  • I saw on dpreview that this camera is extremely bad at panning especially when zooming at the same time. The image looked very warped like a fish eye effect. Do you find this when you pan?

  • Nice work, can you imagine if you'd hacked the camera, even better footage. The hacked GH2 is amazing and rivals footage from $10k cameras, really (low light excluded :)) I have sold my 7D to get one of these buggers.

  • I love this camera , myself I use old Zuiko lenses ( made in 1970) only for few pounds on ebay and they work beautifully ... Check my videos at bestfooduk , cheers

  • considering lots of camera's as a videographer and this footage sealed my decision to by the gh2! Outstanding footage my friend, hats off!! What an amazing camera!

  • at 2:56 Gopro HD Hero camera mounted on windshield, all these shot using Gopro?

  • Love this camera and wish I could go to all these places and shoot!

  • A great deal of these shots has too much camera shake in my opinion, but overall a beautiful film with many exciting scenes :)

  • What software did you use in editing this video? Great images!

  • How did you get the underwater shots, what was used?

  • Great video keep up the good work.

  • nevermind, sorry i thought i was commenting on a Canon 5d video

  • Wow, excellent video with a truly cinematic look. Can't wait to get my hands on my recently ordered GH2 14-128mm kit!

  • PLS what lens was used filming this !!!!

  • 1.36 when the slow tracking shots begin; WOW. so steady and beautiful, how was this acheived it must be some sort of rig because ive seen a lot of handheld footage of dslrs and they are not this steady. any insights?

  • @AMBat3rdrock sliders

  • That was a very nice video, Can i know what the last 3 songs were called tho?

  • Africa is the most beautiful continent in the world i n my opinion :)

  • WOW.... nice footage....! Will soon get my Panny!

  • DUDE! You're video is amazing! This is exactly what I wanna do! I'm headed to Nepal towards the end of the year. I'm gonna buy this cam and test it out there! =D P.s. Loved your shots! =)

  • Perfect movie with inspired angles, music and editing and of course perfect landscapes, good camera, some little problems with focus and manual zoom but overall very good one.

  • I was just going to buy the 60D.. but seeing this amazing video, and the quality it has, I gonna take a deep look at GH2.

  • @widam3d this was shot with the canon 5d mark2 not the GH2 or do u mean u just want a camera that is better in video than the 60d?

  • @whole27 mm.. I ended with a 60d, very difficult to get one GH2, no place to buy it.. bad move of Panasonic. :(

  • @widam3d well im sure you can always find it online but how is the 60d....i already made a mistake by getting a Sony 550v camcorder thinking it wouldn't make much difference in the editing process...now i've been scouring youtube and doing research for months and now its down to the Canon 5d mark2 and GH2 but in a few months, new models will come out and i'll have to decide all over again:)

Canon 5d mark3 is coming out!

  • absolute genius and looks like a very exciting trip , video quality is amazing also still images very impressive indeed !! WOW what a fantastic job !! Q: how were the underwater shots achieved ! thanks ; )

  • great video! most part hand helded , really a great job! beautiful

does exist an underwater case for the GH2?

  • waoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo gh2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • making of here:

    watch?v=KkGHjUaLBno

    thumps up

  • Great video, thanks!

  • Panasonic's IS doesnt seem to work very well

  • @JogBird i heard this, but I own many Panasonic lenses that use with my Olympus camera, and actually Panasonic's OIS feels better than Olympus's sensor based IS.

  • Nice video. Unfortunately, in some sections panning with fast moving objects in the frame is too fast for the framerate, and it makes it look really choppy.

  • Nice I just got my GH2 yesterday with the 14-42....I'm planning on buying lenses only from money that I make from the GH2.

  • Most of your video is horribly glitchy! you probably needed to film in 30 or 60fps and then conform down to 24p because alot of your shots have fast moving bits and your glitching up hard :( i love the gh2 but it looks bad here

  • Well shot, great footage.

Thanks for the inspiration. This camera is definitely at the top of my list. I hope to get the 14-140mm as well as a fisheye, or extreme wide angle to go with it.

Did you use the 14-140 most of the time or did you have to resort to the 300 for wildlife shots?

(I bet you had a heck of a time keeping sand out of your gear... Haha).

    Great job!

  • i really love your video...super like! hope you can make more videos like this...just WONDERFUL. from philippines

  • Hi, i see you have a lot of experience with this product.

I was wondering what micro four thirds lenses you would recommend?

  • I just purchased the GH2 and I'm going to Kenya in August, so this video makes me even MORE excited. Hope to get as great of footage as you did! :)

  • What program did you use to convert the files of your gh2? are you using mac platform or windows platform? and on what settings where you shooting the videos most of the time?

    Regards

    Daniel SHelley

  • A great video and a fantastic camera!

  • amazing! every bit of it was magical to watch, you have confirmed my plan to get the GH2.

  • Fantastic quality. Makes me proud that I just purchased a GH2!

  • Very nice - why didn't you upload a 1080 version? You did shoot in 1080/24P didn't you? Was that rolling shutter from the airplane?

  • All that i want to say is WOW!!!!!

  • Absolutely beautiful! Fantastic job and well done GH2!

  • Awesome job, do you guys have still photos from this trip? I'd love to see how the camera did with Photography. I'm currently an SLR and regular Camcorder owner and looking to consolidate and go with a small body like this camera. I also looked at the 60d but no autofocus kills it. I want to replace my dslr (Nikon D5000) with this camera. Need to make sure it's at least up to par =).

  • For video go gh2 all the way. The 60d can only take 4GB video's at 1080p with its compression rate thats only like 7 minutes. I had it but sold it after the gh2 came out.

  • Excellent vid. I am currently torn between the Canon 60d and the GH2.

  • @jazzemagic I was to but I eventually decided on the GH2 based on it's incredible video quality/ functionality as well as ease of use. If you are mainly looking into photography over video however and don't mind the size or weight of the 60d, it might be a better option. It all depends on what you plan on shooting.

  • did you use a waterproof case for the scene where the water splashed on the lens or is the camera weather proofed?

  • Great Video!! congratulations, my question, are you use prime lens or standard zoom lens? For example 14 -140 etc, thanks!!!

  • Thanks for taking me away for 14mins...had to watch it twice!

Very well put together...a joy to watch...cute shoulder strap play!

Must have been a fun trip!
