  • I'd have to go read the label on the pump. I'll do that today and get back to you. It is a trash pump and my only complaint is that the lift isn't very good on the suction side. I have to sit the pump nearly level with my water source for it all to work well. I do believe it is 1.5 inch but I'll look and let you know for sure.

  • What size pump are you using? Would a 1.5 inch trash pump work?

  • i have ordered a g1,ended up costing $1080us,but i have an unused 2 1/2hp pump and hoses so nevermind.i have talked to a couple of old prospectors who have put me onto some hotspots so i should do alright.last season they told me to go to a spot, and no shit,i picked up a 61g nugget without moving my feet.(minelab sd2200).you may have heard me scream from there?best of luck and thanks again ,will post video of results.

  • Make sure you buy the original full size model as I have heard that the now offer a reduced sized model too. I think the larger surface area on the original is a highly significant aspect to it's efficiency. I just have to say that after using this thing I've become a fanatic about how well it works. I've blown a lot of money on some Keene and Jobe highbankers that this unit just blows away. No disrespect to Keene either, as they have probably the best customer service in the business.

  • thank you for your help.best of luck to you.

  • @daveannierd1

And good luck your way too. Its funny, but I couldn't find any info on this unit when I bought it. I did call the manufacturer up and we had a really great talk regarding it. I ordered it directly from him and crossed my fingers. It is definitely the best peice of equipment I've ever bought for gold prospecting. I also bought his S1 recovery system. It seems pretty good but I would have to say the jury is still out on it. Go ahead and get the G1. cont. above..

  • nice video guys.thinking of getting one of this sent over to new zealand,we have alot of black sand in our rivers, could you please tell me if the g1 would be alright or would the black sands make it useless.thanks.

  • @daveannierd1

To the contrary. It's in it's element with a lot of black sand. As the gold sinks into the riffles the black sand follows on top. Process more material, the additional gold settles as black sand is displaced. It really is a well designed unit. I've panned out a lot of black sand discharged (not trusting it all) and have found little to no gold lost with the black sand. This is truly a great sluice and I have zero interest in the co. or seller. You won't be disappointed.

  • Its still my favorite high-banker/ sluice.... The original mfg sold the rights off to an outfit in Calif. Hang in there, you won't be disappointed. The easy clean up is why we like it so much and also, we have test panned the heck out of the discharge and believe me.... this thing will not loose even fine gold when its set up right. Were right up here in NM.... T or C. Good luck on your prospecting...

  • Thanks guys I ordered one last week I hope they ship it soon and I wish they would answer emails. Nice demo. for the G1, Will do the same with mine. the easy clean up sold me. looking for Texas Gold.

  • haaha... a lot of clay in your shit eh? (grin) that must hurt like hell when you take a poop...hahaha... kidding.. great video guys.

  • @kimdaviscali I had to laugh a whole bunch the other day. Its been forever since I watched this video again and I finally got it...... you caught be fair and square... I've now changed my diet and it doesn't hurt to poop anymore...... good laughs kimdaviscali..... have fun and good luck..
