I feel for Van and Jake in the sense that it must be hella creepy having a bunch of middle aged housewives constantly throwing themselves at you. I would just find that to be the most socially awkward thing ever. You can appreciate their work from a distance, and support them, but seriously, go home to your husbands and children and your lives. Being roughly their age, it must be weird having people your mother's age following you around.

I so agree with you! I've noticed that they have a lot of middle aged housewives as fans. I thought that they would have a lot of teenage girls, or maybe boys hanging around them. But there are most of the time 'old' ladies in the neighbourhood. I really don't understand it. They have a husband and children, why are they so obsessed by Van and Jake?

As for Jake , he knows Noah is a support character for Luke and is taking the backseat - though it would be interesting t to see them in separate storylines that have no connection to their characters relationship.

yea i totally agree. jake is sincere and genuine. he is a great actor, but he seems like a really good person too. Van is great too, but he is sorta ackward in some of the interviews. dunno why.

I think Van makes himself more open in interviews, and spastic sometimes. Jake seems more guarded and doesn't necessarily like his boundaries to be infringed on. Check the body language here even. And when some interviewers have been more intrusive, he pauses more and considers his responses. More controlled and careful.

thats understandable, but it must be hard for Jake being a straight guy having to relate to a homosexual relationship. Actor or not, its hard for him to have to do interviews with questions relating to the topics. I admire his openmindedness and his sincerity.

I completely agree. I mean, I'm gay, but I feel for the guy, because I sometimes think that the interviewer or fan relationship to him is sometimes an infringement on him, and when he's unable to engage as much as they might like, he's not paid attention to as much as Van. I believe he's been very cooperative and patient with the whole deal. At the same time, he's an ambitious young actor, and wants to have the benefit of the role without it being a liability to him as an actor.

I just think more people could relate to Van more, but i must admit, the fans are very gracious to both actors, which is great. I just hope in time, Jake may have his own fanbase aside from his dependance on Van and the nuke storyline. hes a great actor and deserves some credit now and then, besides the fact that he's amazingly cute;)

Seems to me that most actors stars have little idea of the impact they put on others beliefs by playing certain roles :gay characters.Than their eyes get opened up and they find themselves in a totally new world they olny heard about existing but could never really relate to it.Van and Jake are trully wonderful for caring over acting.:-)Thank you!!

aaw, I wish it woulda picked up sound better though. They are hilarious, they seem really close too. Van looked great in that tank, he has alot of muscle mass, as opposed to Jake who is muscular but skinnier so its not as big looking (though more toned looking) Wish I could have been that close to them =)

I don't think he was bored at all. We were all miserably hot standing out there in the blazing sun in 90 plus degree temperature (we'd been outside on the boat for a couple of hours by then) and we were all a little uncomfortable in the heat. From Van's comments, and some of the expressions he and Jake exchanged, I think he was very moved by the gift.
