I love the Lown version. This version is great as well. I sing the Song "Tain't No Sin" from the film "Elstree Calling" at Karaoke, and no one in the States knows it! So I know what you mean. It's a pretty hot version too, with a good sweet Tenor Band arrangement.
A great spirited rendition! Better then Bert Lown's version. I love that jazzy section with the sax, after the first verse and chorus. Too bad the March Of Time was never released, but we do have parts in the various shorts.
Great find! I actually have a Swedish version of this song. I have never seen any proof of this number being filmed but it was sure intended for March Of Time. The March Of Time really is the holy grail of musicals! Thanks!
