Oh, there's no substitute for finally making physical contact with someone you care about. I think the biggest difference between online relationship and then meeting is the amplification and anchoring of the intimacy you may have found online. It's so nice to have it validated. The comfort level changes and nothing beats being able to hug each other, that's for sure.

meeting people in person makes a HUGE difference. But I agree that, even when you live with someone, you may not truly know them.
