I was actually deployed at Balad Air Force Base in Iraq a month before this video was shot, this video was shot from an MQ-1 Predator drone flying out of Balad AFB. i was a communications technician assigned to the the Recon Squadron there. Wow, sorry for your misfourtune. I was actually deployed at Balad Air Force Base in Iraq a month before this video was shot, this video was shot from an MQ-1 Predator drone flying out of Balad AFB. i was a communications technician assigned to the the Recon Squadron there. I've been working with the predator program for almost 5 years and seen alot of videos just like this. WAY underpaid for this shit. Thanks Preston for helping the troops over there.

Saddam was politically a strongman but economically the baath party was successful. They build a lot of the highways, hospitals and other infrastructure in the country. Those nations that were influencing him simply wanted the fanatical threat that is Islam kept under control. After this, Drivers were given firearms to defend themselves on their runs. It's pretty obvious that they needed that, because if you watch other videos of this, the Humvees just took off without them and told them to keep moving, even after the drivers told them that their trucks were stalled out and couldn't be started. I don't know the specifics, but the fact that the truck is on fire in this video leads me to think that the US forces were late on the scene. It's not on fire in other videos.

It's a bit more complicated than that, I'm afraid. Sure enough many Iraqi's were happy to be rid of Saddam Hussein. But since the removal of that horrible dictator, the lives of most normal Iraqi's have only deteriorated, and they are not happy at all.
