Ford License it's Hybrid Technology from Toyota. Otherwise Ford would be just another car company. Toyota has quietly moved into first Place in the Industry. And I'm not just talking about their hybrids.

Toyota may be the #1 car manufacturer, but forgetting about car companies, as a car the Ford Escape Hybrid seems good. Cheap and fuel efficient.

Ford made their hybrid tech independently but because of its similarities with the Prius system Ford decide to license the technology from Toyota.

The Highlander is a lot more heavy and only 28 mpg. The Escape is superior bumper to bumper with flex fuel and kinetic transfer power is the # 1.

The Highlander is also $7500 more expensive and less fuel efficient than the Ford.
