia Clavipes' , the ones we have around here, bite is no worse than a bee sting. Still, don't want to get bit by one because it is painful. I mostly handle Jumpers myself. This is the first time I've seen someone handle one of these beast.

  • Yeah, she was near the end of her life, she seemed to struggle to keep walking at times. While these are web-dwellers, they are pretty capable walkers when outside the web, unlike some web dwellers.

  • I have to admit. orb spiders freak me out.

  • i loooooove feeding these spiders !!

  • EWW!!! I would NEVER hold a spider. Period. Never not even for a million dollars. Just ew ew and ewwwww!!!! You have guts to hold one o.O

  • what kind of recorder are you using? thats a very nice micro recording!

  • this is cgi

  • She was a really pretty animal :)

  • Cutie =)

  • id be scared if i saw that shit on me!

  • I love shooting those with a .22lr

  • @wormydog1724

What the fuck is wrong with you?

  • @insurgentdude Nothing. What is right with you?

  • I'm drinking tea and now I think there's a spider in my cup now.

    And uh... Nice watch...

  • nice watch

  • beeee,my god , STFY ,brrrrrrr

  • It actually makes me have more empathy for spiders. It's all amazed byt he texture f his hand, gently feeling it and exploring timidly, like was is this hairless warm thing?

  • she's so cute :)

  • Your gonna be spider-man

  • what song is this

  • i love that spider
