  • lol nooo u know ur botton in your car that flips your head lights ..POP that out and CUT i think the brown wire turn your lights on press the button and they will go off and not downd dubble press the button to make them go down to your desired hight get out and make sure there lvl iv not pull the lower own up lightly by hand and done XD

  • must be a Marionette guy

  • im definetly gonna do this but put the switches inside along my electric fan switch

  • holy pixelated...

  • complete & utter shite (sorry) but what exactly was the point?

  • PART 2

but just unplug that fuse and rig up a switch to it and make it a inline fuse. you set the eyelids where you want them the normal way by taping the eyelid switch. then turn the switch off that u hooked to the fuse and turn your lights on. TA DA.

  • this is a really hard way to do it. there is a much easier way.

    PART 1

in your fuse box there is a fuse that is part of the circuit that makes ur headlights return to the upright position when turned on. even if u cut the brown wire in your eyelid switch. don't remember what fuse it is though. lol.

  • That helped sooooooooooooooo much

  • or you could do a silvia front end conversion.

  • Well I don't know about u guys but I have the brown wire just cut and connected to a switch then back to the button and I can do the sleepy eyes with my lights on or off

  • is there a special way to remove the relay or just yank it out? i just tried and it wasnt coming off, should i just yank that shit out or is there some certain way you should do it?

  • Yeah Swampfoxgolf after you cut that brown wire try to turn your lights on like he does and post what happens. You'll find out which version is retarded....

  • lol I dunno if the music is on there because they loved mexican culture. Which alot of japanese people do. They dress well they dress chicano...cholo style just type japan chicano you'll see...for this vid lolz I have no clue. Has nothing to do with lowriders hahahahaa

  • lmao, wats with the spanish music?? LOL

  • 240sx ftw

  • is that spanish musik..wtf is japenese a mexican now days

  • this is freaking retarded you just pop off your light button and cut the brown wire thats it

  • @swampfoxgolf and then what, manually turn it? that's fucking stupid.

  • @swampfoxgolf if you cut the brown wire you cant run with the Lights ON when you turn them on they go all the way up this is ment to put them in the sleepy eye even when running the headlights next time pay attention to shit before you start letting your fingers ramble garbage.....that is all back to your viewing

  • can i use 1 switch instead of 2?

  • What is the name of the relay that you wire it into?

I was working on it tonight before it got dark, cold and windy, but it didn't work right before i had to leave.

  • this is awesome totaly way better than the other mod

  • lol my first mod on my s13

  • Comment removed

  • just got a 240 how hard is this to do honestly and how long does it take

  • @xraidedlok not hard, 30mins maybe haha maybe shorter than that

  • japanese vid with mariachi music...maybe im missing the theme here

  • da japanese fell like mexican

  • pull out the head light flipper switch cut brown wire ... done!!!! 2 sec.

  • true!

  • so you take apart a relay?

  • love the backround music!

  • Muchos tacos

  • What did he say?

  • he says suck my willy

  • Ive got a genuine type x 180 and my fuses box is different for some reason so this doesnt work for me :(

  • hehehe awesome Video

  • Drift Heaven lol

  • The dude is Japanese.... he is speaking Japanese... but there's Mexican music....

    @_@...it blows my mind....@_@

  • @WillyLee23 hahaha your right

  • What the heck? Why do all that hack job when you just need to cut the brown wire from the flip up headlight switch. It's the same thing instead you aren't creating a new button... You're just using something you already have.

  • actually, this video is the right way to have sleepy eyes in your s13... you can also cut the brown wire of the flip up headlight switch but once you turn on your headlights, the sleepy eyes will be gone...

  • if your interested I did a video of this in english.

  • can someone tell me what the materials he used are called??

  • why is there mexican music?

  • LOL good call

  • i wired my 240 exactly the same way but one switch controls both going up and the other controls both going down... not exactly what I was hoping for but it works... *shrugs*

  • An easier way would be just to cut the brown wire behind the head light button inside the car then you can ether hold the button to make them rise all the way or tap it to rise them to the height you wish... EASIER THEN SHOCKING YOUR SELF

  • yea thats hthe best way. Thats how my 240sx is done, and its pretty damn convenient. Sleepys on the fly haha

  • Yep Surprisingly most people don't know that.

  • lmao

  • sweet i'm about to go do that!

  • Pretty cool. And very sweet S13, this was the best looking front ever, looks best if left stock.

  • this acualy woks guys i did this on my 92sx pertty legit if you dont wana pay like 80-100 bucks for the rotor if you know what i mean

  • This vid is SO JDM!!!

  • I did this on my 91' s13, and it worked great, however, i modified it to where I can have one switch instead of 2, (one switch moving both simontaniously). So now, when the switch is off, i turn on my headlights and they stay down, but on, then on/off/on/off raises them...so, the switch is off and the 240 has lit sleepy eyes, i go to turn off the lights so i can have unlit aswell (like in the video) and my headlights go all the way up, then close completely, and turn off. What did I do wrong!??

  • just pop up ur lights and pull the headlight motor fuse, then tap the button to make the lights go down and tap the fuse to its connections quickly reapeatidly till the lights are down where u want them, and just keep the fuse in the car, the only free way to do it.

  • you could cut the brown wire but then u cant have ur lights on while there in "sleepy mode"

  • Bad Ass Brother... wicked man wicked...

  • yeah you could just cut that wire but that's just some bootleg shit, all i spent was about 10 bucks for the toggle switches and wire. this shit really works =]

    thank you japanese guy!

  • viva el japones kon flamenkito...

  • cool...lets see some videos for proof...this is youtube by the way...i already checked your profile....let me know when....

  • this is stupid.. all you need to do is cut a wire in the stock system, and BOOM, you have sleepy eyes... no kit required..

  • thats ghetto and most of the time the eyes arent even ones always higher then the other this makes it so that there even looks better

  • done this mod it works great on my uk spec 200sx tho i cant operate one light at a time but does make both of them go into seepy mode and stay there well lights are on so im more or less happy with it :D

  • anyneed for the mariachi music :D

  • YESSSS!!! I dit it. it was one time try and got it right. this really works!!!!!

  • thats a good one bro...that car will still whoop ur 5oh though

  • its funny how its japanese with mariachi in tha background

  • yes!

    i did it,

    pretty easy to do it.

  • The steps on the video is correct, for those who are having difficult with jap lang theres an eng version. Just simply go to google - video - and type in as the title state, you should be able to see it.

    enjoy!

  • fuck! it fucked up my mother now my car is in sleepy mode all the time even tho the mod didnt work now i can lift up my lights i have to do em manually

    wtf this is shit

    !!noooooooo my 1800000000000!!!

  • shit didnt work wtf

  • woooo

    i did it!

    didnt even need translation.

    haha

    pretty easy

    allllllota wire.

  • I did the brown wire mod. Works great. I'm planning on 'upgrading' and doing this mod. I'd love for my lights to be on while I'm running in sleepy status.

After this mod, I'll wire the motors individually so that I can wink ;)

  • LOL

  • LMAO, wink mod, that's genius, I'll do that with my 240 ;D

  • dude you can make it wink just by pushing the headlight button a bunch of times over and over and over again.

  • I think this guy has a cold..

  • haha, wow that is pretty funny

  • japanese bro

  • the video's in japanese...

  • haha i did the brown wire, and it works fine. its pretty much saving yourself $80 bucks for the controller.

to do it without turning on the headlights, press the headlight button so that its in the in position and when they're up just double click the headlight button like you would a mouse, and viola! make sure you tape off the wire though, you dont want a ground or anything.

  • i waz going to do diz to my 240sx i bought the switches and everithing but before doing it i traid to turn the light on and i didnt need all this i could just do it like that ,,,i will be putting a vid soon

  • easier way. Pop off the switch that pop's the lights up when they are off and cut the brown wire. Double tap it and viola sleepy eyes in less than a minute

  • DO NOT CUT THE BROWN WIRE, UBER GHETTO!

  • I'm picking up my 91 240sx in 3 days. I might do this if i get bored. :D

  • some people like it maybe?

  • because it looks cool.

    -_____-

  • done it to my s13 240 and it looks great better than cutting the brown wire!

  • Theres simplier way. Just set the headlights the way to want it, then pull the fuse for the lights control on the driver's side box. 5A.

  • hey i got a 240sx...but i dont how 2 make it like the sleepy type...how do i make the...like how do i make it 2 stay like that wen i turn the first switch

  • can this be done for AE86 headlights?

  • open a book and get back to me...

  • where do u think the custom of playing trumpets and in that certain style came from.... typical mexican, its "typical" for dumbass to say dumb shit like that.

  • u can totally do that a different way by just cutting one wire. only thing is it wont light up. thanks to a friend of mine, just by cutting one wire, you can do sleepy eye, but the lights wont turn on while they're angled.

  • that defeates the purpose!

  • Can someone message me a link to do this?

  • lol

  • so is it just the instalation of a variable rheostat?

  • fuck you hick

  • Sorry dude, didn't mean to offend you. But what's a hick?

  • cant yah just cut the brown wire? thats what my friend did and it works

  • Since he's Japanese, he has stringent tests to pass twice a year, and this might have something to do with it.

  • I don't know why you need 2TOGGLE SWITCH. I ONLY need one for it to work. check out my video.

  • although i did it in the drivers side fuse box and i mounted a 30amp switch on the dash, look neat!

    xD

  • you dont even need to know japanese. just watch and follow

you need 2 SPST switches (single pole single throw)

Some wire and male and female connectors that will fit on the pins of the relay

  • and of course its the LIT sleepy eye, its looks really cool!

  • Hey guyz i got the info on how to make sleepy eyes in english, im gonna need your email since i cant post it all here....... its so easy i even have a diagram u can follow!

  • OMG..i didnt understand anything.i need to find a jap. guy to translate this video to me...:(

  • hhahaha .. that actually looks pretty cool .. besides the switches on the outside of the car .. i wonder if it is legal in the states ..lol .. just gotta find out how to do it to my mr2 ..

  • well the switches were on the outside of the car just to show a quick example. i wired mine under the dashboard. i dont see why it wouldn't be legal unless you tried doing it at night.

  • we cut the brown wire on my friends 240 and when he turns the lights on the lights go up we want them to stay down when he turns them on

  • So why would u even do this if u can do it for free by cutting the brown wire?...

  • why would you do it at all?

  • because it makes panties drop

  • this way you have total control and this way you can turn the lights on with the brown wire way you cant unless you take out the 5A fuse but when u take it out u dont have full control of lights they dont move this way they still function normal when switches are off

  • ....I have total control, I always have total conrtol haha. Seriously though, brown wire does the same thing as this if you know how to do it right, you don't have to take out a fuse or nothing. Takes 30 seconds to do it.

  • it doesn't work for some people. like the different ages on em or whetever

  • Cutting the brown wire is stupid unless you add some sort of a switch or relay setup. Dont cut the brown wire, trust me.

  • love the mexian music in the bg. reall professional.

  • help here...when i open that little box.....i didn't see anything like his 180sx.....

  • did you get the help you need???

  • that would be nice, Thanks

  • use 18-22 or 21 one of the two gauge. It works like a charm on my hatch

  • On the red wires do they have to be that short?

cause what if you want to have the controlls in your car.. do you get longer red wires?

  • no you dont have to you can make them as long as you want i have a step by step way if you want

  • all you have to do is follow the schimatics.. this was simple.. and it looks sick for night events

  • "I got an easier way for you guys...if you have an s13 pull out the light button on the left of the wheel and cut the brown wire. Then twist the stick like you would to turn on the lights and hit the button at the same time you can stop them anywhere you want by doing that its alot easier!"

    What he said.

  • what's with the mariachi music?? lol

  • I got an easier way for you guys...if you have an s13 pull out the light button on the left of the wheel and cut the brown wire. Then twist the stick like you would to turn on the lights and hit the button at the same time you can stop them anywhere you want by doing that its alot easier!

  • yeah but you can't turn the lights on... i mean sure that ways alright if you just want them to be sleepy. but it looks 1000x better with the lights actually being functional

  • Ya you can turn the lights on, you just got to do it a different way. First with the lights off and in the down position turn the switch for the lights and hit the button to the side at the same time. now you can stop it anywhere you want. So my way is functional and doesn't cost anything

  • I did this mod and it was easy and it looks great.

  • cant u record it how u do it in english. so we a little dumber can get it :P PLZ

  • I'm not very good at explaining stuff but give me a few days to get a hold of another digital camera and record it for yall.

  • thnx man..

  • I don't speak japanese!!!

    and my head hurts

    cool trick!

  • may be a stupid question but i'll ask it any ways

does this trick work for all cars with pop up lights?

  • wow i actually have this video. haha. its so old. but all you really need from the vid is that diagram.

  • please translate this :-(

  • ive done this, works like a charm. no brown wire crap

  • man im glad my girlfriend is japanese cuz she can understand every word he's sayin..the sleepy eye conversion looks good on my 240sx

  • are all the male and female connectors a universal size?

  • just look at the relay he takes out. the size of the pins are the size of connectors you'll need.. they usually sell larger ones at like checker auto or auto zone

  • does anyone know what those wires and switches may be called?

i would like to go to a parts store and ask for them, but i have no idea what to really ask for.

haha, i like how he stands in the engine bay.

  • the switches you will need are single-pull single-throw (SPST) switches.. and you will need some male and female crimp connectors. and maybe 20 feet of 10-12 guage wire

  • DO NOT REMOVE THIS ONE PLEASE

  • That looks hot!!
