I like this movie. But I do not think that Mark Harmel could play Joker's role coz he seems good for "voice-overs" in animations. Are you going to do "The Empire strikes Back" review? Soon, (maybe....)
I agree with aspects of your review, but disagree with your ultimate take on the film. I found it disappointing. It went on too long and the plot felt too convoluted. Moreover, Christian Bale's Batman voice made me giggle (he sounded like he swallowed Harvey Fierstein when he was suffering from a head cold). Heath Ledger was really good, but I missed a lot of the aspects from the character that were omitted to make the film (*ahem*) "realistic".
Lets see:
- Two-face is nothing more but Harvey with a burned face. Nothnig more.
- The Batsuit is became tighter because Bruce could move his neck around, and it's weight became lighter this way.
- Fear is something even criminals like Maroni can get thow. He says to Batman: criminals in Gotham know his act: he got rules, unlike Joker.

I understand your POV.
The film is in a lot of ways a slightly different three hour episode of B:TAS with the Joker and Two-Face.
