oh, I'm sure it operates up to design parameters ... its just not designed to do much except make a few bubbles for you, and a few bucks for the seller ... I have yet to see a commercial device outperform one made by a dedicated home experimenter ... but not everyone has the time, skils, tools or money to build it themselves ... and the type of hand crafted device an experimenter builds would cost thousands of dollars to sell ...
