@SupaKillah666 Actually, Metroid Prime is dead. You can say that it is reborn, but its an entirely different being that most likely has no memory of Samus, only the desire for phazon. When Metroid Prime was dying, it took the phazon suit. Phazon is an unstable substance with amazing qualities. The phazon suit itself became mutated into a living being, which becomes Dark Samus. You can see Dark Samus without her suit, and she has a deep resemblance to Metroid Prime essence.

@claygate42 No. Metroid Prime personally wanted to murder Samus by any means available, Metroid Prime had mutated to the point of a bipedal humanoid form after absorbing the phazon suit. Pahzon itself is a sentient living organism with a parasitic nature to use other planets to spread its influence, Metroid Prime was extremely mutated due to Phazon for many years, yet it was still destroyed by a human with the genes of a chozo and a metroid.

@FPG8889 Yeah, I have all of them (you need to get all 4 Charge Combos to get 100% as well), but I didn't use the Flamethrower because I personally don't think it does very well against Metroid Prime.

@ACDCGAMER The Flamethrower is never used in the game because it has no effect at all. The producers only put it there so the Plasma Beam can be like the other beams with their missile combos. It's pretty much useless.

Some of you people might not know, but "Dark Samus" is really Metroid Prime. In the end of the video is shows that Metroid Prime absorbs one of Samus' suit uprades. Which becomes Dark Samus because of the phazon infused with Samus' suit.

@Deisy5086 Samus receives a distress signal coming from the Space Pirate ship, so she investigates and finds out they were performing experiments. After fighting the Parasite Queen, she escapes the self-destructing ship and discovers Ridley, who flies off to Tallon IV. She chases after him, only to discover the planet is corrupted with Phazon and uncovers the Space Pirate's secret operations on the planet. Her main goal is to purge the planet of the corruption and defeat the pirates.

I just can't beat this damn boss at all. I can get the health down to like 1/4 of the way down but when the other little metroids and shit start attacking me and having to change the view modes and dodge attacks...I just get my ass kicked. It's really starting to piss me the fuck off.

@JerryTerrifying The Metroids? Just lay a Power Bomb and they die instantly. The Phazon Beam kills them instantly as well.

@ACDCGAMER I didn't have any of the upgrades for the Power Bomb. So I sucked it up and did some back tracking. Got an upgrade fo the Power Bomb, a couple missile expansions and the Ice Spreader and beat Metroid Prime the first time I tried after that haha.

I think the Ice Spreader and Missile Expansions helped the most. Metroid Prime had been doing the most damage to me in the first phase of the fight when it was in ice mode.

Christ this game is fucking terrific! Let me tell you, as it being my first, first-person shooter, I absolutely loved it. When I saw Samus' face at the end, the game was ruined. All jokes aside, it's definitely the best out of the trilogy, and I strongly recommend to any fans of the 2D Metroid games.

The Metroid games (even the Prime games) are primarily adventure games, while Halo has been a straightforward action-focused first-person shooter; Metroid Prime does indeed have significant FPS elements in it, but it's primarily focused on exploration and collecting stuff at the same time, therefore making it an adventure game.

Just beat Metroid Prime on Trilogy yesterday. o.O

If I remember the scan thingie correctly, apparently Metroid Prime is a Metroid mutated by Phazon.

Metroid Prime was first discovered by the Space Pirates when they were mining phazon. It was just a massive metroid. They kept it in a stasis tank and performed mutations and fed it phazon. One day it broke out and was able to fuse all of the Space Pirate's weapons (including Samus's stolen beam technology) into itself, that's why it changes color.

If you've played MP3, you know that when a leviathan strikes, it plants a seed into the nearest organism. Metroid Prime happened to be that organism.

Oh, definitely. the GC version of Prime 1 is only like $5 at GameStop, while the GC version of Prime 2 is around $10-$15. However, if you haven't played any of the games, you're better off getting Metroid Prime Trilogy, which not only has all 3 games on one disc, but it gives the first two games Wii controls as well as other enhancements, all for just $50.

All 3 games rather than just Prime 3 support widescreen mode, the graphics look slightly better on Prime 1 and 2, and Prime 1 features bloom lighting. The first two games also have a medal system like the 3rd game.

Ice beam is the best for that battle because you can freeze the spawned metroids and destroy them with missiles.

Only one weapon can hurt Metroid Prime, and it is the Phazon Beam. See those little Phazon pools it generates? Step in that, and the Phazon Beam will activate. Aim at Metroid Prime and fire.

...what? I thought it was actually harder than 1, in a few ways. First, the Boost Guardian is essentially a brick wall if you don't have enough Energy Tanks, and two, the new features such as Beam ammunition make the game more challenging overall. But, an opinion is an opinion.
