@Crystalsnowdrops r u saying they talk too much? lol cause I'm a member there and didn't think I saw your video in the youtube thread.... well anyways, y'd you stop posting intp videos? I think your entertaining. ;)
Well, I suppose to be fair, it depends on what they're talking about. I've seen threads go on forever when they're speculating on how the theory of MBTI (and to some extent, cognitive function) can be further applied to different situations.
I think I'm pretty entertaining too. I might make another video. We'll see.
You made me laugh lol i dont have enough intp friends in my life. I do have an intp brother but he likes being distant, is that a sibling thing intps do?
Hm. Well, I don't know your brother very well, but I would suspect that in general, the more introverted a person is, the more they keep to themselves.
It's pretty tiring interacting with a person, especially in real life. And personally, I find it very difficult to talk about anything other than the topics that I am interested in.
I actually think that your face does clash with your voice because I was expecting like this softer voice that was kinda girly,at least that what your face tells me, but I think it's good to surprise people, it leaves them wondering what else is lying underneath you.

@Crystalsnowdrops You can view yourself as an entity, from a perception without an ego.
You can see the real-life (non human obfuscation) of your actions, and you can see how being so quite, firm, stubborn really makes people feel bad, and can change you.
@Crystalsnowdrops Lots of the other stuff is unexplainable, but you can also help solve emotional problems that you wouldn't normally be able to get out of you.. deep inside problems, it brings out anything you're holding back (so don't be a bitter person
@Crystalsnowdrops if a person wants to know themselves, all they need to do is apply certain methods of attention. It states with the idea that "I" is not a single "thing" but is a fragmentary aggregation of many separate "I's". This "I" has to be distinguished from a more essential "I". This is the process of forming a psychological "observing state". It's necessary to divide and discern the "observer" and the "observed". Then you will be well on your way of learning self without drugs. XD
Nah, I'm not going to take drugs. I don't need them.
I've actually spent far too long examining who I was and why I became the way I am today (though your advice is useful). There's a certain point in time where you gotta stop thinking about that stuff and figure out who you want to be and what you want to achieve. For me, who I am is based on who I think I will be. My actions today are both the result of my past and my expectancy of my future self.
@Crystalsnowdrops well then that's even better. Figuring out what one wants to be is useful. Just that what one wants to be is more of an imagination, not yet existing. The road to becoming what one wants to be, is made challenging due to the past. It's the past that always gets in the way or makes it difficult, which is why a person changes along the way. i think the future remains the same if the past does, because of attachments and stuff. either you are achieving something, or maybe not.
Heh. That's an interesting way of looking at it. I've never thought of the future as being the static: I guess if you think about it, everything that happens is a repeat of the past in some way. Perhaps it's my idealism talking here but I think that the road in becoming who you want to be is nothing compared to the amount of drive and creativity that one may hold within himself. A lot of success out there is the result from refusing to give up.
@Crystalsnowdrops i thought idealism was more of an NF attribute XD, im joking. well maybe, survival of the fittest is a factor in our society as to who becomes successful or not -- although some people just seem to have luck on their side and dont do much but get a lot. But perseverance is a great virtue and I dont think there are many stories of success without it... many of them have to overcome their past in someways to get to it often but that much often depends on where they are from.
haha yeah, don't we all need to overcome our past to make way for the future? Though...at the same time, if one knows how to use it, one could use his past to make way for the future.
@Crystalsnowdrops maybe the overcoming of a past makes it useful. Like lets say, I have a past of being discriminated. since then it causes me social anxiety around others. lets say through many efforts i overcome this social anxiety. Now I can use what I learned about it, in some way relevant to my future interactions with others
I think we all should overcome our past to get to the future, but some still live in the past for all their lives.
Thumbs up if u think her voice & her strand of hair that keeps getting in front of her face is cute : ) thx 4 making this vid! i commented on your other vid on sensors vs intuitives a few month ago, saw your face again & remembered your the girl with The Voice ; )
rofl at the introduction!! hahaha, OK, second thought, you are just hilarious. lolol No offence meant, but you're hilarious in this video!
I must repeat. You are hilarious. :D (in a good way!)
I used to correct myself a lot more, like you do here, but I've grown to be more confident with what I say, what I mean, and simply pausing to think when I'm not sure what to say. INTP!!! WOOO
@Crystalsnowdrops Yeah, the reason I said hilarious 3 times, is because I tend to type in my comments as I watch videos (so my response is accurate to how I felt at each moment in the video) And I just was laughing out loud multiple times. lol
But yeah, for me it's been like... understanding my own self more, and getting more and more fed up with others, who beat around the bush, are manipulative, indirect, dishonest, innacurate, people who report hearsay as if it was fact, etc.
"yea 14 minute mark". haha, great way to finish :D
INTP here, I also get bored of something after I understand its essence/core because then everything else is detail that stems from it and it's not so interesting anymore.
haha yeah- I usually stumble over my words and say things like, "Er, okay, yeah, lemme start over" 5 minutes into explaining something. >_> And, your friends must be super awesome then :D
your rant of the movie, lol, thats what I do with almost EVERY movie. My fiancee (ESFP) always wonders why I wont watch movies on NetFlix. My response "I already know its going to involve some elaborately stupid scene that is going to piss me off and make me want to strangle the writer." So i just stick to things like South Park, which, no matter how dumb it can be, the writers intended you to feel that way while watching it.
It's cool. I like it when girls talk less too. ...well, unless I find what they're talking about interesting. There's quite a few different Sherlock cartoons floating around. I've only watched one of them and I don't recall Watson being a robot there.
It's funny how deeply first impressions run, although you say that you have no social life, to the thousands who saw you here first, you'll forever be the girl with the infection smile ...better learn to live with it :-)
P.S. As an INFJ myself, it's adorable how you laugh at you own jokes. Inspiring of Fe overload I suppose.
I'm an INTP as well... I just wanted to let you know that when you actually started opening up around 1:18 and SMILING your personality shined for me :-)
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the more you open up and challenge yourself without fighting it (seemingly) so much--you'll be doing yourself a lot favors... you have a great smile! RELEASE IT!
Although I fit into INTP profile (having taken the MTBI questionnaire and scoring as an InTp), I find Jungian typology inconsistent with my world-view. Muddy definitions, preconceived assumptions, and a lot of unnecessary Freudian baggage, all wrapped in psychobabble. It doesn't matter whether the base premises hold together, as long as the result gives people a sense of belonging (a horoscope, anyone?). Ideas which aren't falsifiable nor have any predictive power, as several studies confirm.
@Crystalsnowdrops Thanks for your suggestion, but I have to decline, having read it already along with several mismatched alternatives over the Internet. Repetition would most likely be as fruitless as the first attempt.
I think you are so amazing!!! I love your answers. They are so sincere and hilarious at the same time. You've got a great sense of humor. And I understand as well. I am always changing like you, and of course, those changed being seen only to myself. :)
I know!! Watson didn't die which he logical should have. Once I saw that second explosion, I just marked him dead on my list because Im 90% sure that he was knocked out by the first blast.
@Crystalsnowdrops Yeah that's correct, and by slacker I mean by my standards, which are probably higher than others if you know what I mean. The problem is that I'm right on the line of judging and perceiving when I take tests, so I still don't know my whether I"m an INTJ, or an INTP. I loved your video though; it had me rolling with laughter.
Since there isn't very much room here on youtube messages, it would be easier for me to see whether if you're an INTP/INTJ if you headed over to the personality forum that's linked in my descriptions. All you'd need to do is sign up, create five posts to get into The Observatory Subforum, create a thread answering yourself, and anyone in the forum can help you figure out your type- if you choose to sign up, I'm the user named calysco. :D
I do agree- one should say just enough to convey their message..although I do think that some people honestly enjoy small talk (although I find it to be bothersome with people who I'm not interested in). A bit strange to me but ah well. *shrug*
In my opinion, from my own experiences, typology is a bit of a corruption of Jung's intended meaning and is misused by inexperienced people in search of their identities(and with too much time on their hands). I got a degree in psychology because of typology, but the most liberating feeling was finally realizing that it is all an illusion. You seem like a sweet girl, but in my humble opinion you may want to calm down and practice self-observation. Helped me a lot.
That is exactly what I do! :D I observe myself all the time! I view INTP more as an additional factor to help me understand myself as opposed to being the strict definition of who I am- I am, however, curious at what you mean by "typology is a bit of a corruption of Jung's intended meaning." Could you explain that further?
@Crystalsnowdrops I'd say the most important thing to understand is how deeply Jung was influenced by Immanuel Kant. Much of the original descriptions of functions can be found in Kant's Critique of Pure Reason. Most "licensed" typologists know nothing about that fact. Jung was describing something much more profound, but people only see the superficial surface and they intellectualize it and correlate it with other systems and drown in meaningless theories. The problems run very deep.
That's sounds pretty cool- I'll read that very shortly right after I take a nap. I'm curious though, what do you think of the following article on cognitive functions? (Unfortunately, since youtube isn't allowing me to copy and paste links, just sub in a period at the [dot]: personalitynation[dot]com/jungian-cognitive-functions/1708-jcf-defined-c-g-jung.html
@Crystalsnowdrops Good luck with reading Kant. That isn't exactly light reading and as a matter of fact I am still tackling it! Thank you for the link. I read that article and was impressed because it is so uncommon to find someone who accurately defines the I/E dichotomy(99.99% don't seem to be able to). Some things about the article were mechanical and theory was stated like fact in some areas, but I still enjoyed it so thank you cutie :)
What do you know about Jung's theory which isn't already stated on that article? I'm rather curious to see the correct interpretation of his work since I have a high interest in learning his material- if you have the time, would you be able to create an account on the site and write an article of your own? Of course, I also realize that this is asking quite a bit so if you don't have the time to do so, that's all right as well.
@Crystalsnowdrops I avoid forums for personal reasons, but will consider it. I'll meditate on it and get back to you :) Of course, if you have any specific questions that are nagging you I will be glad to answer them if I can, just PM me your e-mail.
Well, the reason why I ask is actually not for myself, but rather for the whole of the forum. I view it as an important task to bring the best of information to them so common misconceptions like, "I'm an INFP because I have deep emotions!" can be countered by articles.
@Crystalsnowdrops I understand. I will consider writing an article for your forum. The problem is that I am not really a proponent of typology the way it is commonly used, so most people would not be happy with what I would have to say.
The problem with that statement is that even if you were a proponent of typology the way it is commonly used, most people probably wouldn't be happy with what you had to say anyway. :P For example, when this article was written (not on this forum but on another forum), there were A LOT of people who were pissed off: personalitynation[dot]com/jungian-cognitive-functions/485-public-service-announcement-five-common-functional-misconceptions.html
Ah- it's cool if you don't want to write an article. I realize that it does take a lot of effort to do so- especially at the expense of your time. Thanks for the suggestion though.
@Crystalsnowdrops The reason I suggest gnosis is that Jung studied gnosis deeply, and much of his work centers around it. so if you want to come remotely close to understanding were he was coming from it may be good to familiarize yourself with the topic. Of course, if you are destined for those studies it will happen naturally. I am just pointing you in the right direction. In the meantime, I am still considering writing an article for your forum as I see you mean well and I like helping.
@F8Z5A36Z Here is a warning from a former philosophy student. DO NOT ADOPT KANTIAN ETHICS! Grundelgung etal should be burned! It is a waste of your youth. You only have so many years of sexual activity before your dick shrivels or your pussy dries up. Do not piss them away on deontology. As an INTP I used to like to try out theories. Here's one for you all: Death to the weak, life to the strong. All of nature spells it out. Take care of your mind AND your body and pass along your genes.
Ah, that's right. I read the first few manga books on Death Note but I ended up getting irritated at the cliffhangers so I stopped. I heard from friends that it's pretty awesome though. Yeah- check out FairyTail (made by the author of One Piece) and Reborn if you haven't checked that out already. They're both very touching (in the comradeship way) and very entertaining.
never heard about cliffhangers, now i know why i watched the anime + movies in less than 1 week XD
that anxious we get watching, i believe g is the best ^^
reborn i know a little, and i want watch FT in the future, actually i just got bored about so many shonen-type-anime - like u said, in about 5 years i will watch some new-shonen-anime again XD
but FT is in the top folowed by Gantz
I like many drama/psychological themes, like SEL, Boggiepop Phanton, ergo proxy, etc =)
Ah- cliffhangers is a term which describes the end of the episode where the viewers has no idea what's going to happen next and the announcer in the background says something like, "WHAT WILL HAPPEN?! Watch the next episode in order to find out!!!" I have no patience for those- when I want to find out something, I want to find out at that moment. :P
By DN, do you mean D.N. Angel, DNA^2, or some other anime? I haven't been watching anime since episode like 375 of Naruto and like manga chapter 415 of FairyTail. The acronym is too vague :(
@Crystalsnowdrops Yeah, you can buy me 26 tacos at the same time. I laughed when you said you were going to stop at 10 minutes... You're exactly like me when it comes to movies. When something doesn't make sense, I go on a rant about why it's so illogical and usually drive everyone else who's watching nuts. But that illogical scene just lingers in your mind and you refuse to enjoy anything after that simply because of that one scene. Haha sometimes it sucks to be INTP.
Ah, that's our wikipedia! Youtube comments isn't letting me copy and paste links right now so I'll link it in the descriptions of this video. It'll be at the very bottom of the descriptions.
I've heard discussions involving MBTI and Enneagram before but I don't remember seeing anything on functions/socionics/enneagram before. Maybe you can create the thread. :D
You can check out the basic articles on the slider of the main page- I think they're very good ones that do a good job in explaining functions.
Thanks for the music recommendations btw, i'll check it out soon.
Dear Calysco, If you are interested in a little bit of everything and jump around from subject to subject, you might be interested in reading Goethe's"Conversations with Eckermann". The greatest German writer talks about all sorts of things. Nieztsche said it was one of the best books in the world. It has been translated into English.
The English counterpart to this book is Boswell's "Life of Samuel Johnson". SJ talks about all sorts of things.
Sorry, dude. But I'm not very interested in small talk- perhaps if you wish to talk about daily life and interests, you could talk to others on the forum?

Dear Calysco, Just to say thank you for having the courage (recklessness?) to have made your video. Also thank you for informing me about "personality nation". I did not know it existed. You and other intp's who have made videos of themselves have made me feel less alone. I know what it means to just eat, sleep, and study, usually with a job thrown in to pay the bills. I always feel at home at a library. You probably feel the same way? Have a joyful, merry Christmas
LOL. I was seriously considering editing out that part. I thought that was rather embarrassing that I couldn't keep my composure. Since the beginning of the video up to that point, I wanted to burst out laughing and was holding it in but I guess I ended up failing to do so anyway. >__>
See how when I didn't use words like cute, hot, and pretty, and instead used a symbol of appreciation, the compliment was easier to accept? Mohaha. Since I'm Type Six myself, I know how to sneak in compliments ^__^
To save money on videos, I rent them from the local library. The main Long Beach public library has every single Shakespeare play on dvd or video. By this means, I have seen every single one of his plays. This was quite an education for little money. There is the Thru The Bible Radio show where Pastor J. Vernon McGee explains every verse of all 66 books in five years cycles, and it is free-- a good deal even if you disagree with him. Logical contradictions in art forms bug me too.
You have a beautiful stagename--Crystal Snow Drops. Anyway, frugality in women is usually considered a virtue. In men, frugality is sort of considered a vice. If it were not for youtube, I do not think I would ever socialize with another intp. We are just so rare and then we are scattered across a large country. My specialties are art and art history. What are yours? Do you like puns and are you sensitive to noise?
Thank you for your attention. Have a nice weekend.
Thanks for the compliment- however, the username that I created was back in middle school as a complete joke. I was tired of seeing usernames like ~*CutieGurlie*~ and decided to create a username that mimicked that sort of thing.
I suppose that's true although I wouldn't say it's absolutely a positive trait in females. I don't care either way.
I have no specialties, unfortunately. And if I do, clearly I am not aware of them. Puns = 4/10, Sensitivity to noise = depends.
"Once you know the essence of something, you'll be able to understand everything else stemming from that" Very profound. I'm an INFP, but if I could choose my type, I'd choose INTP.

Eh? What do you mean? Did you initially think that you were an INTP and after watching my video, you now think you're a slacker INTJ?
Crystalsnowdrops 1 year ago
@Crystalsnowdrops Yeah that's correct, and by slacker I mean by my standards, which are probably higher than others if you know what I mean. The problem is that I'm right on the line of judging and perceiving when I take tests, so I still don't know my whether I"m an INTJ, or an INTP. I loved your video though; it had me rolling with laughter.
virtuosoikingpin 1 year ago
@virtuosoikingpin
Since there isn't very much room here on youtube messages, it would be easier for me to see whether if you're an INTP/INTJ if you headed over to the personality forum that's linked in my descriptions.
F8Z5A36Z 1 year ago
@F8Z5A36Z
That is exactly what I do! :D I observe myself all the time! I view INTP more as an additional factor to help me understand myself as opposed to being the strict definition of who I am- I am, however, curious at what you mean by "typology is a bit of a corruption of Jung's intended meaning." Could you explain that further?
Crystalsnowdrops 1 year ago
@Crystalsnowdrops I'd say the most important thing to understand is how deeply Jung was influenced by Immanuel Kant. Much of the original descriptions of functions can be found in Kant's Critique of Pure Reason. Most "licensed" typologists know nothing about that fact. Jung was describing something much more profound, but people only see the superficial surface and they intellectualize it and correlate it with other systems and drown in meaningless theories. The problems run very deep.
F8Z5A36Z 1 year ago
@F8Z5A36Z
Crystalsnowdrops 1 year ago
@Crystalsnowdrops Good luck with reading Kant. That isn't exactly light reading and as a matter of fact I am still tackling it! Thank you for the link. I read that article and was impressed because it is so uncommon to find someone who accurately defines the I/E dichotomy(99.99% don't seem to be able to). Some things about the article were mechanical and theory was stated like fact in some areas, but I still enjoyed it so thank you cutie :)
F8Z5A36Z 1 year ago
@F8Z5A36Z
Crystalsnowdrops 1 year ago
@Crystalsnowdrops I avoid forums for personal reasons, but will consider it. I'll meditate on it and get back to you :) Of course, if you have any specific questions that are nagging you I will be glad to answer them if I can, just PM me your e-mail.
F8Z5A36Z 1 year ago
@F8Z5A36Z
Well, the reason why I ask is actually not for myself, but rather for the whole of the forum. I view it as an important task to bring the best of information to them so common misconceptions like, "I'm an INFP because I have deep emotions!" can be countered by articles.
Crystalsnowdrops 1 year ago
@Crystalsnowdrops I understand. I will consider writing an article for your forum. The problem is that I am not really a proponent of typology the way it is commonly used, so most people would not be happy with what I would have to say.
F8Z5A36Z 1 year ago
@F8Z5A36Z

@Crystalsnowdrops You should study Gnosis then :)
F8Z5A36Z 1 year ago
@F8Z5A36Z
Ah- it's cool if you don't want to write an article. I realize that it does take a lot of effort to do so- especially at the expense of your time. Thanks for the suggestion though.
Crystalsnowdrops 1 year ago
@Crystalsnowdrops The reason I suggest gnosis is that Jung studied gnosis deeply, and much of his work centers around it. so if you want to come remotely close to understanding were he was coming from it may be good to familiarize yourself with the topic. Of course, if you are destined for those studies it will happen naturally. I am just pointing you in the right direction. In the meantime, I am still considering writing an article for your forum as I see you mean well and I like helping.
F8Z5A36Z 1 year ago
@F8Z5A36Z Here is a warning from a former philosophy student. DO NOT ADOPT KANTIAN ETHICS! Grundelgung etal should be burned! It is a waste of your youth. You only have so many years of sexual activity before your dick shrivels or your pussy dries up. Do not piss them away on deontology. As an INTP I used to like to try out theories. Here's one for you all: Death to the weak, life to the strong. All of nature spells it out. Take care of your mind AND your body and pass along your genes.

Ah- cliffhangers is a term which describes the end of the episode where the viewers has no idea what's going to happen next and the announcer in the background says something like, "WHAT WILL HAPPEN?!

Dear Calysco, If you are interested in a little bit of everything and jump around from subject to subject, you might be interested in reading Goethe's"Conversations with Eckermann". The English counterpart to this book is Boswell's "Life of Samuel Johnson". SJ talks about all sorts of things.
