here's how the band fell apart. after first album steven was kicked out. then in 1991 izzy left either during or just before the use your illusions 1 and 2 tour. then in 1994 or 1995 the rest left with slash. gilbey who took izzy's place in 1991 went solo. i think gilbey is like an izzy copy. steven adler is or was in rehab. slash duff and matt are in vr. and izzy is solo.

I absolutely adore slash's guitars on this album bu not a fan of scott's voice, he is nowhere near as good as Axl and his melodies and lyrics are nowhere near as good either. If Slash had sent Axl the demos of these songs and had Axl had agreed to it and worked with it then this album could have been as good as appetite. In slash's autobiography he says izzy worked on contraband before its release and that it was sounding to be better than appetite. why couldnt izzy and axl just stay? best band.
