Maximizing Methane Production as a Renewable Energy Source

I wonder if we could build a digester that uses parabolic collectors to aid in the bacteria production. We have surplus barrels of plastic that can be gleaned from softdrink producesr and carwashes these barrels along with the smaller barrels could make a fine digester add with it some black spraypaint and a reflector and methane production should increase greatly next would be cleaning the gas for cars. If anything a methane/solar water heater would be fine.

Scott! this is so great! you make a good scientist, you really looked the part ;)!!! the problem was adressed differently then i expected, and more scientific as well. One thing i noticed, and was wondering about your opinion on, was about the sludge you used. I saw you poor half of the container into the other container and was wondering if the sediments that floated the the bottom, not present in all the trials, could have scewed your results??
