It's cool the first time you use it, until you realize that it has no system to learn your writing patterns or use the patterns of the English language. It constantly gets words wrong. The wrong your/you're or too/to. Confusing out/put/our/it. I would love to type a message and not have to go back and fix something JUST ONCE! Letters are too close together and too many words have the same swipe paths. It's awful. I downloaded Swift Key X yesterday and it's freaking awesome. GOODBYE SWYPE.

Okay my problem with swype is that it seems you would need two hands to text. Unlike T9 which you can just type with your thumb. using swype with just your thumb seems like the phone would be too wobbly or unsteady and lead to wrong words inputted....

I don't see why it would be the least bit faster than just simply typing by hitting each letter. The fact that you slide your finger from letter to letter is not going to make it any faster.

You still have to pause at each letter, so it's pointless.

One word - Novelty. This isn't a new step in technology it's a big toy. Notice they rarely show the other person typing. Yeah it looks different but it will never be able to do what the full qwerty can do. 1. I can type without looking at the screen (something a touchscreen can't offer is position fed-back) 2. My phone auto corects. 3. u only hav 160 charactrs n the ave txt which means u will wanna shortn words. (something t9 also doesn't like.

@neobaptist1986 Its actually pretty easy...if you text enough you know where the letters are so, like you, I didnt know how the whole not looking and texting would go..but you basically just trace where you think the letters are and even if you screw it up pretty bad/miss letters it will recognize what you meant...to correct you just double tap the word and tap type what you meant and it saves that for next time...its pretty cool man seriously

Just a few minor issues with it...like in landscape the comma can't be input quickly (it comes out as a period), that and the hold time for shift characters to come up can't be adjusted.

It's not hard at all. I went through the tutorial on the phone. Took like 2 or 3 mins. It's so easy. And no I don't work for them. I'm just really impressed. i though it sounded not all that interesting when I heard about it on a tech site. Try it out. How can you go wrong for free. I think it may just be a trial though.
